The aim of this article is to prove a fixed point theorem in 2-Banach spaces and show its applications to the Ulam stability of functional equations. The obtained stability re- sults concern both some single variable equations and the most important functional equation in several variables, namely, the Cauchy equation. Moreover, a few corollaries corresponding to some known hyperstability outcomes are presented.

It has been long known that thermal imaging may be used to detect stress(*** and nutrient deficiency)in growing *** in microbolometer thermal cameras,such as the introduction of imaging arrays that may operate without costly active temperature stabilization,have vitalized the interest in thermal imaging for crop *** study focused on the challenges occurring when temperature stabilization was omitted,including the effects of focal-plane-array(FPA)temperature,camera settings and the environment in which the measurements were ***,the models for providing thermal response from an analog LWIR video signal(typical output from low-cost microbolometer thermal cameras)were designed and ***,the challenges which typically occur under practical use of thermal imaging of crops were illustrated and discussed,by means of three cereal showcases,including proximal and remotely based(UAV)data *** results showed that changing FPA temperature greatly affected the measurements,and that wind and irradiance also appeared to affect the temperature dynamics ***,it is found that adequate settings of camera gain and offset were crucial for obtaining a reliable *** model which was considered best in terms of transforming video signals into thermal response data included information on camera FPA temperature,and was based on a priori calibrations using a black-body radiation source under controlled *** good calibration(r^(2)>0.99,RMSE=0.32℃,n=96)was obtained for a target temperature range of 15-35℃,covering typical daytime crop temperatures in the growing ***,the three showcases illustrated,that under practical conditions,more factors than FPA temperature may need to be corrected *** conclusion,this study shows that thermal data acquisition by means of an analog,uncooled thermal camera may represent a possible,cost-efficient method for the detection of crop stress,but approp

The purpose of the work is to prepare and characterize hybrid fillers of cereal straw perlite as well as to examine their impact on the functional properties of elastomeric *** rubber was used as the polymer matrix,vulcanized with a sulfuric crosslinking *** subject matter of the work included an interdisciplinary knowledge segment in the field of polymertechnology—hybrid *** work investigated the effect of physical(mecha nical)modificatio n of ligno cellulosic *** process of milling and homogenization of cereal straw with the addition of perlite was carried out in a planetary ball *** properties of biocomposites were examined in terms of two key aspects:The amount of hybrid filler and its ratio(cereal straw to natural mineral).The plate-like structure of natural minerals and the fibrous structure of cereal straw created a two-component filler,which influenced the properties of the produced biomaterials.A significant improvement in barrier,crosslinking density,hardness,mechanical and damping properties has been noted for systems containing hybrid ***,all vulcanizates proved to be resistant to the nnooxidative ***,the straw modificated with perlite fonned a more complex structure in the composites,resulting in a stronger reinforcing effect,which was confirmed by dynamic-mechanical analysis(Payne effect).

This work reports on a high-voltage,hybrid capacitor involving two separate redox *** solutions of Mg(NO3)2and KI have been used for negative and positive electrode,*** p H ? 2 for electrode( t) with KI solution and modifying Mg(NO3)2solution to p H ? 9 for negative side play a crucial role for a stable long-term operation of capacitor at enhanced voltage.A benefit from such a construction is a pseudocapacitive contribution from hydrogen sorption reaction on the negative electrode and high iodine/iodide activity on the positive electrode,enhancing the energy with no remarkable impact on the power *** solution allows a high voltage(1.8 V) to be reached and thereby high power and energy performance( 20 W h/kg at 1 k W/kg) to be *** long-term stability has been confirmed by floating and galvanostatic tests.

A view is often more than just a piece of landscape,framed by the gaze and evoking *** diminishing these obvious‘tourismimportant’advantages of a view,it is noteworthy that in itself it might play the role of an interpretative tool,especially for large-scale phenomena,the knowledge and understanding of which is the goal of *** this paper,we analyze the importance of scenic drives and trails for tourism,particularly geotourism,focusing on their ability to create conditions for experiencing the dynamically changing landscapes in which lies knowledge of the natural processes shaping the Earth’s surface and the methods and degree of its resource *** issues are found in both wider and local contexts.A more detailed insight has been conducted on the basis of two,although in some sense peripheral,tourism regions from the Sudeten Mountains(southwestern Poland):Lasocki Grzbiet(a ridge)and Pasmo Lesistej(a small range).The subjects of the investigation were complex:the geotourism potential of selected viewpoints located on the most scenic routes(mostly paths and forest tracks)as well as the problems of maintenance,conservation,and protection of their educational *** work is based on desk and field research supported by results of GIS visibility analyses(conducted in the QGIS program).

Voids, which have not been liquidated and associated with shallow mining excavations, pose a serious threat of potential formation of sinkholes. This threat is connected with the loss of stability of voids that had been formed as a result of mining operations in the deeper strata. Taking into account the impact of lower coal seams mining on shallow excavations and based on the example of a region that had been intensely exploited, this paper proposes a methodology for analysing the stability of shallow mine voids in the rock mass. Deformations in the excavation region were calculated by using FLAC2 D computer program and assigning the Coulomb–Mohr model to the rock mass. Based on the numerical analysis, this paper evaluated the stability of the void in the event of a roof support fall. The results indicate the likelihood of void formation. Based on the Budryk–Knothe theory, the deformations of rock mass and sandstone strata in the roof of the void, which had been caused by mining exploitation in consecutive years,were calculated. The results of numerical calculations and analyses were compared with the limit deformations values of sandstone in tension. It is concluded that the exploitations cause the void to break down. The proposed method can forecast the discontinuous deformations threats in the areas that have undergone shallow undermining exploitation and the areas of underground urban.

Background:Enhanced depth-of-focus intraocular lenses(EDOF IOL)have filled the gap between monofocal and multifocal intraocular implants with optical qualities of monofocal lenses and usually minor dysphotopsias typical for multifocal *** purpose of this study was to evaluate visual outcomes after bilateral implantation of a new EDOF IOL in patients with requirements for perfect near and intermediate ***:The study included 15 patients(29 eyes as one was amblyopic)with bilateral implantation of LUXSMART EDOF IOL(Bausch&Lomb)with a targeted myopia(between-0.25 and-0.50D)in both *** corrected and uncorrected visual acuity for far,intermediate and near as well as refractive outcomes were evaluated at 1,3,6 and 12 months after the ***,binocular visual acuity,contrast sensitivity and defocus curve were measured at the final follow-up *** 12 months’visit patients completed a questionnaire evaluating patient satisfaction,spectacle independence and presence of ***:Binocular uncorrected visual acuities at 12 month’s visit were 0.13±0.16,0.06±0.08,0.07±0.09 and 0.15±0.09 logMAR for far distance,80 cm,66 cm and 40 cm *** binocular visual acuities at 12 months were 0.00±0.00,0.05±0.07,0.05±0.06,0.13±0.16 respectively for distance,80 cm,66 cm and 40 *** refraction spherical equivalent at 12 months’visit stood at-0.70±0.48D,which was 0.46D less than calculated biometric target,however spherical equivalent of subjective refraction at 12 months equaled–0.49±0.46D,which was closer to preoperative biometric *** curve had gentle shape without peaks typical for monofocal *** contrast sensitivity results were superior to average results for that age group and equaled 1.78±0.16 logMAR without correction and 1.81±0.13 logMAR with *** independence for near and intermediate distances was achieved in all patients and for far distance in 73.3%of ***
