This review describes woodchucks chronically infected with the woodchuck hepatitis virus(WHV)as an animal model for hepatocarcinogenesis and treatment of primary liver cancer or hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)induced by the hepatitis b virus(HbV).Since laboratory animal models susceptible to HbV infection are limited,woodchucks experimentally infected with WHV,a hepatitis virus closely related to HbV,are increasingly used to enhance our understanding of virus-host interactions,immune response,and liver disease progression.A correlation of severe liver pathogenesis with high-level viral replication and deficient antiviral immunity has been established,which are present during chronic infection after WHV inoculation of neonatal woodchucks for modeling vertical HbV transmission in *** in chronic carrier woodchucks develops 17 to 36 mo after neonatal WHV infection and involves liver tumors that are comparable in size,morphology,and molecular gene signature to those of HbV-infected ***,woodchucks with WHV-induced liver tumors have been used for the improvement of imaging and ablation techniques of human *** addition,drug efficacy studies in woodchucks with chronic WHV infection have revealed that prolonged treatment with nucleos(t)ide analogs,alone or in combination with other compounds,minimizes the risk of liver disease progression to *** recently,woodchucks have been utilized in the delineation of mechanisms involved in innate and adaptive immune responses against WHV during acute,self-limited and chronic *** interventions based on modulating the deficient host antiviral immunity have been explored in woodchucks for inducing functional cure in HbV-infected patients and for reducing or even delaying associated liver disease sequelae,including the onset of ***,woodchucks with chronic WHV infection constitute a well-characterized,fully immunocompetent animal model for HbV-induced liver cancer and for preclinical

Photovoltaics(PV)are widely used as renewable energy sources for standalone and grid connected PV *** these PV systems face major reduction in output power and efficiency due to Partial Shading Conditions(PSCs).This research paper focuses on the different choices of optimum PV Configuration under a given shading pattern to extract maximum power by mitigating mismatching *** PV configurations,such as Series(S),Series Parallel(SP),Total Cross Tied(TCT),bridge Linked(bL),Honey Comb(HC)and Alternate Total Cross Tied–bridge Linked(A-TCT-bL)are modeled and analyzed under *** shading patterns,such as center,diagonal,corner,L-shaped,short and narrow,short and wide,long and narrow,long and wide and random,are considered to study the behavior of a 6×6 array form of a PV *** performances are compared based on open circuit voltage,short circuit current,global maximum power point(GMPP),maximum voltage,maximum current,shading loss,fill factor,mismatching loss and efficiency.A novel Hybrid Configuration called A-TCT-bL PV Configuration is proposed to generate maximum power under PSCs and to minimize the number of cross ties and wiring *** Configuration is an integration of TCT and bL PV Configuration and the simulation results prove the capability of this proposed PV Configuration to generate maximum power,fill factor,efficiency and minimum mismatching loss compared to S,SP,bL and HC PV Configurations under a majority of the PSCs investigated.A Canadian Solar CS5P-200M PV module is considered for simulation and is simulated using Matlab/Simulink software.

Lignocellulosic substrates are a good carbon source and provide rich growth media for a variety of microorganisms which prodLuce industrially important enzymes. Cellulases are a group of hydrolytic enzymes such as filter paperase (FPase), carboxymethyl cellulase(CMCase) andβ-glucosidase-responsible for release of sugars in the bioconversion of the lignocellulosic biomass into a variety of value-added products. This study examined cellulase production by a newly isolated Aspergillus unguis on individual lignocellulosic substrates in solid state fermentation (SSF). The maximum peak production of enzymes varied from one substrate to another, however,based on the next best solid support and local availability of groundnut fodder supported maximum enzyme yields compared with other solid supports used in this *** fodder supported significant production of FPase (5.9 FPU/g of substrate), CMCase (1.1 U/g of substrate) andβ-glucosidase activity (6.5 U/g of substrate) in SSF. Considerable secretion of protein (27.0 mg/g of substrate) on groundnut fodder was recorded. Constant increment of protein content in groundnut fodder due to cultivation of A. unguis is an interesting observation and it has implications for the improvement of nutritive value of groundnut fodder for cattle.

