Hepatitis B virus coinfection in human immunodeficiency virus-infected patients: A review

Hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a leading cause of chronic hepatitis,liver cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma *** to the shared modes of transmission,coinfection with HBV and human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)is not *** is estimatedthat 10%of HIV-infected patients worldwide are coinfected with *** areas where an HBV vaccination program is implemented,the HBV seroprevalence has declined *** HIV/HBV-coinfected patients,HBV coinfection accelerates immunologic and clinical progression of HIV infection and increases the risk of hepatotoxicity when combination antiretroviral therapy(cART)is initiated,while HIV infection increases the risk of hepatitis events,cirrhosis,and end-stage liver disease related to chronic HBV *** the advances in antiviral therapy,concurrent,successful longterm suppression of HIV and HBV replication can be achieved in the cART *** reduce the disease burden of HBV infection among HIV-infected patients,adoption of safe sex practices,avoidance of sharing needles and diluent,HBV vaccination and use of cART containing tenofovir disoproxil fumarate plus emtricitabine or lamivudine are the most effective ***,due to HIV-related immunosuppression,using increased doses of HBV vaccine and novel approaches to HBV vaccination are needed to improve the immunogenicity of HBV vaccine among HIV-infected patients.

Stress Analysis of Printed Circuit Board with Different Thickness and Composite Materials Under Shock Loading

In this study,the deformation and stress distribution of printed circuit board(PCB)with different thickness and composite materials under a shock loading were analyzed by the finite element *** standard 8-layer PCB subjected to a shock loading 1500 g was evaluated ***,the finite element models of the PCB with different thickness by stacking various number of layers were *** addition to changing thickness,the core material of PCB was replaced from woven E-glass/epoxy to woven carbon fiber/epoxy for structural *** non-linear material property of copper foil was considered in the *** results indicated that a thicker PCB has lower stress in the copper foil in PCBs under the shock *** stress difference between the thicker PCB(2.6 mm)and thinner PCB(0.6 mm)is around 5%.Using woven carbon fiber/epoxy as core material could lower the stress of copper foil around 6.6%under the shock loading 1500 g for the PCB with 0.6 mm *** the other hand,the stress level is under the failure strength of PCBs with carbon fiber/epoxy core layers and thickness 2.6 mm when the peak acceleration changes from 1500 g to 5000 *** study could provide a reference for the design and proper applications of the PCB with different thickness and composite materials.

Optimizing the Double Inverted Pendulum′s Performance via the Uniform Neuro Multiobjective Genetic Algorithm

An inverted pendulum is a sensitive system of highly coupled parameters, in laboratories, it is popular for modelling nonlinear systems such as mechanisms and control systems, and also for optimizing programmes before those programmes are applied in real situations. This study aims to find the optimum input setting for a double inverted pendulum（DIP）, which requires an appropriate input to be able to stand and to achieve robust stability even when the system model is unknown. Such a DIP input could be widely applied in engineering fields for optimizing unknown systems with a limited budget. Previous studies have used various mathematical approaches to optimize settings for DIP, then have designed control algorithms or physical mathematical *** study did not adopt a mathematical approach for the DIP controller because our DIP has five input parameters within its nondeterministic system model. This paper proposes a novel algorithm, named Uni Neuro, that integrates neural networks（NNs） and a uniform design（UD） in a model formed by input and response to the experimental data（metamodel）. We employed a hybrid UD multiobjective genetic algorithm（HUDMOGA） for obtaining the optimized setting input parameters. The UD was also embedded in the HUDMOGA for enriching the solution set, whereas each chromosome used for crossover, mutation, and generation of the UD was determined through a selection procedure and derived individually. Subsequently, we combined the Euclidean distance and Pareto front to improve the performance of the algorithm. Finally, DIP equipment was used to confirm the settings. The proposed algorithm can produce 9 alternative configured input parameter values to swing-up then standing in robust stability of the DIP from only 25 training data items and 20 optimized simulation results. Self-sustained oscillation for compressible cylindrical cavity flows

The presence of a cavity changes the mean and fluctuating pressure distributions. Similarities are observed between a cylindrical cavity and a rectangular cavity for a compressible *** type of cavity flow field depends on the diameter-to-depth ratio and the length-to-depth *** feedback loop is responsible for the generation of discrete acoustic tones. In this study, the selfsustained oscillation for a compressible cylindrical cavity flow was investigated experimentally. For open-type cavities, the power spectra show that the strength of resonance depends on the diameterto-depth ratio（4.43–43.0） and the incoming boundary layer thickness-to-depth ratio（0.72–7.0）. The effective streamwise length is used as the characteristic length to estimate the Strouhal number. At higher modes, there is a large deviation from Rossiter＇s formula for rectangular cavities. The gradient-based searching method was used to evaluate the values of the empirical parameters. Less phase lag and a lower convection velocity are observed.

A novel method of supporting gold nanoparticles on MWCNTs: Synchrotron X-ray reduction

Gold nanoparticles decorating the surface of multiwalled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） are prepared by photochemical reduction. The gold clusters form different interesting geometrical faceted shapes in accordance to time duration of synchrotron X-ray irradiation. The shape of nanogold could be spherical, rod-like, or triangular. Carbon nanotubes serve as optimal templates for the heterogeneous nucleation of gold nanocrystals. These nanocrystal structures are characterized by transmission electron microscope （TEM） and element analysis by energy dispersive spectroscopy （EDS）. 2007 Chinese Society of Particuology and Institute of Process Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences. Role of prophylactic antibiotics in cirrhotic patients with variceal bleeding

Bacterial infections are common in cirrhotic patients with acute variceal bleeding,occurring in 20%within48 *** including early rebleeding and failure to control bleeding are strongly associated with bacterial ***,mortality from variceal bleeding is largely determined by the severity of liver *** a higher Child-Pugh score,patients with hepatocellular carcinoma are particularly susceptible to *** several hypotheses that include increased use of instruments,greater risk of aspiration pneumonia and higher bacterial translocation,it remains debatable whether variceal bleeding results in infection or vice versa but studies suggest that antibiotic prophylaxis prior to endoscopy and up to 8 h is useful in reducing bacteremia and spontaneous bacterial *** gram negative bacilli of enteric origin are most commonly isolated from cultures,but more recently,gram positives and quinolone-resistant organisms are increasingly seen,even though their clinical significance is ***(including ciprofloxacin and norfloxacin)used for short term(7 d)have the most robust evidence and are recommended in most expert *** term intravenous cephalosporin(especially ceftriaxone),given in a hospital setting with prevalent quinolone-resistant organisms,has been shown in studies to be beneficial,particularly in high risk patients with advanced cirrhosis.

Are life insurance futures a safe haven during COVID‑19?

This study aims to examine whether life insurance futures can serve as a hedge against the COVID-19 pandemic and whether they have the characteristics of a safe haven under the impact of the health shocks of the COVID-19 *** chose three life insurance stock futures in India and one in Taiwan as samples,including the market index of the two countries and the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases as sample *** used the growth rate of COVID-19 cases as the threshold variable,esti-mated the asymmetric threshold vector autoregression model,and found that insur-ance futures in the regime with a significant growth rate of confirmed COVID-19 cases can hedge against COVID-19 risks;therefore,insurance futures are a safe haven for the *** further estimated the time-varying parameter vector autoregression model,and the impulse response results showed that insurance futures are a safe haven for COVID-19 pandemic risks.
