Now one of the main cash crops in Côte d’Ivoire, the cashew tree feeds an entire industrial sector based on the processing of its fruit. This processing generates a large volume of waste, consisting of cashew nutshells, the management of which poses environmental problems. With the aim of replacing charcoal and firewood with more environmentally friendly fuels, several studies are currently being carried out into the optimal use of cashew shells in fuel briquettes. To assess the environmental sustainability of these briquettes, this study calculates the environmental impacts associated with their life cycle, compares them with those of charcoal and firewood, and identifies the processes that contribute most to environmental pollution, with a view to improving them. Analysis of the results showed that cashew nutshell briquettes emit a range of pollutants over their life cycle that damage the environment and are responsible for the 7 impact categories considered: acidification, eutrophication, freshwater aquatic ecotoxicity, global warming, human toxicity, photochemical oxidation and terrestrial ecotoxicity potential. However, they are more environmentally friendly than charcoal and firewood for 5 impact categories: freshwater aquatic ecotoxicity, global warming, human toxicity, photochemical oxidation and terrestrial ecotoxicity potential. The 3 elementary processes, i.e. transport of biomass raw materials, production, and combustion of briquettes, emit pollutants that contribute most to the creation of environmental impact categories. The most relevant pollutants are nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx) and particulate matter (PM).

Hydrogeochemical Characterization of Groundwater from Fissured Aquifers in the Angovia Mine Operating Permit Area (Central-West Côte d’Ivoire)

The main objective of this study is to determine the hydrogeochemical specificities of the groundwater of the Angovia mine operating permit, located in the Yaouré mountains in the center-west of Côte d’Ivoire. To do so, descriptive and multivariate statistical analysis methods with the SOM (Self Organizing Maps) algorithm were applied to the physicochemical parameters of 17 boreholes using the calcite (ISC) and dolomite (ISD) saturation indices. The results obtained have shown that the groundwater in the Angovia mine operating permit area has an average temperature of 27.52°C (long rainy season) and 27.87°C (long dry season) and has an average pH of 7.09 ± 0.35 during the main rainy season and 7.32 ± 0.35 during the main dry season. They are mineralized with an average electrical conductivity of 505.98 ± 302.85 μS/cm during the long rainy season and with 450.33 ± 233.74 μS/cm as average during the long dry season. The main phenomena at the origin of groundwater mineralization are water residence time, oxidation-reduction and surface inflow. The study of the relative age of the water shows that the groundwater in the Angovia mine operating permit area is mainly undersaturated with respect to calcite and dolomite. They are therefore very old in the aquifer with a slow circulation speed during the long rainy season and the long dry season.

Recent advancement on hydrogen(H2) retrieval in a mixture gas of H2/CO2based on the metal hydride(MH)technique has attracted numerous interests. In this work, we implement the lumped element model simulation to conduct a theoretical approach on the hydrogen purification process. The influence of orifice geometry and temperature of the tank, and inflow gas rate(fin) is investigated. The results show that the discharge coefficient(DC) is affected by the tank’s orifice geometry. The orifice shape is increasing the value of DC, as a result, the CO2(impurity) outflow rate heightens during the venting process and thereby promoting to obtain a high hydrogen purity. By overcoming the exothermic/endothermic effect in the absorption/desorption step and a proper finselection, we find an improvement in the hydrogen storage capacity(wt%) into MH and consequently the hydrogen recovery rate increases. A sharp improvement in orifice geometry and thermal conditions of the tank,and finenhances the main targeted results(hydrogen purity and recovery rate) and ensures the proper operation of the MH technique.

In Ivory Coast,beekeeping takes an important place among the major economic *** contributes to improv-ing the population’s livelihoods thanks to its derived products which are honey,propolis,wax and royal ***-ever,the installation of honey bee hives could put pressure on wild bee species,which often live ***,these wild bees are excellent pollinators of cultivated and wild *** study aimed to assess the effect of honey bee hives on the diversity of wild *** methodology approach consisted of capturing bees in three different plots inside the forest fragment of the botanical garden located at the University Peleforo Gon *** first plot was chosen approximately from 10 m to an apiary containing ten *** two other plots were chosen to be 200 m and 400 m from the apiary,*** were captured once a month for three months using pan traps(UV—blue,yellow and white).A total of 17 bee species belonging to three families(Apidae,Megachilidae and Halictidae)were *** furthest plot from the apiary was the most diverse(H’=2.49)and that near the apiary was the least diverse(H’=0.11).Only,two wild bee species,Hypotrigona *** Thrinchostoma petersi,persisted inside the plot nearby the apiary where honey bees were most *** furthest plots from the apiary seem to have the highest diversity of wild *** findings are very relevant because they can be used for the policies of conservation of wild bees and the management of beekeeping activities.

