Cecocutaneous fistula diagnosed by computed tomography fistulography:A case report

BACKGROUND Enterocutaneous fistula(ECF) is an abnormal communication between the skin and the gastrointestinal tract and is associated with considerable morbidity and mortality. To diagnose ECF, X-ray fistulography and abdominal computed tomography(CT) with intravenous or oral contrast are generally used. If the anatomic details obtained from CT are insufficient, CT fistulography may help diagnose and determine the extent of the abnormal channel. However, CT fistulography is seldom performed in patients with insufficient evidence of a *** SUMMARY A 35-year-old man with a prior appendectomy presented with purulence over the abdominal wall without gastrointestinal tract symptoms or a visible opening on the abdominal surface. His history and physical examination were negative for nausea, diarrhea, muscle guarding, and bloating. local abdominal tenderness and redness over a purulent area were noted, which led to the initial diagnosis of cellulitis. He was admitted to our hospital with a diagnosis of cellulitis. We performed a minimal incision on the carbuncle to collect the pus. The bacterial culture of the exudate resulted positive for Enterococcus sp. ECF was thus suspected, and we arranged a CT scan for further investigation. CT images before intravenous contrast administration showed that the colon was in close contact with the abdominal wall. Therefore, we conducted CT fistulography by injecting contrast dye into the carbuncle during the CT scan. The images showed an accumulation of the contrast agent within the subcutaneous tissues, suggesting the formation of an abscess. The contrast dye tracked down through the muscles and peritoneum into the colon, delineating a channel connecting the subcutaneous abscess with the colon. This evidence confirmed cecocutaneous fistula and avoided misdiagnosing ECF without gastrointestinal tract symptoms as cellulitis. Aldehyde oxidase mediated enantioselective metabolic health risk of dinotefuran

Chiral pollutants often pose significant differential environmental health *** this study,the biotransformation of chiral dinotefuran(DIN)and its enantioselective metabolic toxicity mechanisms have been systemically ***,reversedphase chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry was developed to quantify the content of DIN R/S chiral enantiomer with pg level sensitivity,revealing a lower elimination rate constant(K_(e))of S-DIN(0.730 h^(-1))than R-DIN(0.746 h^(-1)).Secondly,the interaction mechanism between DIN metabolism and important endogenous bioactive molecules,such as aldehyde oxidase(AOX)and neurotransmitters,was *** DIN nitro-group was converted into a guanidine group by the reducing site of nearby flavin adenine dinucleotide(FAD)in AOX with the preferred higher affinity of ***,the endogenous tryptophan(Trp)aldehyde metabolic intermediate,5-hydroxyindoleacetaldehyde(5-HIAL),provides a persistent electron donor for DIN reduction via the oxidation-catalyzed site in AOX,resulting in remarkable up-regulation of monoamine neurotransmitters such as serotonin and ***,the higher level of neurotransmitters further mediated dysregulation of oxylipin homeostasis via the serotonergic pathway,where S-DIN exhibited more pronounced liver lipid damage and environmental health risk with the accumulated lipid biomarkers,oxidized triglyceride(OxTG)and oxidized sphingomyelin(OxSM).This study elucidates the AOX-mediated enantioselectivity metabolic pathway of DIN,providing a new analytical method for chiral pollutants and paves the way for their health risk assessments.

A gold-based multiplex immunochromatographic sensor for detecting paclitaxel

Paclitaxel(PTX),methotrexate(MTX),and 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)are commonly-used small molecule anti-tumor drugs for breast ***,drug resistance occurs with long-term treatment or excessive use,and the high concentrations of PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in patients may lead to side effects with dose-limiting toxicities,such as myelosuppression,hepatotoxicity,and peripheral ***,concentration monitoring of PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in clinical treatment is very *** prepared highly sensitive and specific monoclonal antibodies using several haptens,and established a multiple paper-based sensor utilizing optical signals of gold nanoparticles,which simultaneously detected PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in human plasma or urine with 10 min.A portable scanner for quantitative detection in plasma and urine samples was used,and the calculated limit of detection(cloD)values were 0.002 and 0.142μg/mL for PTX,0.187 and 0.976 ng/mL for MTX,and 0.057 and 0.128μg/mL for 5-FU,*** the recovery test,the recovery rates and the coefficient of variation were 85.84%–108.81%and 1.23%–8.80%,respectively,indicating the reliability and accuracy of the multiple gold immunochromatographic strip(GIS).In addition,for the determination of collected clinical plasma samples,the correlation between the test data of the multiple GIS and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS)was ***,the developed multiple GIS could be applied to the rapid detection of PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in different clinical samples.

