Bismuth-based Sillen-Aurivillius compounds are being explored as efficient photocatalyst materials for the degradation of organic pollutants due to their unique layered structure that favours effective separation of electron-hole pairs. In this work, we synthesized Sillen-Aurivillius-related Bi2YO4Cl with the bandgap of 2.5 eV by a simple solid-state reaction and sensitized with rhodium nickel (RhNi) nanoparticles (NPs) to form the RhNi/Bi2YO4Cl heterostructure. Photocatalytic activities of BiOCl, Bi2YO4Cl and the RhNi/Bi2YO4Cl heterostructure were examined for the degradation of rhodamine- 6G under visible-light illumination. Results demonstrated that the photocatalytic dye degradation efficiency of RhNi/Bi2YO4Cl heterostructures is higher than those of BiOCl and Bi2YO4Cl, attributed to the synergistic molecular-scale alloying effect of bimetallic RhNi NPs. The plausible mechanism for the degradation of rhodamine-6G and the effective electron-hole pair utilization mechanism were discussed.

1,8-Dioxo-octahydroxanthenes (4a-4f) and 1,8-dioxohexahydroacridines (5a-5c) were synthesized by novel, simple and eco-friendly method with higher yields in the presence of magnetically separable nano nickel-cobalt ferrite catalyst (Ni0.5Co0.5Fe2O4). The former, 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes have been synthesized from dimedone and different aromatic aldehydes, while the latter from this mixture are along with ammonium acetate. The main advantage of this method is that the nano catalyst can be reused up to five reaction cycles without losing the catalytic activity.

This study discusses about the optimization of spray characteristics of biodiesel fuel in a spray *** factors namely,fuel injection pressure,fuel temperature and fuel blends were chosen as the influencing factor for the set *** levels were chosen in each factor and spray tip penetration,spray cone angle and Sauter mean diameter(SMD) were taken as the response *** were designed by employing design of experiments method and Taguchi full factorial array was used to conduct the tests with different levels of the chosen *** Response Signal to Noise ratio(MRSN) was calculated for the response variables and the optimum combination level of factors was obtained simultaneously using Taguchi's parametric *** experiments were conducted for the obtained optimum combination level of factors and the results were compared with the normal operating conditions and significant improvement were observed in the response variables.

A general and convenient practical approach for the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives has been achieved via one-pot four-component Hantzsch condensation of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone, ethyl acetoacetate and ammonium acetate in the presence of a catalytic amount of cerium（IV） ammonium nitrate （CAN）, in ethanol solvent at ambient temperature. Simple work-up, mild reaction conditions, inexpensive and non-toxic catalyst, and excellent product yields are the advantageous features of this method.

The goal of this study was to develop and design a composite proton exchange membrane（PEM） and membrane electrode assembly（MEA） that are suitable for the PEM based water electrolysis system. In particular,it focuses on the development of sulphonated polyether ether ketone（SPEEK） based membranes and caesium salt of silico-tungstic acid（Cs Si WA） matrix compared with one of the transition metal oxides such as titanium dioxide（TiO2）, silicon dioxide（SiO2） and zirconium dioxide（ZrO2）. The resultant membranes have been characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, ion exchange capacity（IEC）, water uptake and atomic force microscopy. Comparative studies on the performance of MEAs were also conducted utilizing impregnation-reduction and conventional brush coating methods. The PEM electrolysis performance of SPEEK-Cs Si WA-ZrO2 composite membrane was more superior than that of other membranes involved in this study. Electrochemical characterization shows that a maximum current density of 1.4 A/cm^2 was achieved at 60 °C, explained by an increased concentration of protonic sites available at the interface.

The synthesis of a new series of six-membered N,N′-diarylsubstituted methylene-bis-dihydro-2H-1,3-benzoxazines （5a-e） was achieved in excellent yields by Mannich-type condensation of N,N′-diarylsubstituted methylene-bis-o-hydroxybenzyl amines （4a- e） with formaldehyde in chloroform at reflux. These amines （4a-e） were obtained by the reduction of N, Nr-diarylsubstituted methylene-bis-o-hydroxybenzyl imines （3a-e） with NaBH4, which inturn were obtained by the condensation of methylene-bissalicylaldehyde （2） with various substituted arylamines.

Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)comprises two distinct conditions:ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease,both of which are chronic,relapsing disorders carrying significant morbidity,mortality and healthcare *** growing attention to coordinated healthcare for patients with chronic systemic diseases,this review focuses on the care of IBD patients in remission,their concerns,quality of life,follow-up,the role of primary care physicians and the IBD-specific aspects of long-term *** did an extensive PubMed search for articles pertaining to IBD patients in remission and,along with the authors’experience,formulated a comprehensive *** difficulties faced by IBD patients in remission include but are not limited to education and employment concerns,psychosocial issues,problems related to health insurance,nutrition,fertility and *** review also addresses newer treatment modalities,the debatable effects of smoking on IBD and the importance of *** in remission can be a challenge due to its multifaceted nature;however,with a coordinated approach by gastroenterologists and other involved practitioners,several of these issues can be addressed.
