We propose a new method for tumor classification from gene expression data, which mainly contains three steps. Firstly, the original DNA microarray gene expression data are modeled by independent component analysis （ICA）. Secondly, the most discriminant eigenassays extracted by ICA are selected by the sequential floating forward selection technique. Finally, support vector machine is used to classify the modeling data. To show the validity of the proposed method, we applied it to classify three DNA microarray datasets involving various human normal and tumor tissue samples. The experimental results show that the method is efficient and feasible.

The development of a powerful numerical model to simulate the fracture behavior of concrete material has long been one of the dominant research areas in earthquake engineering. A reliable model should be able to adequately represent the discontinuous characteristics of cracks and simulate various failure behaviors under complicated loading conditions. In this paper, a numerical formulation, which incorporates a sophisticated rigid-plastic interface constitutive model coupling cohesion softening, contact, friction and shear dilatation into the XFEM, is proposed to describe various crack behaviors of concrete material. An effective numerical integration scheme for accurately assembling the contribution to the weak form on both sides of the discontinuity is introduced. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been assessed by simulating several well-known experimental tests. It is concluded that the numerical method can successfully capture the crack paths and accurately predict the fracture behavior of concrete structures. The influence ofmode-Ⅱ parameters on the mixed-mode fracture behavior is further investigated to better determine these parameters.

Bread wheat(Triticum aestivum)is a staple food crop *** genetic dissection of important nutrient traits is essential for the biofortification of wheat to meet the nutritional needs of the world's growing ***,45,298 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)from 55K chip arrays were used to genotype a panel of 768 wheat cultivars,and a total of 154 quantitative trait loci(QTLs)were detected for eight traits under three environments by genome-wide association study(GWAS).Three QTLs(qMn-3B.1,qFe-3B.4,and qSe-3B.1/qFe-3B.6)detected repeatedly under different environments or traits were subjected to subsequent analyses based on linkage disequilibrium decay and the P-values of significant *** SNPs in the three QTL regions formed six haplotypes for qMn-3B.1,three haplotypes for qFe-3B.4,and three haplotypes for qSe-3B.1/*** analysis revealed significant differences among *** results indicated that the concentrations of several nutrient elements have been modified during the domestication of landraces to modern *** on the QTL regions,we identified 15 high-confidence genes,eight of which were stably expressed in different tissues and/or developmental ***3B02G046100 in qMn-3B.1 and TraesCS3B02G199500 in qSe-3B.1/qFe-3B.6 were both inferred to interact with metal ions according to the Gene Ontology(GO)***3B02G199000,which belongs to qSe-3B.1/qFe-3B.6,was determined to be a member of the WRKY gene ***,this study provides several reliable QTLs that may significantly affect the concentrations of nutrient elements in wheat grain,and this information will facilitate the breeding of wheat cultivars with improved grain properties.

This paper evaluates different characteristics for earthquake early warning. The scaling relationships between magnitude, epicenter distance and calculated parameters are derived from earthquake event data fi＇om USGS. The standard STA/LTA method is modified by adding two new parameters to eliminate the effects of the spike-type noise and small pulsetype noise ahead of the onset of the P-wave. After the detection of the P-wave, the algorithm extracts 12 kinds of parameters from the first 3 seconds of the P-wave. Then stepwise regression analysis of these parameters is performed to estimate the epicentral distance and magnitude. Six different parameters are selected to estimate the epicentral distance, and the median error for all 419 estimates is 16.5 krn. Four parameters are optimally combined to estimate the magnitude, and the mean error for all events is 0.0 magnitude units, with a standard deviation of 0.5. Finally, based on the estimation results, additional work is proposed to improve the accuracy of the results.

BACKGROUND After the failure of second-line standard therapy,effective treatment options for metastatic colorectal cancer are limited,and the duration of remission cannot meet clinical *** addition,associated drug toxicity may lead to treatment interruption that may affect patient ***,more safe,effective and convenient treatments are urgently *** SUMMARY Here,we describe a patient with advanced colorectal cancer with multiple metastases in both *** combined with 5-fluorouracil or capecitabine was given as the first-line treatment,and bevacizumab combined with irinotecan was given as the second-line treatment after disease ***,treatment was interrupted due to recurrent grade 2 nausea and grade 1 *** received targeted therapy with fruquintinib starting on August 26,2020 and responded well for 12 *** slow progression of the lung metastases,progression-free survival was again achieved over 13.5 mo by continued treatment of fruquintinib in combination with tegafur-gimeracil-oteracil potassium *** treatment duration was more than 25.5 *** treatments delayed tumor progression,reduced drug side effects,maintained a good quality of life,and further extended overall *** This case report detailed preliminary evidence showing that the combination of fruquintinib with tegafur-gimeracil-oteracil potassium chemotherapy double oral therapy may result in longer progression-free survival in patients with advanced colorectal cancer.

