To address the low conductivity and easy agglomeration of transition metal sulfide nanoparticles,FeCoS_(4) nanoparticles embedded in S-doped hollow carbon(FeCoS_(4)@S-HC)composites were successfully fabricated through a combination of hydrothermal processes and sulfidation *** unique bowlshaped FeCoS_(4)/S-HC composites exhibit excellent structural stability with a high specific surface area of 303.7 m^(2)·g^(-1) and a pore volume of 0.93 cm^(3)·g^(-1).When applied as anode material for lithium-ion batteries,the FeCoS_(4)@S-HC anode exhibits efficient lithium storage with high reversible specific capacity(970.2 mA·h·g^(-1) at 100 mA·g^(-1))and enhanced cycling stability(574 mA·h·g^(-1) at 0.2 A·g^(-1) after 350 cycles,a capacity retention of 84%).The excellent lithium storage is attributed to the fact that the bimetallic FeCoS_(4) nanoparticles with abundant active sites can accelerate the electrochemical reaction kinetics,and the bowl-shaped S-HC structure can provide a stable mechanical structure to suppress volume expansion.

Achieving High Strength and Tensile Ductility in Pure Nickel by Cryorolling with Subsequent Low-Temperature Short-Time Annealing

Ultra fine-grained pure metals and their alloys have high strength and low *** this study,cryorolling under different strains followed by low-temperature short-time annealing was used to fabricate pure nickel sheets combining high strength with good *** results show that,for different cryorolling strains,the uniform elongation was greatly increased without sacrificing the strength after annealing.A yield strength of 607 MPa and a uniform elongation of 11.7%were obtained after annealing at a small cryorolling strain(ε=0.22),while annealing at a large cryorolling strain(ε=1.6)resulted in a yield strength of 990 MPa and a uniform elongation of 6.4%.X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)were used to characterize the microstructure of the specimens and showed that the high strength could be attributed to strain hardening during cryorolling,with an additional contribution from grain refinement and the formation of dislocation *** high ductility could be attributed to annealing twins and micro-shear bands during stretching,which improved the strain hardening *** results show that the synergistic effect of strength and ductility can be regulated through low-temperature short-time annealing with different cryorolling strains,which provides a new reference for the design of future thermo-mechanical processes.

Surrounding rocks at different locations are generally subjected to different stress paths during the process of deep hard rock *** this study,to reveal the mechanical parameters of deep surrounding rock under different stress paths,a new cyclic loading and unloading test method for controlled true triaxial loading and unloading and principal stress direction interchange was proposed,and the evolution of mechanical parameters of Shuangjiangkou granite under different stress paths was studied,including the deformation modulus,elastic deformation increment ratios,fracture degree,cohesion and internal friction ***,stress path coefficient was defined to characterize different stress paths,and the functional relationships among the stress path coefficient,rock fracture degree difference coefficient,cohesion and internal friction angle were *** results show that during the true triaxial cyclic loading and unloading process,the deformation modulus and cohesion gradually decrease,while the internal friction angle gradually increases with increasing equivalent crack *** stress path coefficient is exponentially related to the rock fracture degree difference *** the stress path coefficient increases,the degrees of cohesion weakening and internal friction angle strengthening decrease *** cyclic loading and unloading under true triaxial principal stress direction interchange,the direction of crack development changes,and the deformation modulus increases,while the cohesion and internal friction angle decrease slightly,indicating that the principal stress direction interchange has a strengthening effect on the surrounding ***,the influences of the principal stress interchange direction on the stabilities of deep engineering excavation projects are discussed.

Recently,the preparation of ultra-high temperature HfC ceramic coating has gained significant attention,particularly through the application of the HfCl_(4)-CH_(4)-H_(2)-Ar system via Chemical Vapor Deposition(CVD),which has been found widely applied to C/C ***,an analysis of the reactions that occur in the initial stage of the CVD-HfC coating process is presented using Density functional Theory(DFT)and Transition State Theory(TST)at the B3LYP/Lanl2DZ *** results reveal that HfCl4 can only cleave to produce hypochlorite,which will further react with methyl to synthesize intermediates to form *** to the analysis of the energy barrier and reaction constant,HfCl preferentially reacts with methyl groups to form complex adsorptive intermediates at 1573 *** a C—Hf bond production energy of 212.8 kcal/mol(1 kcal=4.18 kJ),the reaction rate constant of HfCl+CH is calculated to be 2.15×10^(-18) cm^(3)/s at 1573 ***,both the simulation and experimental results exhibit that the upward trend of reaction rate constants with temperature is also consistent with the deposition rate,indicating that the growth curve of the reaction rate constants tends to flatten *** proposed reaction model of the precursor’s decomposition and reconstruction during deposition process has significant implication for the process guidance.

Green synthesis of ZSM-5 using silica fume and catalytic co-cracking of lignin and plastics for production of monocyclic aromatics

ZSM-5 with hierarchical pore structure was synthesized by a simple two-step hydrothermal crystallization from silica fume without using any organic ammonium *** synthesized ZSM-5 were oval shaped particles with a particle size about 2.0 μm and weak acid-dominated with proper Brønsted(B)and Lewis(L)acid *** ZSM-5 was used for catalytic co-cracking of n-octane and guaiacol,lowdensity polyethylene(LDPE)and alkali lignin(AL)to enhance the production of benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylene(BTEX).The most significant synergistic effect occurred at n-octane/guaiacol at 1:1 and LDPE/AL at 1:3,under the condition,the achieved BTEX selectivity were 24%and 33%(mass)higher than the calculated values(weighted average).The highest BTEX selectivity reached 88.5%,which was 3.7%and 54.2%higher than those from individual cracking LDPE and *** synthesized ZSM-5 exhibited superior catalytic performance compared to the commercial ZSM-5,indicating potential application prospect.

