＂The Chinese Dream＂ and its ideational precursors in official discourse touch upon issues of social policymaking. More specifically, official China has stated the goal of achieving a ＂moderate＂ or ＂appropriate＂ universal welfare state in order to mitigate increasing inequality and the individualization of social risk. Consequently, the new millennium witnessed a wave of social reforms in China's Mainland, the most significant of which were arguably within the policy fields of health insurance, pensions and unemployment protection. This paper reviews reform efforts within these three policy fields and discusses progress and looming challenges with the concept of universalism as the yardstick. From the perspective of universalism, the social right dimensions of coverage （the share of the population included）, generosity （benefit levels or adequacy of welfare proved for those included） and financing （such as state, contributions or private） are quintessential. Coverage of social protection has increased significantly with new schemes in all three policy fields. The hukou divide in coverage of social insurance is not as pronounced as before, especially in health insurance. However, major challenges still persist. Declining benefit generosity or adequacy has been a tendency in both pensions and unemployment protection. The pension system also faces problems of financial fragmentation and unsustainability. The health insurance system is still inadequate in terms of protection against health risks, particularly serious or chronic illnesses. These issues are more pronounced in schemes catering to rural residents or urban residents outside the labor market. This reflects that schemes for urban workers are still much more generous. In this regard, recent tentative efforts to integrate the divided welfare system should be noted.

Facial expression recognition is a hot topic in computer vision, but it remains challenging due to the feature inconsistency caused by person-specific 'characteristics of facial expressions. To address such a challenge, and inspired by the recent success of deep identity network (DeepID-Net) for face identification, this paper proposes a novel deep learning based framework for recognising human expressions with facial images. Compared to the existing deep learning methods, our proposed framework, which is based on multi-scale global images and local facial patches, can significantly achieve a better performance on facial expression recognition. Finally, we verify the effectiveness of our proposed framework through experiments on the public benchmarking datasets JAFFE and extended Cohn-Kanade (CK+).

This paper investigated the physicochemical properties of allanite, a RE-silicate, by measuring zeta potential in the absence and presence of three different flotation collectors （benzohydroxamic acid, sodium oleate and dodecylamine）. This data was then verified by microflotation experiments and with bubble-particle attachment pictures. The investigated properties of allanite were com- pared to those of quartz, a common gangue mineral in many RE deposits. The results of this work indicated that only dodecylamine was able to achieve a selective separation of allanite and quartz. This was accomplished by lowering the dodecylamine dosage so that only quartz was recovered by microflotation.

Large shareholders are a potentially very important element of firms' corporate governance system. Whereas analytical research is typically vague on who these large shareholders are, in practice there are important variations in the types of large owners(and the different types of large owners could play very different governance roles). After briefly reviewing the standard agency cost arguments, in this article I emphasize the heterogeneity of concentrated ownership and in particular focus on the roles of families, institutions, governments, and employee ownership. I also discuss the role of large shareholders in private(i.e., unlisted) firms, where ownership tends to be more concentrated than in publicly traded firms. Finally, I briefly discuss variations in ownership structures across selected countries.

Klinefelter syndrome （KS）（47, XXY） is the most abundant sex-chromosome disorder, and is a common cause of infertility and hypogonadism in men. Most men with KS go through life without knowing the diagnosis, as only 25% are diagnosed and only a few of these before puberty. Apart from hypogonadism and azoospermia, most men with KS suffer from some degree of learning disability and may have various kinds of psychiatric problems. The effects of long-term hypogonadism may be difficult to discern from the gene dose effect of the extra X-chromosome. Whatever the cause, alterations in body composition, with more fat and less muscle mass and diminished bone mineral mass, as well as increased risk of metabolic consequences, such as type 2 diabetes and the metabolic syndrome are all common in KS. These findings should be a concern as they are not simply laboratory findings; epidemiological studies in KS populations show an increased risk of beth hospitalization and death from various diseases. Testosterone treatment should be offered to KS patients from early puberty, to secure a proper masculine development, nonetheless the evidence is weak or nonexisting, since no randomized controlled trials have ever been published. Here, we will review the current knowledge of hypogonadism in KS and the rationale for testosterone treatment and try to give our best recommendations for surveillance of this rather common, but often ignored, syndrome.

Goethite(a-FeOOH)is one of the most abundant minerals on the Earth surface,occurring in temperate,tropical and equatorial *** in goethite can be substituted by many cations such as Al,Ni for instance.A large amount of research has been conducted on the effect of varying elemental compositions(mainly Al-content)on the spectral features of goethites with most of the studies based on materials synthesized with different elemental *** different elemental ratios,however,may not only affect the composition of the products but also their crystallinity and/or particle size and *** parameters are known to affect results of both X-ray diffraction(XRD)and infrared spectroscopy(IR).These methods are predominantely used to characterize *** the present study,therefore,a significant set of natural goethites was considered in order to investigate the effect of elemental composition on XRD and IR *** focus was on crystallised samples which had a limited chemical variability but artefacts caused by the presence of admixtures could be excluded in most *** of all Rietveld refinement was optimized based on varying different parameters.A fairly good correlation of Rietveld derived crystallite sizes and specific surface area determined by N-adsorption(SSA)was found which proves the importance of considering the crystallite size parameters for Rietveld refinement and at the same times proves the quality of *** IR spectroscopy yet published relations of band position and Al-content could be confirmed despite the fact that the range of Al-contents was ***,the band position of the Fe–O stretching,previously used as proxy for crystallinity assessment,was found to be least variable hence contradicting yet published *** results were also published for the effect of the Al-content on the position of the asymmetric FeOH stretching band at 450 *** goethites investigated in the present study indicate that the crystall

Present work focuses on analysis of the stress and strain fields inside and around the individual {10–12} twin in magnesium alloy. The 3D crystal plasticity model represents twin as an ellipsoidal inclusion surrounded by the matrix. Five different twin thicknesses and three different lateral twin lengths are used for stress/strain analysis. The simulations are complemented with experimental observations using high-resolution electron backscattered diffraction. The simulations and experiments show a similar distribution of the shear stress and the spatial activity of individual slip systems(basal, prismatic, pyramidal). Plasticity induced inside the twin is dominantly caused by the prismatic dislocations slip and does not influence twin back stress which is identical to pure elastic twin. The twin with larger lateral dimension requires lower equilibrium stress which suggests anisotropic twin propagation and increased thickness of such twins. The lateral twin propagation is mostly influenced by prismatic and pyramidal slip in the twin vicinity. The twin thickness can reach a maximal level that is driven by the critical resolved shear stress values for dislocation slip with the significant influence of basal slip.