老挝是一个位于中南半岛北部的内陆国,国家历史悠久但不发达,主要以农业为主,经济发展和人民生活条件相对落后。基于此,作为执政党的老挝人民革命党进行社会主义革新,实施新政策,开辟发展道路,力争提高老挝人民革命党各级领导管理国家的能力,以促进老挝社会主义经济、科技和文化等方面的发展。老挝正站在有利时代发展机遇前,改革是老挝人民革命党改革使命中的一个重要里程碑。加强党的全面领导是全面改革任务的重要组成部分,行明,一个政党、一个国家,只有根基稳固,才能维持稳定。现在老挝基层党组织的重要作用,对于党的执政意义重大,是稳定的根基因素。因此,从第四次到第十一次老挝全国代表大会强调了国家和基层党在落实新变化中的重要作用,改革有利于实施保卫国家战略,实施社会经济发展战略规划,消除贫困,建设大村变小城镇。在老挝人民革命党改革的三十年中,党中央、地方、武装部门、国企或村等各级党的基层组织坚定的贯彻落实党的新政策。各基层党组织着力建设自身提高自身。在改革中发挥作用,工作取得圆满成功。本文对老挝党改革三十五年来的成就和经验进行总结和研究,目的是为了强调老挝人民革命党的全面领导和建设的重要性,以促进国家和社会政治组织的强大,使其充满活力和有质量,能够有效地执行党的政策和决议,发挥老挝党在国际舞台上的作用,履行政治职责和国际职责,反对一切希望摧毁老挝人民革命党和阻碍国家发展的企图。从而使老挝人民革命党发挥自身更大的作用。

In a context of increasing competition and sustainable development, service prices and unused capacity enhancement play a crucial role in freight or people transportation management. The focus of the paper is on a Dial-a-ride Problem in the Saharan country context, for the particular of Taxi “woro-woro”1. More precisely, these taxis help to transport groups of people without any affinity, from point A to point B without stopping. Also, we propose for this problem an exact solution based on a mix integer program (MIP). A secondary study on a random instance generation algorithm is presented, which allows us to have a diversified and varied benchmark on which to apply our MIP program.

Primary Characterization of a Novel Soymilk-Cashew Fermented with an Improving of Its Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Contents

Cashew nut (Anacardium occidental) milk was included as a functional ingredient in soybean (Glycine max L.) milk at 20/80% and was fermented comparatively to commercial yogurt starters by two strains TC6 and A4 (recently isolated from two Ivorian highly flavored neglected traditional staple foods (beer and garlic)) identified as Weissella paramesenteroides and Enterococcus faecalis, after the screening of their probiotic, antioxydant and anti-inflammatory potentialities, respectively. The primary characterization of these plant-milks showed a strong improvement in their sensory, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory abilities. While TC6 from traditional beer Tchapalo increases anti-inflammatory activity by almost eighteen times, A4 isolated from garlic increases antioxidant activity by two times. Due to their aromatic and organosensory potentialities certainly, milks L138, L180 and 130 fermented respectively by the combination of TC6 and A4, TC4 alone and A4 alone were the most appreciated than the plant-milk fermented by the two strains of commercial yogurt. These probiotics, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory plant-milks should be further characterized in terms of their biological activities and tested in animal models to confirm their nutrition-health claims.

The Lobo watershed is an agricultural area where the use of fertilizers by farmers is intensive, causing eutrophication problems that deteriorate the quality of drinking water distributed to the population. Since the phenomenon of eutrophication is directly linked to runoff, it is essential to model the flow in order to better control the transfer of nutrients responsible for eutrophication. It is within this framework that this study was conducted. The objective of this study is to assess the ability of the semi-distributed SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model to simulate runoff in the Lobo watershed. The methodology adopted was based on the use of the QSWAT graphical interface to manipulate and execute the main functions of the SWAT model from QGIS tools. The hydrological modeling was carried out with the QSWAT interface for SWAT 2012. The results showed good performance for the flow calibration (1982-1984) with the evaluation criteria R2, NSE and PBIAS respectively of 0.64, 0.64 and 3.1. In the validation period (1984-1987), the model also showed good performance in the streamflow simulation for R2 and NSE of 0.84 and 0.76 respectively as values. However, for the PBAIS criterion, the result was less good but still remains satisfactory with a value of 19.6. It emerges from this study that the SWAT model is suitable for simulating water transfer and can therefore be used to study the transfer of pollutants in the fight against eutrophication in the Lobo watershed.
