The Permian Basin is one of the most prolific,and currently one of the most active,oil and gas basins in the *** Lower Permian strata in the Permian Basin have produced more than 14 billion barrels of oil(BBO),making it the largest volume of hydrocarbon in the *** in the Midland Basin during late Leonardian through early Guadalupian(ca.272-269 Ma)resulted in progradation of shelf edge and ultimately closure of the basin by Middle Permian *** analyzed a merged seismic survey covering parts of the Permian Basin(i.e.,Central Basin Platform and Midland Basin)in Andrews,Ector,and Midland Counties,*** seismic survey and well logs show the presence of gently dipping(ca.1°)clinoforms in the Upper San Andres and Grayburg Formations on the eastern edge of the Central Basin Platform and western Midland *** seismic attributes,curvature,and spectral decomposition identify low sinuosity slope channels oriented north-south,but such channels do not appear beyond the *** shelf edge shifts from north to south during deposition of the Upper San Andres and Grayburg *** identify five basinward shifts noted by the migration of the shelf edge toward the basin center and the presence of channel features along the depositional *** petrophysical analysis indicates that channels cut into carbonate rocks and are filled by siliciclastic sediments;this interpretation is supported by the most negative curvature anomalies along the channel axes caused by the differential compaction between the carbonate and siliciclastic *** are a few channels with a northwest-southeast strike,which matches the direction of the Concho Lineament observed by satellite *** observations are consistent with previous interpretations of the northern Midland Basin closure during Middle-Late Permian time.

With climate change,the spotted-wing Drosophila(SWD,Drosophila suzukii)invades a great number of fruit production regions worldwide.A plethora of insecticides are being applied for management of this *** expected,SWD develops resistance against some potent insecticides or is rather insensitive to some ***,there is an urgent need to identify and characterize alternative insecticides to control SWD ***,we have studied the effects of the orally applied inhibitor of the fatty acid synthesis pathway spirotetramat on SWD fitness with respect to fecundity and surface barrier function at different *** our experiments,we applied spirotetramat mixed with baker's yeast and showed that females and males were not repelled by effective concentrations of this *** found that spirotetramat,by trend,lowers egg numbers laid by fed *** eggs rapidly desiccate,and only a few larvae *** is lethal to larvae and reduces survival of adult flies under low-humidity *** together,based on our data,we propose to use yeast supplemented with spirotetramat and additional SWD-specific attractants in traps in non-crop areas in order to eradicate SWD populations before they infest crop production sites.

BACKGROUnD Ischemic stroke is a rare event associated with an elevated risk of blood clot formation owing to an underlying ***,we present a case of ovarian carcinoma that led to cerebral *** SUMMARY A 43-year-old woman experienced sudden onset right-sided paralysis and difficulty speaking two days after discovery of a large ovarian tumor measuring approximately 14 cm,which was suspected to be *** examination revealed left middle cerebral artery *** patient had a history of hypertension and *** stabilization with heparin treatment and vital signs management,the patient underwent debulking surgery,including total hysterectomy,bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy,omentectomy,and bilateral pelvic and para-aortic lymph node *** final diagnosis was clear cell carcinoma of the right ovary(stage IA).Subsequently,the patient completed six rounds of adjuvant chemotherapy while simultaneously undergoing ***,the patient is able to walk independently,although she still experiences *** Prompt medical intervention and interdisciplinary care are crucial in the setting of incidental findings such as a large ovarian tumor.

BACKGROUnD Few studies have reported an association between an increased risk of acquiring cancers and survival in patients with 4q deletion *** study presents a rare association between chromosome 4q abnormalities and fallopian tube highgrade serous carcinoma(HGSC)in a young *** SUMMARY A 35-year-old woman presented with acute dull abdominal pain and a known chromosomal abnormality involving 4q13.3 duplication and 4q23q24 *** arrival at the emergency room,her abdomen appeared ovoid and distended with palpable shifting *** were identified through abdominal ultrasound,and computed tomography revealed an omentum cake and an enlarged bilateral *** tests showed elevated CA-125 *** was conducted,and immunohistochemistry indicated that the cancer cells favored an ovarian origin,making us suspect ovarian *** patient underwent debulking surgery,which led to a diagnosis of stage IIIC HGSC of the fallopian ***,the patient received adjuvant chemotherapy with carboplatin and paclitaxel,resulting in stable current *** This study demonstrates a rare correlation between a chromosome 4q abnormality and ***2D3 may affect crucial cancer-related pathways,including P53,BRCA,cyclin D,and tyrosine kinase receptors,thereby possibly contributing to cancer *** addition,ADH1 and DDIT4 may be potential influencers of both carcinogenic and therapeutic responses.

The energy sector faces rapid decarbonisation and decision-makers demand reliable assessments of the security of electricity supply. For this, detailed simulation models with a high temporal and technological resolution are required. When confronted with increasing weather-dependent renewable energy generation, probabilistic simulation models have proven. The significant computational costs of calculating a scenario, however, limit the complexity of further analysis. Advances in code optimization as well as the use of computing clusters still lead to runtimes of up to eight hours per scenario. However ongoing research highlights that tailor-made approximations are potentially the key factor in further reducing computing time. Consequently, current research aims to provide a method for the rapid prediction of widely varying scenarios. In this work artificial neural networks (Ann) are trained and compared to approximate the system behavior of the probabilistic simulation model. To do so, information needs to be sampled from the probabilistic simulation in an efficient way. Because only a limited space in the whole design space of the 16 independent variables is of interest, a classification is developed. Finally it required only around 35 min to create the regression models, including sampling the design space, simulating the training data and training the Anns. The resulting Anns are able to predict all scenarios within the validity range of the regression model with a coefficient of determination of over 0.9998 for independent test data (1.051.200 data points). They need only a few milliseconds to predict one scenario, enabling in-depth analysis in a brief period of time.
