The BLU (back light unit) is the core component of the LCD for notebook, mobile-phone, navigation, as well as large sized TV, PID (public information display), etc. In order to enhance optical efficiency of LCD, optical films with the uniform prism patterns have been used for BLU by stacking two films up orthogonally. In this case, light interference-phenomenon occurred such as Morie, wet-out, u-turning, etc. It caused several problems such as low brightness, spots and stripes in LCD. Recently, the high-luminance micro complex prism patterns are actively studied to avoid the light interference-phenomenon and enhance the optical efficiency. In this study, the roll master to manufacture complex micro prism pattern film was machined by using the high precision lathe. The machined patterns on the roll master were 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 μm in the pitch with 25.0, 22.5, 20.0, 17.5, 15.0, 12.5, 10.0, 7.5, 5.0 and 2.5 μm in the peak height, respectively. The roll was 2 000 mm in length and 320 mm in diameter. The electroplated roll by copper and the natural single crystal diamond tool was used for machining the patterns. The cutting force was measured and analyzed for each cutting condition by using the dynamometer. The chips and the surfaces after being machined were analyzed by SEM and microscope.

The fluorine doping along with heavy metal oxides was remarkably raised the lifetime and the quantum efficiency of 3H4 in silicate glasses. The fluorine doping changed the local structure around Tm3+ ions, then low energy vibrations related to fluorine are considered to largely reduce the multi-phonon relaxation rates in the oxyfluoride silicate glasses.

Aim: To identify the sexual, emotional and psychological status of men who augmented their penis with mineral oil injection for their small penis. Methods: Men who had penile paraffin were asked to answer the semi-structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed to assess the motivation, method of penile injection, changes in erectile function and satisfaction after penile injection. SCL (Symptom checklist)-90-R, STAI (State and Trait Anxiety Inventory) and Zung SDS (Self-rating depression scale) were also included in the questionnaire for psychological evaluation. Results: A total of 357 men completed the questionnaire. The first-ranked motivation of the injection was recommendation by their acquaintances (48.9 %). The majority of the respondents had the procedure by non-medical person (78.0 %). Before injection, 17.2 % had a sense of inferiority in their penis and 32 % worried about their weak erectile function. After injection, 33.0 % have found relief from their sense of inferiority and 17.8 % wish to feel improvement in their erectile function. Most of the respondents (91 %) were not satisfied with their penis and 74 % of them replied that they want to remove the injected material. only 15.6 % did not experience side effects. Most of the subjects have suffered from various side effects such as inflammation, skin necrosis, pain, etc. No evidence of psychiatric pathology was found in psychological evaluation. Conclusion: The motivations of mineral oil injection were recommendation by their acquaintances or desire to be more mannish. Most of them had suffered from various side effects and only a small number of them felt improvement in their sense of inferiority, in their penis and erectile function. Increased public awareness is needed for the prevention of this physically and psychologically debilitating problem.

BACKGRoUND Transcutaneous oxygen pressure(Tcpo2)is a precise method for determining oxygen perfusion in wounded *** device uses either electrochemical or optical *** To evaluate the usefulness of Tcpo2 measurements on free flaps(FFs)in diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs).METHoDS Tcpo2 was measured in 17 patients with DFUs who underwent anterolateral thigh(ALT)-FF surgery and compared with 30 patients with DFU without FF *** Significant differences were observed in the ankle-brachial index;duration of diabetes;and haemoglobin,creatinine,and C-reactive protein levels between the two ***2 values were similar between two groups except on postoperative days 30 and 60 when the values in the ALT-FF group remainedot increase>50 *** Even if the flap is clinically stable,sympathectomy due to adventitia stripping during anastomosis and arteriovenous shunt progression due to diabetic polyneuropathy could lead to low Tcpo2 values in the ALT-FF owing to its thick fat tissues,which is supported by the slow recovery of the sympathetic tone following ***,Tcpo2 measurements in patients with DFU who underwent FF reconstruction may be less accurate than in those who did not.

To obtain improved accuracy in predicting extracapsular extension （ECE） and seminal vesicle invasion （SVI）, we evaluated the variables affecting the predictability of staging magnetic resonance imaging （MRI, phased-array coil） and estimated their impact on accuracy between preoperative MRI staging and histological outcome. A total of 121 patients with localized or locally advanced prostate cancer who underwent robotic radical prostatectomy （RALP） were included. Following transrectal biopsy, all enrolled patients had undergone MRI for staging work-up. After RALP, only 43.8% （53/121） of the patients were matched with the MRI predicted stage. Compared to the matched group in the prediction of ECE, the unmatched group had significantly higher initial prostate-specific antigen （PSA, 12.8 ng m1-1 versus 8.1 ng m1-1, P=0.048）. In the prediction of SVI, initial PSA （8.1 ng ml- 1 versus 17.3 ng ml- 1, P=0.009） and biopsy Gleason score （6.5 versus 7.6, P=0.035） were significantly higher in the unmatched group. When applying clinical cutoffs of initial PSA of 10 and 20 ng ml-1, the accuracy of MRI in the prediction of ECE was decreased in the group with PSA over 20 ng ml- 1 （75.6, 64.5 and 37.5%, P=0.01）, and this group had significantly decreased accuracy of MRI in the prediction of SVI （91.5, 77.4 and 37.5%, P〈0.01）. Applying the clinical cutoff of a Gleason score of 7, the accuracy of MRI in the prediction of SVI was decreased in the higher G leason score group （93.9, 82.1 and 62.9%, P= 0.01）. Thus, for these patient groups, to obtain margin negativity during radical prostatectomy, operative findings, rather than post-biopsy MRI images, may provide substantial information, implying a clinical advantage in conducting MRI before prostate biopsy.
