Both numerical and.experimental stud.es of the stability and.electronic properties of barium–sod.um metaborate Ba_(2)Na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F(P63/m) at pressures up to 10 GPa have been carried.out. Electronic-structure calculations with HSE06 hybrid.functional showed.that Ba_(2)Na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F has an ind.rect band.gap of 6.289 eV. A numerical stud. revealed.the d.composition of Ba_(2)Na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F into the BaB_(2)O_(4),Na BO_(2), and.NaF phases above 3.4 GPa at 300 K. Subsequent high-pressure high-temperature experiments performed.using ‘d.scoverer-1500’d.A-type apparatus at pressures of 3 and.6 GPa and.temperature of 1173 K confirmed.the stability of Ba_(2)Na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F at 3 GPa and.its d.composition into BaB_(2)O_(4), NaBO_(2), and.NaF at 6 GPa, which was verified.by energy-d.spersive X-ray analysis and.Raman spectroscopy. The observed.Raman band. of the Ba_(2)Na_(3)(B_(3)O_(6))_(2)F phase were assigned.by comparing the experimental and.calculated.spectra. The experimental Raman spectra of d.composition reaction prod.cts obtained.at 6 GPa suggest the origin of a new high-pressure mod.fication of barium metaborate BaB_(2)O_(4).

Recent experiments show that the chemical composition of bod.-centered.cubic(bcc)refractory high entropy alloys(HEAs)can be tuned.to enable transformation-ind.ced.plasticity(TRIP),which significantly improves the d.ctility of these *** calls for an accurate and.efficient method.to map the structural stability as a function of composition.A key challenge for atomistic simulations is to separate the structural transformation between the bcc and.theωphases from the intrinsic local lattice d.stortions in such chemically d.sord.red.*** solve this issue,we d.velop a method.that utilizes a symmetry analysis to d.tect d.fferences in the crystal *** this method.in combination with ab initio calculations,we d.monstrate that local lattice d.stortions largely affect the phase stability of Ti–Zr–Hf–Ta and.Ti–Zr–Nb–Hf–Ta *** relaxation effects are properly taken into account,the pred.cted.compositions near the bcc–hcp energetic equilibrium are close to the experimental compositions,for which good.strength and.d.ctility d.e to the TRIP effect are observed.

Long-Lasting Stretching Ind.ces Muscle Hypertrophy:A Meta-Analysis of Animal Stud.es

Muscular hypertrophy d.pend. on metabolic exhaustion as well as mechanical load.on the *** tension seems to be the crucial factor to stimulate protein *** present meta-analysis was cond.cted.to d.termine whether stretching can generate ad.quate mechanical tension to ind.ce muscle *** used.PubMed.Web of Science,and.Scopus to search for literature examining the effects of long-term stretching on muscle mass,muscle cross-sectional area,fiber cross-sectional area,and.fiber *** there was no sufficient number of stud.es investigating long-lasting stretching in humans,we only includ.d.original animal stud.es in the current ***,we id.ntified.16 stud.es meeting the inclusion criteria(*** of at least 15 min per d.y).The 16 stud.es yield.d.39 d.ta points for muscle mass,11 d.ta points for muscle cross-sectional area,20 d.ta points for fiber cross-sectional area,and.10 d.ta points for fiber *** all d.signs and.categories,statistically significant increases were found.for muscle mass(d.8.51;95%CI 7.11-9.91),muscle cross-sectional area(d.7.91;95%CI 5.75-10.08),fiber cross-sectional area(d.5.81;95%CI 4.32-7.31),and.fiber number(d.4.62;95%CI 2.54-6.71).The find.ngs show an(almost)continuous positive effect of long-term stretching on the listed.parameters,so that it can be assumed.that stretch training with ad.quate intensity and.d.ration lead. to hypertrophy and.hyperplasia,at least in animal stud.es.A general transferability to humans-certainly with limited.effectiveness-can be hypothesized.but requires further research and.training stud.es.

The growing d.mand.for smart wearables, coupled.with the omnipresence of graphene d.e to its array of outstand.ng thermal, electrical, and.mechanical properties, have d.iven the ind.stry-led.initiatives to d.velop lightweight, smart, and.robust graphene-based.wearable technologies. The substantial research and.the increase in technology read.ness levels (TRLs) of graphene-based.technologies have led.to the ad.ption of graphene in many ind.stries. Graphene-based.wearables are one such technology that involves closer interaction of graphene by the end.user. d.spite this, und.rstand.ng the toxicological risks associated.with using graphene-based.wearables is still in the fund.mental stage. Herein, graphene-based.wearables and.ind.strial-scale fabrication techniques for the d.velopment of graphene-based.wearables are reviewed. The main goal of the review is to initially evaluate the likelihood.of user exposure to graphene from the wearable d.vice and.the potential health effects. The subsequent health risks based.on graphene's physicochemical characteristics are also d.scussed. A framework to elucid.te the risk is presented.in terms of crucial exposure routes, possible graphene interactions, recent exposure assessments, d.tection removal techniques from the human bod., and.risk management protocols. It is hoped.that this review may aid.toward. establishing a reasonable practice concerning the safe integration of graphene materials into wearables and.facilitate their commercialization.
