Wound healing activity of Delonix elata stem bark extract and its isolated constituent quercetin-3-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-6) glucopyranoside in rats

Delonix elata *** a Ceasalpinaceae species and is traditionally used in India for treatment of skin diseases,liver diseases and rheumatic ***,systematic evaluation of its wound healing activity is ***,in the present study,we aimed to assess the wound healing activity of *** stem bark extract(DSE) and its isolated constituent quercetin-3-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-6) glucopyranoside(QRPg) in *** formulations effects on wound healing were assessed by the wound contraction rate,epithelialization period,tensile strength,content of the hydroxyproline,hexosamine and uronic acid in granulation tissue,histopathological studies and Col 1 α(I) expression level in wound tissue by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) *** topical application of DSE ointment caused faster epithelialization,significant wound contraction(100%),and better tensile strength(710.5 ± 10.5 g/cm^2),while QRPg showed wound epithelialization with 98.2%contraction,better than that of the control group(78.18%).The biochemical analysis of granulation tissue revealed that DSE and QRPg significantly increased hydroxyproline,hexosamine and uronic acid content.A significant increase in the expression of Col 1 α(I) was observed in the wound tissue of DSE and QRPg treated *** and QRPg were shown to enhance wound healing by increasing collagen synthesis through upregulation of Col 1 α(I),thus validating ethnomedicinal uses.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal （AM） fungi associated with Prosopis cineraria （Khejri） were assessed for their qualitative and quantitative distribution from eight districts of Rajasthan. A total of three species of Acaulospora, one species of Entrophospora, two species of gigaspora, twenty-one species of glomus, seven species of Sclerocystis and three species of Scutellospora were recorded. A high diversity of AM fungi was observed and it varied at different study sites. Among these six genera, glomus occurred most frequently. glomus fasciculatum, glomus aggregatum, and glomus mosseae were found to be the most predominant AM fungi in infecting Prosopis cineraria. Acaulospora, g. fasciculatum, Sclerocystis was found in all the fields studied, while Scutellospora species were found only in few sites. A maximum of thirty-six AM fungal species were isolated and identified from Jodhpur, whereas only thirteen species were found from Jaisalmer. Spores of glomusfasciculatum were found to be most abundant under Prosopis cineraria.

Rare earth Sm＋ ion doped potassium hydrogen phthalate （KHP） single crystal was grown by slow evaporation technique. Single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction analyses confirm the crystalline perfection of Sm＋ ion doped KHP crystal. The functional groups of pure and Sm＋ ion doped KHP crystals were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） spectral studies. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses were carried out to study the thermal behavior of the grown crystals. UV-Vis studies explored the optical transmittance of the grown crystals in the entire visible region. The mechanical strength and etching studies were performed to assess the perfection of the pure and Sm＋ ion doped KHP crystals. The refractive index and birefringence properties of the grown crystal were analyzed. The second harmonic generation efficiency of Sm＋ ion doped KHP crystals was observed by Kurtz-Perry powder test.

Alumina coating was formed on AA7075 aluminum alloy by micro arc oxidation（MAO） method and its corrosion and stress corrosion cracking（SCC） behaviors were examined in 3.5%（mass fraction） NaCl *** impedance spectroscopy（EIS） was used to evaluate the degradation of the coating as a function of immersion time and was modeled with appropriate equivalent *** load stress corrosion cracking（SCC） results followed by post-test metallographic observations demonstrated the usefulness of MAO coating to avoid the premature failure of the alloy due to severe localized corrosion initiated by Cu-and Fe-rich intermetallic phases.
