Objective to discuss the causes of the postoperative complications of total pneumonectomy of pulmonary tuberculosis and its *** 45 cases of total pneumonectomy of pulmonary tuberculosis have been reviewed and *** after operation,3 cases were acute respiratory failure, 3 diffuse bleeding in pleural cavity,2 bronchopleural fistula and 1 focal contralateral dissemination with a complication rate of 20%(9/45),and a mortality of 9%(4/45).Conclusions total pneumonectomy is still one of the effective way to treat parts of pulmonary tuberculosis,but the operation indication and operation opportunity should be seized;the results show that unsatisfactory chemotherapy and operating error and inappropriate management of pulmonary tuberculosis after operation are still the main causes for complications.

Objective to discuss the role of the Minimally Invasive Surgery(MIS) for the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary *** the technique of Minimally Invasive Surgery(MIS) we defined on diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis include Video Assistanted Thoracic Surgery(VATS) and small incision and the technique which can be insteaded of typical pulmonary lobectomy such as Focus clearance for cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis or pulmonary tuberculoma and Treatment for pneumonomycosis hemoptysis using intercostal muscle flap obturation and treatment for profuse tuberculous pleural effusion using VTS(video thoracic surgery) technique and so on,,40 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis patients who have been diagnosed and treated through Video Assistented Thoracic Surgery(VATS) and small incision under local and general anesthesia by our hospital during 2003-2007 are *** 40 cases were diagnosised and treatmented using the different technique of minimally invasive surgery including VATS or VATS assistaned small incision to perform lung biopsy,pleura biopsy and pleuropexy,Focus clearance for cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis or pulmonary tuberculoma and Treatment for pneumonomycosis hemoptysis using intercostal muscle flap obturation were usually performed with small *** this group,the final diagnosis rates and the cure rates is 100%,and there is no operation *** the 5 cases of preoperational positive tubercle bacillus in sputum turned negative after operation and 4 years follow-up showed no recurrence and diffusion;intrathoracic drain was taken out 24-28 hours after *** these technique of Minimally Invasive Surgery(MIS) improves the diagnosis and cure rate of partial pulmonary tuberculosis,and renovates the operation pattern of pulmonary tuberculosis patients who has cavity and tuberculoma,and it is especially applicable to the patients who has poor cardio-pulmonary functions,but the development of operation p
