In this paper, we carry out Qoe (Quality of experience) assessment of fairness between players in a networked balloon bursting game with olfactory and haptic senses. We also make a comparison of the fairness among different types of networked games with olfactory and haptic senses in the assessment. Then, we clarify the differences owing to usage of olfactory and haptic senses among the games. As a result, we illustrate that the fairness is largely affected by the delay difference, and we also demonstrate that the allowable range depends on the type of games, type of senses which are employed in the games, and the play methods.

Chronic infection with hepatitis C virus(HCV) is a leading cause of liver-related morbidity and mortality worldwide and predisposes to liver fibrosis and endstage liver complications. Liver fibrosis is the excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix proteins, including collagen, and is considered as a wound healing response to chronic liver injury. Its staging is critical for the management and prognosis of chronic hepatitis C(CHC) patients, whose number is expected to rise over the next decades, posing a major health care challenge. This review provides a brief update on HCV epidemiology, summarizes basic mechanistic concepts of HCV-dependent liver fibrogenesis, and discusses meth-ods for assessment of liver fibrosis that are routinely used in clinical practice. Liver biopsy was until recently considered as the gold standard to diagnose and stage liver fibrosis. However, its invasiveness and drawbacks led to the development of non-invasive methods, which include serum biomarkers, transient elastography and combination algorithms. Clinical studies with CHC patients demonstrated that non-invasive methods are in most cases accurate for diagnosis and for monitoring liver disease complications. Moreover, they have a high prognostic value and are cost-effective. Non-invasive methods for assessment of liver fibrosis are gradually being incorporated into new guidelines and are becoming standard of care, which significantly reduces the need for liver biopsy.

The fluxes of masses and the nutrients Ca,Mg,K,N,P and S were determined in the litterfall of two adjacent forest ecosystems of Hungarian oak(Quercus frainetto L.)and european beech(Fagus sylvatica L.)in a mountainous area of northeastern Greece in 2010–*** foliar litterfall for both species reached about 70%of the total litterfall,and was significantly higher from the other two fractions(woody and rest litterfall).The fluxes of masses and nutrients were compared between ecosystems for each fraction *** one significant statistical difference was found,that of K in the woody *** addition,the stocks of masses and nutrients were calculated in the forest floors and mineral soils of the two ***,the stocks of nutrients in the forest floors and mineral soils were compared between *** the L horizon of the forest floors,statistical differences,as a result of species effect,were found for the stocks of Ca and *** the FH horizons,the masses and all the nutrient stocks differed significantly,as the beech plot had much higher quantities of organic matter and *** higher quantities were probably due to low soil temperatures(microclimate)and high acidity in the beech plot(species effect)that slowed down *** the mineral soils,the propagation of random error derived from random errors of the individual soil layers was an important factor in the statistical *** of the soil acidity in the beech plot,the stocks of exchangeable base cations were significantly higher in the oak plot,whereas the other nutrient stocks did not differ.

In the present study a specific approach is followed,considering the Pesticide DRASTIC and Susceptibility index(SI)methods and a GIS framework,to assess groundwater vulnerability in the agricultural area of Albenga,in north *** results indicate"high"to"very high"vulnerability to groundwater contamination along the coastline and the middle part of the Albenga plain,for almost 49%and 56%of the total study area for Pesticide DRASTIC and SI methods,*** sensitive regions depict characteristics such as shallow depth to groundwater,extensive deposits of alluvial silty clays,flat topography and intensive agricultural *** distribution of nitrates concentration in groundwater in the study area is slightly better correlated with the SI(0.728)compared to Pesticide DRASTIC(0.693),thus indicating that both methods are characterized by quite good *** analysis was also performed to acknowledge statistical uncertainty in the estimation of each parameter used,assess its impact and thus identify the most critical parameters that require further investigation in the *** to water is the parameter that exhibited the largest impact on the Pesticide DRASTIC vulnerability index followed by the impact of the vadose zone and *** the other hand,the SI method is more sensitive to the removal of the topography parameter followed by the aquifer media and the depth to water parameters.

Tranexamic acid(TXA)has revolutionized modern blood management in orthopaedic surgery,especially in total joint arthroplasty,by significantly reducing blood loss and transfusion *** is an antifibrinolytic agent and a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine,which can inhibit the activation of plasminogen and the fibrin breakdown *** administration of TXA can be intravenous(IV),topical,and *** patients where the IV administration is contraindicated,topical use is *** administration of the drug theoretically increases concentration at the operative site with reduced systemic exposure,reduces cost,and gives the surgeon the control of the *** to recent studies,topical administration of TXA is not inferior compared to IV administration,in terms of safety and ***,there are concerns regarding the possible toxicity in the cartilage tissue with the topical use of TXA mainly in hemiarthroplasty operations of the hip,unilateral knee arthroplasties,total knee arthroplasties where the patella is not resurfaced,and other intraarticular procedures,like anterior cruciate ligament *** purpose of the present review is to present all the recent updates on the use of TXA focusing on the toxicity on chondrocytes and the articular cartilage that may or may not be provoked by the topical use of TXA.
