A Secure Framework for WSN-IoT Using Deep Learning for Enhanced Intrusion Detection

The security of the wireless sensor network-Internet of Things (WSN-IoT) network is more challenging due to its randomness and self-organized nature. Intrusion detection is one of the key methodologies utilized to ensure the security of the network. conventional intrusion detection mechanisms have issues such as higher misclassification rates, increased model complexity, insignificant feature extraction, increased training time, increased run time complexity, computation overhead, failure to identify new attacks, increased energy consumption, and a variety of other fac.o.s that limit the performance of the intrusion system model. In this research a security framework for WSN-IoT, through a deep learning technique is introduced using Modified Fuzzy-Adaptive DenseNet (MF_AdaDenseNet) and is benchmarked with datasets like NSL-KDD, UNSWNB15, cIDDS-001, Edge IIoT, Bot IoT. In this, the optimal feature selection using capturing Dingo optimization (c.o. is devised to acquire relevant features by removing redundant features. The proposed MF_AdaDenseNet intrusion detection model offers significant benefits by utilizing optimal feature selection with the c.o.algorithm. This results in enhanced Detection capacity with minimal computation complexity, as well as a reduction in False Alarm Rate (FAR) due to the consideration of classification error in the fitness estimation. As a result, the combined c.o.based feature selection and MF_AdaDenseNet intrusion detection mechanism outperform other state-of-the-art techniques, achieving maximal Detection capacity, precision, recall, and F-Measure of 99.46%, 99.54%, 99.91%, and 99.68%, respectively, along with minimal FAR and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.9% and 0.11. © 2024 The Authors.

Study of damage behavior and repair effectiveness of patch repaired carbon fiber laminate under quasi-static indentation loading

Damage caused due to low-velocity impacts in composites leads to substantial deterioration in their residual strength and eventually provokes structural *** work presents an experimental investigation on the effects of different patch and parent laminate stacking sequences on the enhancement of impact strength of carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers(cFRP)composites by utilising the adhesively bonded external patch repair *** evolution study is also performed with the aid of Acoustic Emission(AE).Two different quasi-isotropic configurations were selected for the parent laminate,viz.,[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/0°/45°/0°]*** Static Indentation(QSI)test was performed on both the pristine laminates,and damage areas were detected by using the c-scan inspection *** laminates were repaired by using a single-sided patch of two different configurations,viz.,[45°/45°/45°/45°]and[45°/0°/0°/45°],and employing a circular plug to fill the damaged *** different combinations of repaired laminates with two configurations of each parent and patch laminate were produced,which were further subjected to the QSI *** results reveal the effectiveness of the repair method,as all the repaired laminates show higher impact resistance compared to the respective pristine *** of[45°/0°/0°/45°]configuration when repaired by taking[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/0°/45°/0°]s as parents exhibited 68%and 73%higher peak loads,respectively,than the respective pristine ***,parent and patch of configuration[45°/0°/45°/0°]s and[45°/0°/0°/45°],respectively,attain the highest peak load,whereas[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/45°/45°/45°]combinations possess the most gradual decrease in the load.

crystal structure and luminescence dynamics of highly pure LiM(Po_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(M=Sr,ca) red phosphors for white light emitting diodes

Highly pure red phosphors LiM(Po_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(M=Sr,ca) doped with Eu^(3+)(1 mol%) were synthesized via solution combustion method and their crystal structure and luminescence dynamics were studied to explore its suitability in white light emitting *** Rietveld refinement analysis of the powder Xray diffraction patterns reveals that the phosphors belong to the pure triclinic phase of LiSr(Po_(3))_(3) and Lica(Po_(3)) with space group P-1(2).The scanning electron mic.o.copy images showed the agglomerated *** photoluminescence emission spectra under 393 nm show an orange band at 594 nm and a red band at 613 nm ascribed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) transitions of Eu^(3+)ion in both the ***,the spectroscopic properties such as luminescence behaviour,and Stark splitting were used to examine the symmetry of Eu^(3+)ions in LiM(Po_(3))_(3):Es^(3+)(M=Sr,ca) phosphors in terms of distortion induced upon *** Stark splitting shows that the actual site symmetry for Eu^(3+)ion was estimated to be D_(2) type for both *** photometric properties of Lica(Po_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)such as commission International de l'Eclairage c.o.dinates(x=0.64,y=0.36) near to the standard one(red),high color purity(95%) and higher brightness reveal that the phosphor has the capability of acting as a red component in n-UV white light emitting diodes.

