Effect of various physical properties on the reflection coefficients of inhomogeneous waves at the stress-free surface of partially saturated soils induced by obliquely incident fast P-wave

Ghasemzadeh and Abounouri[1]developed a mathematical model of partially saturated soils that is solved using the potential method,which decomposes elastodynamics equations into two standard wave equations,a scalar wave equation for scalar potential and a vector wave equation for vector *** such a medium,four waves exist three longitudinal and one *** fluid phase tortuous path is taken into account in this *** inertial coupling between solid and fluid particles is ***,both open-pore and sealed-pore boundaries are explored to investigate the reflection phenomenon at the surface of partially saturated *** both boundaries,the reflection coefficients of inhomogeneous waves at a partially saturated soil surface are found as a non-singular set of linear *** waves(both reflected and incident)in partially saturated soils are pronounced as inhomogeneous due to viscosity in pore fluids(i.e.,distinct directions of attenuation and propagation).The energy shares of reflected waves are determined using an energy matrix.A numerical example is used to determine the reflection coefficients and the distribution of incident energy among the various reflected *** effect of different physical features on reflection coefficients and incident energy partitioning is illustrated *** conservation of incident energy at the surface of partially saturated soils is mathematically confirmed at all angles of incidence.

In the real world,one of the most common problems in project management is the unpredictability of resources and *** efficient way to resolve uncertainty problems and overcome such obstacles is through an extended fuzzy approach,often known as neutrosophic *** rigorous proposed model has led to the creation of an advanced technique for computing the triangular single-valued neutrosophic *** innovative approach evaluates the inherent uncertainty in project durations of the planning phase,which enhances the potential significance of the decision-making process in the *** proposed method,for the first time in the neutrosophic set literature,not only solves existing problems but also introduces a new set of problems not yet explored in previous research.A comparative study using Python programming was conducted to examine the effectiveness of responsive and adaptive planning,as well as their differences from other existing models such as the classical critical path problem and the fuzzy critical path *** study highlights the use of neutrosophic logic in handling complex projects by illustrating an innovative dynamic programming framework that is robust and flexible,according to the derived results,and sets the stage for future discussions on its scalability and application across different industries.

Optimization of AWJm Process Parameters on 3D-Printed Onyx-Glass Fiber Hybrid Composite

Compared with conventional manufacturing methods, the additive manufacturing technique enhances mechanical properties. The present investigation of additive manufacturing technique is focused on delamination studies of Onyx-Glass Fiber Hybrid Polymer Composite(OGFHPC) along with surface roughness properties during machining(drilling) of composites through abrasive water jet machining(AWJm). However, delamination is a major issue during machining of OGFHPC. In order to overcome these drawbacks, the fabrication of OGFHPC was carried out using fused deposition modeling(FDm) technology which is an additive manufacturing method with mark forged mark Two 3D-composite printer. The machinability studies were conducted for drilling operation through AWJm process with different abrasive mass flow rates, drilling diameters and traverse speeds. These drilling machinability process parameters were optimized through the design of experiments-Taguchi analysis followed by the analysis of variance(ANOVA) and validated through the Harmony Search Algorithm(HSA), Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA) and Grey Wolf Optimization Algorithm(GWO). It was observed that minimum delamination and surface roughness of OGFHPC were optimized for AWJm at abrasive mass flow rates(450 g/min), drilling diameters(12 mm) and traverse speed rate(30 mm/min).

Techno-Economic Optimization of Novel Stand-Alone Renewable Based Electric Vehicle Charging Station near Bahria Town Karachi,Sindh Pakistan

Electric vehicles (EVs) are the most interesting and innovative technology in the 21st century because of theirenormous advantages, both technically and economically. Their emissions rate compared to fuel-based vehicles isnegligible as they do not consume fuel and hence do not emit any harmful gases. However, their bulk production,adoption and lack of charging stations increase the stress of power stations due to modern-day lifestyles. If Electricvehicles demand increases drastically then conventional power stations will not bear their demand and if theygenerate electricity by conventional means it will be very costly and may further add greenhouse gases. Therefore,this research provides the techno-economic assessment of a stand-alone renewable-dependent electric vehiclecharging station, excluding any burden on electrical utility. The proposed study is carried out in Bahria Town,Karachi, a city in Pakistan. In this study, HOmER Pro software was utilized for techno-economic assessment. Ahybrid system comprising solar Photovoltaic/Wind Turbine/Fuel cells and battery storage is included in the *** and wind resources were taken from NASA’s website, where charging stations will be integrated. The overallresults show promising in terms of total Net Present Cost and the Cost of Energy which are 2.72m $ and 0.237 $,respectively. The total system generation is 3,598 megawatt hours per year, and the total energy consumption is 885megawatt hours per year.

Total knee arthroplasty with long tibial stem for tibial stress fractures with knee osteoarthritis:Two birds with one stone

Purpose:The treatment and outcome of tibial stress fractures concomitant with knee osteoarthritis(OA)are *** aim of this study was to evaluate the functional and radiological outcome of total knee arthroplasty with long tibial stem as a treatment for patients having knee OA and tibial stress ***:Patients who were diagnosed to have proximal tibia stress fracture along with knee OA at our institution between June 2013 and November 2018 were included in our *** patients underwent total knee arthroplasty with long tibial *** and postoperative functional assessments were done according to range of movement of the knee joint,knee society score and knee injury and OA outcome *** analysis was carried out by mean and standard deviation for quantitative variables,frequency and proportion for categorical ***:Twelve patients were included in the *** patients were found to have stress fractures in the proximal half of tibia and *** patients had non-union/delayed union,and 8 patients had acute *** average preoperative range of movement was 88.1°,which improved to 116.3°at 3 months following *** was found that the fracture has healed in all *** knee society score improved from 32.9 preoperatively to 89.3 at 1 year *** injury and OA outcome score improved from a mean score of 28.3 preoperatively to 81.1 at 1 year ***:Stress fractures can occur in the proximal tibia in patients with knee *** knee arthroplasty with tibial stem provides a suitable solution for both *** plating or bone graft is unlikely to be required.

Crystal structure and luminescence dynamics of highly pure Lim(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(m=Sr,Ca) red phosphors for white light emitting diodes

Highly pure red phosphors Lim(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(m=Sr,Ca) doped with Eu^(3+)(1 mol%) were synthesized via solution combustion method and their crystal structure and luminescence dynamics were studied to explore its suitability in white light emitting *** Rietveld refinement analysis of the powder Xray diffraction patterns reveals that the phosphors belong to the pure triclinic phase of LiSr(PO_(3))_(3) and LiCa(PO_(3)) with space group P-1(2).The scanning electron microscopy images showed the agglomerated *** photoluminescence emission spectra under 393 nm show an orange band at 594 nm and a red band at 613 nm ascribed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) transitions of Eu^(3+)ion in both the ***,the spectroscopic properties such as luminescence behaviour,and Stark splitting were used to examine the symmetry of Eu^(3+)ions in Lim(PO_(3))_(3):Es^(3+)(m=Sr,Ca) phosphors in terms of distortion induced upon *** Stark splitting shows that the actual site symmetry for Eu^(3+)ion was estimated to be D_(2) type for both *** photometric properties of LiCa(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)such as Commission International de l'Eclairage coordinates(x=0.64,y=0.36) near to the standard one(red),high color purity(95%) and higher brightness reveal that the phosphor has the capability of acting as a red component in n-UV white light emitting diodes.