The demand for cybersecurity is rising recently due to the rapid improvement of network *** a primary defense mechanism,an intrusion detection system(IDS)was anticipated to adapt and secure com-puting infrastructures from the constantly evolving,sophisticated threat ***,various deep learning methods have been put forth;however,these methods struggle to recognize all forms of assaults,especially infrequent attacks,because of network traffic imbalances and a shortage of aberrant traffic samples for model *** work introduces deep learning(DL)based Attention based Nested U-Net(ANU-Net)for intrusion detection to address these issues and enhance detection *** this IDS model,the first data preprocessing is carried out in three stages:duplication elimi-nation,label transformation,and data *** the features are extracted and selected based on the Improved Flower Pollination Algorithm(IFPA).The Improved Monarchy butterfly Optimization Algorithm(IMbO),a new metaheuristic,is used to modify the hyper-parameters in ANU-Net,effectively increasing the learning rate for spatial-temporal information and resolving the imbalance *** the use of parallel programming,the MapReduce architecture reduces computation complexity while signifi-cantly accelerating *** publicly available data sets were used to evaluate and test the *** investigational outcomes suggest that the proposed technique can more efficiently boost the performances of IDS under the scenario of unbalanced *** proposed method achieves above 98%accuracy and classifies various attacks significantly well compared to other classifiers.

The incidence of male reproductive failure leading to infertility, whether due to delayed parenthood, environmental issues, genetic factors, drugs, etc., is increasing throughout the world. The diagnosis and prognosis of male subfertility have become a challenge. While the basic semen assessment has been performed for many years, a number of studies question the value of the traditional semen characteristics. This is partly due to inadequate methods and standardization, limited knowledge of technical requirements for quality assurance, and an incomplete understanding of what clinical information a semen assessment can provide. Laboratories currently performing semen and endocrine assessment show great variability. The World Health Organization （WHO） manual for the evaluation of semen has been the core of andrology and fertility evaluation that has helped in further development of this field over many years. These include the physical appearance of the ejaculate, assessments of sperm count, motility, vitality, morphology, and functional aspects of the sperm and semen sample. These tests also include male endocrine profile, biochemical evaluation of the semen, detection of antisperm antibodies in serum, the use of computer-aided sperm analysis （CASA）, sperm DNA integrity, and its damage due to oxidative stress. Assisted reproductive techniques （e.g., IVF, ICSI） have shown great success but are too expensive. Further development in this field with newer techniques and extensive training/instructions can improve accuracy and reduce variability, thus maintaining the quality and standards of such an evaluation. There is an urgent need to have standardized training centers and increased awareness in this area of men＇s health for reproductive success.

Endocrine disruptors （e.g., polychlorinated biphenyls [PCbs], dichlorodiphenyl-trichloroethane [DDT], dioxin, and some pesticides） are estrogen-like and anti-androgenic chemicals in the environment. They mimic natural hormones, inhibit the action of hormones, or alter the normal regulatory function of the endocrine system and have potential hazardous effects on male reproductive axis causing infertility. Although testicular and prostate cancers, abnormal sexual development, undescended testis, chronic inflammation, Sertoli-cell-only pattern, hypospadias, altered pituitary and thyroid gland functions are also observed, the available data are insufficient to deduce worldwide conclusions. The development of intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection （ICSI） is beyond doubt the most important recent breakthrough in the treatment of male infertility, but it does not necessarily treat the cause and may inadvertently pass on adverse genetic consequences. Many well-controlled clinical studies and basic scientific discoveries in the physiology, biochemistry, and molecular and cellular biology of the male reproductive system have helped in the identification of greater numbers of men with male factor problems. Newer tools for the detection of Y-chromosome deletions have further strengthened the hypothesis that the decline in male reproductive health and fertility may be related to the presence of certain toxic chemicals in the environment. Thus the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of male factor infertility remain a real challenge. Clinicians should always attempt to identify the etiology of a possible testicular toxicity, assess the degree of risk to the patient being evaluated for infertility, and initiate a plan to control and prevent exposure to others once an association between occupation/toxicant and infertility has been established.

Photooxidative removal of pharmaceuticals and organic dyes is an effective way to eliminate growing micropollutants. However, photooxidation often results in byproducts as secondary hazardous substances such as phytotoxins. Herein, we found that photooxidation of common antibiotic tetracycline hydrochloride(TCH) over a metal-free 8-hydroxyquinoline(8-HQ) functionalized carbon nitride(CN) photocatalyst significantly reduces the TCH phytotoxic effect. The phytotoxicity test of photocatalytic treated TCH-solution evaluated towards seed growth of Cicer arietinum plant model endowed natural root and shoot *** study highlights the conceptual insights in designing of metal-free photocatalyst for environmental remediation.