Understanding arsenic behavior in alluvial aquifers:Evidence from sediment geochemistry,solute chemistry and environmental isotopes

The hydro-geochemistry and isotopic variations in groundwater,coupled with sediment geochemistry,were investigated in the Middle Gangetic Plain,India,to better understand the aquifer dynamics that influence the arsenic(As)evolution and ***-four groundwater samples,thirteen River water samples,and two sediment cores(33 mbgl)were *** samples were analyzed for major ions and trace metals,including As and stable isotopic variability(δ^(2)H,δ^(18)o,andδ^(13)c).The study area was categorized into older and younger alluvium based on existing geomorphological *** alluvium exhibits higher As enrichment in sediment and groundwater,ranging of 2.59–31.52 mg/kg and bdl to 0.62 mg/*** samples were thermodynamically more stable with As(oH)_(3)species ranging from 88.5%to 91.4%and FeooH from 69%to 81%,*** and mineralogical analysis suggested goethite and siderite act as a source and sink for ***,statistical analysis suggested reductive dissolution as the primary mechanism for As mobilization in the study ***-temporal analysis revealed elevated concentrations of As in the central and northeastern regions of the study *** isotope(δ^(2)H andδ^(18)o)analysis inferred active recharge conditions primarily driven by *** depleted d-excess value and enrichedδ^(18)o in the groundwater of younger alluvium indicate the effect of groundwater recharge with significant evaporation *** recharge potentially decreased the quantity of arsenic in groundwater,whereas evaporation enrichment increased *** infiltration during recharge introduces oxygenated water into the aquifer,leading to changes in the redox conditions and facilitating biogeochemical *** carbon isotope(δ^(13)c)results suggest that high mic.o.ial activity in younger alluvium promotes As leaching from sediment into the groundwater.

In the present study,we applied Tsallis non-extensive statistics to investigate the thermodynamic properties and phase diagram of quark matter in the Polyakov chiral SU(3)quark mean field *** this model,the properties of the quark matter were modified through the scalar fieldsσ,ζ,δ,χ,vec.o. fieldsω,ρ,ϕ,and Polyakov fieldsΦandΦ¯at finite temperature and chemical ***-extensive effects were introduced through a dimensionless parameter q,and the results were compared to those of the extensive case(q→1).In the non-extensive case,the exponential in the Fermi-Dirac(FD)function was modified to a q-exponential *** influence of the q parameter on the thermodynamic properties,pressure,energy,and entropy density,as well as trace anomaly,was *** speed of sound and specific heat with non-extensive effects were also ***,the effect of non-extensivity on the deconfinement phase transition as well as the chiral phase transition of u,d,and s quarks was *** found that the critical end point(cEP),which defines the point in the(T−μ)phase diagram where the order of the phase transition changes,shifts to a lower value of temperature,TcEP,and a higher value of chemical potential,μcEP,as the non-extensivity is increased,that is,q>1.

Role of doxycycline in the treatment of dengue infection: An open-label, randomized, controlled, pilot trial

objective:To measure the effect of doxycycline on inflammatory marker[IL-6,TNF-α,ferritin and c reactive protein(cRP)]levels in patients with dengue ***:A single-centre,open-label,parallel-group randomized controlled trial was done in PGIMER chandigarh from June 2021 to oc.o.er *** were randomized using a simple randomization process into two groups:the doxycycline treatment group(n=35)and the control group(n=34).Patients in the treatment group were given oral doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for five days along with standard treatment,whereas patients in the control group received only standard *** objective was to measure the effect of doxycycline on inflammatory markers in dengue ***:on comparative analysis at day 5,there was a statistically significant reduction in the median values of ferritin and cRP in cases compared to the control group(ferritin:P=0.006 and cRP:P=0.006).No significant reduction was noted in the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α.conclusions:Doxycycline treatment led to a reduction of inflammatory markers in dengue infection.