Quantitative assessment of the breast cancer marker HER2 using a gold nanoparticle-based lateral flow immunoassay

TRIM21-dependent ultrasmall chiral gold nanoparticles for preventing microglia senescence against Alzheimer's disease

Tripartite motif 21(TRIM21)is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that shows great promise for protein degradation through ***,ultrasmall chiral gold nanoparticles(D-or L-NPs)modified by D-or L-glutathione ligands were *** conjugated with an NLR family pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3)antibody(D-NP-a NLRP3 or L-NP-a NLRP3),DNP-a NLRP3 showed effective delivery efficiency of the antibody into microglia and prevented Aβ-mediated microglia senescence,and p16^(ink4a),a marker of senescence,in the microglia was reduced by 90.3%±7.8% while L-NP-a NLRP3 decreased by 48.01%±3.1%.Mechanistic investigations revealed that the D-NP-a NLRP3((1.5±0.3)×10^(7)M^(-1))exhibited sixteen-fold larger binding affinity to transmembrane glycoprotein SLC3A2 than L-type((9.5±2.7)×10^(5)M^(-1)),which led to a high efficiency of antibody delivery and TRIM21-dependent NLRP3 ***,the blood-brain barrier(BBB)-crossing ability of chiral NP-a NLRP3 as well as NLRP3 degradation was demonstrated in *** APP/PS1 Alzheimer's disease(AD)model mice experiments exhibited a reduction of 89.7%±6.8% for the NLRP3 protein and 84.2±7.5% for p16^(ink4a)following the intravenous administration of D-NP-a NLRP3 once a week for 60 ***,the levels of the AD markers Aβ and phosphorylatedTau in the brains were reduced by 86.2%±8.2% and 81.6%±9.1%;these were 2.1-fold and 1.9-fold higher than those treated with L-NP-a NLRP3,*** studies provide a method to rescue AD-like pathologies and prevent senescence.

An efficient electrocatalyst is indispensable to significantly reduce energy consumption and accelerate the conversion efficiency of water *** this work,the honeycomb-like porous MoCo alloy on nitrogen-doped three-dimensional(3D)porous graphene substrate(Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG)has been synthesized from the annealing of layered double hydroxide(MoCo-LDH@NPG).Especially,the Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG exhibits low hydrogen evolution overpotential of 75 mV(10 mA·cm^(-2))and a Tafel slope of 69.9 mV·dec^(-1),which can be attributed to highly conductive NPG substrate,the unique nanostructure and the synergistic effect of Mo and ***,the Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG can maintain the original morphology and high catalytic activity after 50-h stability *** work proposes a general strategy to synthesize a multi-element alloy on conductive substrates with high porosity for electrocatalytic reaction.

Background:Shenzao dripping pill(SZDP)is empirically prescribed for treating cardiac ***,there is a lack of comprehensive knowledge regarding the underlying mechanisms contributing to its therapeutic *** objective of this study is to investigate the underlying mechanism of SZDP against chronic myocardial ischemia(CMI)in a rat ***:In this study,we utilized electrocardiographic and echocardiographic detection along with pathological tissue analysis to evaluate the efficacy of *** integration of network pharmacology and metabolomics was conducted to investigate the *** docking and molecular dynamics simulations were used to validate the binding energy between the compounds of SZDP and the associated ***:The results showed that SZDP was able to improve T wave voltage,reverse CMI abnormalities in ejection fraction and fractional shortening,and restore histopathological heart *** results indicated that disturbances of metabolic profile in CMI rats were partly corrected after SZDP administration,mainly affecting purine metabolism.13-Docosenamide may be the potential metabolic biomarker of the therapeutic application of SZDP for *** network pharmacology and metabolomics,thiopurine S-methyltransferase(TPMT),xanthine dehydrogenase/oxidase(XDH),bifunctional purine biosynthesis protein ATIC(ATIC),and cytochrome p4501A1(CYP1A1)were identified as possible targets of SZDP to exert therapeutic effects by enhancing the metabolic levels of L-Tryptophan,Deoxyribose 1-phosphate and Phosphoribosyl ***:SZDP has a therapeutic effect on CMI by regulating metabolite levels,acting on the targets of TMPT,XDH,ATIC,and CYP1A1,and reducing cardiomyocyte injury and myocardial fibrosis.

研究生教育在当前高等教育体系中占据着重要地位,而研究生分类培养模式则是适应不同需求和目标的重要举措之一。分类培养模式下,学术学术研究生培养课程体系与专业学位研究生在课程设置、课程结构、课程内容与课程评价方面均存在较大差异,课程体系建设难度进一步增加。本文将研究生分类培养的现状与分类培养模式下研究生课程体系建设规定性进行对比分析,发现现行课程目标、课程结构、课程内容与评价整体偏向于学术型,教学方法未能与本科阶段形成明显区分,对学术型、专业型两类人才的实践能力、职业精神、科研水平等关键素养提升效果不明显,与分类培养预期目标存在较大落差。进而提出分类培养模式下研究生课程体系建设的策略,以期为我国研究生分类培养模式的有效落实提供参考。