BACKGROUND Oncostatin M(OSM)is a pleiotropic cytokine which is implicated in the path-ogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).AIM To evaluate the prognostic role of OSM in IBD *** Literature search was conducted in electronic databases(Google Scholar,Embase,PubMed,Science Direct,Springer,and Wiley).Studies were selected if they reported prognostic information about OSM in IBD *** data were synthesized,and meta-analyses were performed to estimate standardized mean differences(SMDs)in OSM levels between treatment responders and non-res-ponders and to seek overall correlations of OSM with other inflammatory *** Sixteen studies(818 Crohn’s disease and 686 ulcerative colitis patients treated with anti-tumor necrosis factor-based therapies)were *** levels were associated with IBD severity.A meta-analysis found significantly higher OSM levels in non-responders than in responders to therapy[SMD 0.80(0.33,1.27);P=0.001],in non-remitters than in remitters[SMD 0.75(95%CI:0.35 to 1.16);P<0.0001]and in patients with no mucosal healing than in those with mucosal heal-ing[SMD 0.63(0.30,0.95);P<0.0001].Area under receiver operator curve values showed considerable variability between studies but in general higher OSM levels were associated with poor *** had significant correlations with Simple Endoscopic Score of Crohn’s disease[r=0.47(95%CI:0.25 to 0.64);P<0.0001],Mayo Endoscopic Score[r=0.35(95%CI:0.28 to 0.41);P<0.0001],fecal calprotectin[r=0.19(95%CI:0.08 to 0.3);P=0.001],C-reactive protein[r=0.25(95%CI:0.11 to 0.39);P<0.0001],and platelet count[r=0.28(95%CI:0.17 to 0.39);P<0.0001].CONCLUSION OSM is a potential candidate for determining the severity of disease and predicting the outcomes of anti-tumor necrosis factor-based therapies in IBD patients.

Meiotic recombination is essential for sexual reproduction and its regulation has been extensively studied in many ***,genome-wide recombination landscape has not been reported in ciliates and it remains unknown how it is affected by the unique features of ciliates:the synaptonemal complex(SC)-independent meiosis and the nuclear ***,we show the recombination landscape in the model ciliate Tetrahymena thermophila by analyzing single-nucleotide polymorphism datasets from 38 hybrid *** detect 1021 crossover(CO)events(35.8 per meiosis),corresponding to an overall CO rate of 9.9 cM/***,gene conversion by non-crossover is rare(1.03 per meiosis)and not biased towards G or C *** with the reported roles of SC in CO interference,we find no obvious sign of CO *** tends to occur within germ-soma common genomic regions and many of the 44 identified CO hotspots localize at the centromeric or subtelomeric *** ontology analyses show that CO hotspots are strongly associated with genes responding to environmental *** discuss these results with respect to how nuclear dimorphism has potentially driven the formation of the observed recombination landscape to facilitate environmental adaptation and the sharing of machinery among meiotic and somatic recombination.

The Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas,one of the most exploited molluscs in the world,has suffered from massive mortality in recent decades,and the occurrence mechanisms have not been well *** this study,to reveal the relationship of associated microbiota to the fitness of oysters,temporal dynamics of microbiota in the gill,hemolymph,and hepatopancreas of *** during April 2018-January 2019 were investigated by 16 S rRNA gene *** microbiota in *** exhibited tissue heterogeneity,of which Spirochaetaceae was dominant in the gill and hemolymph while Mycoplasmataceae enriched in the ***-occurrence network demonstrated that the gill microbiota exhibited higher inter-taxon connectivity while the hemolymph microbiota had more *** richness(Chao 1 index)and diversity(Shannon index)of microbial community in each tissue showed no significant seasonal variations,except for the hepatopancreas having a higher richness in the ***,beta diversity analysis indicated a relatively stable microbiota in each tissue during the sampling period,showing relative abundance of the dominant taxa exhibiting temporal *** indicate that the microbial community in *** showed a tissue-specific stability with temporal dynamics in the composition,which might be essential for the tissue functioning and environmental adaption in *** work provides a baseline microbiota in *** and is helpful for the understanding of host-microbiota interaction in oysters.

Lightweight refractory materials with thermal insulation properties and erosion resistance are advantageous for hightemperature *** zirconia refractories were prepared using starch as a pore-forming agent,basic magnesium carbonate as a stabilizer,and nano-zirconia as an *** effects of the nano-zirconia content on the pore and thermal insulation properties of the lightweight zirconia refractories were investigated based on the porosity,phase composition,microstructure,and thermal ***-zirconia was shown to have a high surface energy,and its addition effectively increased the driving force for sintering,reduced the sintering temperature,and promoted the sintering reaction,thereby reducing the apparent porosity and improving the density of the prepared *** to the superplasticity of nano-zirconia,the surface stress caused plastic deformation between particles,which increased the migration rate of grain boundaries and trapped more gas inside the material before it diffused to the surface,thereby enhancing the closed porosity of the *** presence of closed pores could extend the thermal conduction path,decrease the conduction rate,and hinder the conduction effect to effectively reduce the thermal conductivity of the *** a nano-zirconia content of 0.75 wt.%,the prepared lightweight zirconia had the highest closed porosity and the lowest thermal *** apparent porosity,closed porosity,and total porosity of the material were 2.8%,7.0%,and 9.8%,respectively,and the thermal conductivity at 800℃was 1.37 W m^(-1)k^(-1).