Petrological analysis and LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating were conducted on high- pressure marie granulites, which occured as xenolith within TTG gneisses, from the Nanshankou Village of the Jiaobei terrane, Shandong Peninsula in the north-eastern part of the North China Craton （NCC）. The mafic HP grannlite is composed of garnet, clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene, amphibole and symplectitic clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene, plagioclase, ilmente and magnetite which were formed after the decomposition of porphyroblastic garnet and clinopyroxene. Four stages of metamorphic mineral assemblages for the mafic HP granulites were constrained by detail petrological and mineralogical in- vestigations. The early prograde assemblage is represented by the mineral inclusions within garnet and clinopyroxene porphyroblasts （Opx1＋Pl1＋Qtz1）, recording the metamorphic conditions at -754-757 ℃, 0.63-0.71 GPa; peak metamorphic conditions were determined at -874-891 ℃, 1.32-1.35 GPa with the mineral assemblage of Grt2＋Cpx2＋Amp2＋Pl2＋Qtz2. Retrograde minerals derived from symplectitic assemblage Opx3＋Cpx3＋Amp3＋Pl3＋Qtz3＋Ilm3±Mag3 were formed at 693-796℃, 0.60-0.84 GPa. A final greensehist to sub-greenschist facies event was recorded by the exsolution of actinolite and albite within a retrograded clinopyroxene, as well as the occurrence of prehnite, chlorite and calcite minerals. Accordingly, a clockwise P-T path was concluded on the basis of the different stages of mineral asseblage. Cathodoluminescence imaging, trace element and U-Pb dating of zircons from the mafic HP granulites recorded similar charactistics for three episodes of Paleo-Meso Proterozoic metamorphic events. These are the metamorphic events preserved in mafic and pelitic granulites in the Jiao-Liao-Ji belt （JLJB） with 207 pb/206pb ages of 2.0-1.9 Ga for peak metamorphism and of 1.86-1.84 Ga for decomposing process, followed by a retrograde amphibolite facies metamorphic event related to the post-orogenic extension at the age of 1.76-1.

Response of Bi-disperse Polyelectrolyte Brushes to External Electric Fields A Numerical Self-consistent Field Theory Study

The self-consistent field theory has been employed to numerically study the response of bi-disperse flexible polyelectrolyte （PE） brushes grafted on an electrode to electric fields generated by opposite surface charges on the PE-grafted electrode and a second parallel electrode. The numerical study reveals that, under a positive external electric field, the shorter and negatively charged PE chains are more responsive than the longer PE chains in terms of the relative changes in their respective brush heights. Whereas under a negative external electric field, the opposite was observed. The total electric force on the grafted PE chains was calculated and it was found that, under a positive external electric field, the magnitude of the total electric force acting on one shorter PE chain is larger than that on one longer PE chain, or vice versa. The underlying mechanism was unraveled through analyzing the total electric field across the two oppositely charged electrodes.

Background: The therapeutic evidence collected from well-designed studies is needed to help manage the global pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19). Evaluating the quality of therapeutic data collected during this most recent pandemic is important for improving future clinical research under similar ***: To assess the methodological quality and variability in implementation of randomized controlled trials(RCTs) for treating COVID-19, and to analyze the support that should be provided to improve data collected during an urgent pandemic *** strategy: Pub Med, Excerpta Medica Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang,and Chongqing VIP, and the preprint repositories including Social Science Research Network and Med Rxiv were systematically searched, up to September 30, 2020, using the keywords "coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)," "2019 novel coronavirus(2019-n Co V)," "severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus-2(SARS-Co V-2)," "novel coronavirus pneumonia(NCP)," "randomized controlled trial(RCT)" and "random."Inclusion criteria: RCTs studying the treatment of COVID-19 were eligible for *** extraction and analysis: Screening of published RCTs for inclusion and data extraction were each conducted by two researchers. Analysis of general information on COVID-19 RCTs was done using descriptive statistics. Methodological quality was assessed using the risk-of-bias tools in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions(Version 5.1.0). Variability in implementation was assessed by comparing consistency between RCT reports and registration ***: A total of 5886 COVID-19 RCTs were identified.
