Adipose tissue is a major metabolic organ, and it has been traditionally classified as either white adipose tissue(WAT) or brown adipose tissue(BAT). WAT and BAT are characterized by different anatomical locations, morphological structures, functions, and regulations. WAT and BAT are both involved in energy balance. WAT is mainly involved in the storage and mobilization of energy in the form of triglycerides, whereas BAT specializes in dissipating energy as heat during cold- or diet-induced thermogenesis. Recently, brownlike adipocytes were discovered in WAT. These brownlike adipocytes that appear in WAT are called beige or brite adipocytes. Interestingly, these beige/brite cells resemble white fat cells in the basal state, but they respond to thermogenic stimuli with increased levels of thermogenic genes and increased respiration rates. In addition, beige/brite cells have a gene expressionpattern distinct from that of either white or brown fat cells. The current epidemic of obesity has increased the interest in studying adipocyte formation(adipogenesis), especially in beige/brite cells. This review summarizes the developmental process of adipose tissues that originate from the mesenchymal stem cells and the features of these three different types of adipocytes.

The turbulent fluxes, such as sensible and latent heat fluxes and CO2 flux, are globally observed over various terrestrial areas in order to understand the interaction between biosphere and atmosphere. Although the turbulent flux observations are generally performed on a horizontally homogeneous surface, the spatial distribution of the soil moisture is not homogeneous even on cultivated land with homogeneous vegetation, indicating that the development of each plant would be different and that the plant physiology, such as photosynthesis and growth, would be heterogeneous. In this study, to clarify the impact of a heterogeneous surface on spatiotemporal uncertainty of turbulent fluxes, a simultaneous flux observation experiment was conducted at different heights (20 m and 30 m) above the ground surface in a secondary seasonal tropical forest located in the Tak Province, Thailand. We defined ε as the spatial uncertainty of the turbulent flow flux, as proposed by Kim et al. (2011b) [1], and observed that ε of CO2 flux was high, whereas ε of sensible and latent heat fluxes were low. This is likely to be caused by spatial uncertainty such as a heterogeneous surface. The CO2 environment was heterogeneous;however, sensible and latent heat environments were homogeneous because the source area received insolation uniformly. Therefore, the analytical results for the CO2 flux presented a different pattern from those exhibited by the analytical results of the latent and sensible heat fluxes.

necrotizing fasciitis (FN) are severe, fulminant infection with necrosis of the skin and superficial fascia. The variability of the clinical picture and the severity of the condition make it a formidable condition. B.A, 16 years old, breeder, was admitted to ENT hospitalization for a large necrotic cervico-thoracic and dorsal ulceration of sudden onset following febrile odynophagia. ENT examination: large necrotic wound extending from the antero-posterior cervical region to the thoraco-abdominal and dorsal region, letting pus weld with trismus at 1.5 cm and a fistula of the anterior pillar of the right tonsil. Cytobacteriological examination of the pus isolated Staphylococcus aureus. We instituted a probabilistic antibiotic therapy readjusted afterward to the association amoxicillin clavulanic acid with the result of the antibiogram. Incision, drainage and surgical debridement of all necrotic tissues were performed, leading to extensive loss of skin substance. A daily local dressing was applied for 11 days, then replaced by honey for 51 days. On the 64th day, he was entrusted to the dermatology department for a skin graft where he stayed for 3 months. Conclusion: current name, necrotizing bacterial dermohypodermatitis. Surgery has a key role in treatment. Antibiotic therapy should be broad-spectrum.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic, widespread musculoskeletal pain and polyalgic syndrome, evolving for more than three months. Research on its consequences on fertility is therefore relevant to explore. The aim of this study is to highlight the relationship between fibromyalgia and some women’s diseases that induced infertility. The results showed that fibromyalgia is more common in 92.9% of patients wishing to procreate and 64.8% of patients with gynecological disorders. 70.7% of patients with menstrual disorder have fibromyalgia and 76.5% of fibromyalgia patients have myomas. Among ovarian pathologies, 76.5% of women with ovarian dystrophy have fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is also very prevalent in women with miscarriage (55.9%) and stillbirth history (90.1%). For all studied situations, a highly significant difference was observed (p < 0.000). All these data suggest that fibromyalgia is related to different situations that can induce infertility in women.

Ebstein disease is a rare congenital malformation whose clinical presentation differs according to the anatomical form and age of the patient. In adults, it presents mainly in the form of right or global heart failure or rhythm disorders. Survival is exceptionally long in some forms. We report the case of a 70-year-old patient with Ebstein’s disease in right heart failure.

Introduction: Maternal mortality, which is estimated at 614 deaths per 100,000 births in Côte d’Ivoire, is associated with a low national contraceptive prevalence rate of 13.9%. In this study, we are interested in the contraceptive experiences of women who attend health centers to estimate their rate of contraceptive use and to assess the factors involved in the use of modern contraceptive methods among women of childbearing age who are exposed to the risk of pregnancy. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from December 2018 to September 2019 among 423 women, who attended two health centers in Abidjan. A bivariate analysis identified factors associated with contraceptive use by these women. A descriptive analysis determined the means for the quantitative variables and the frequencies and percentages of qualitative variables. Interpretation of results was based on significance (α = 5%, 95% CI). Results: Contraceptive prevalence was 37%. There was a significant relationship between contraceptive use and the socio-demographic and reproductive characteristics of women (p Conclusion: Women who were over 35 years age, uneducated, primary school graduates, housewives, unemployed, in the informal sector, Muslims, nulliparous, and lacking information and decision-making power were less likely to use modern contraceptive methods. They are the target population for strategic interventions to improve contraceptive prevalence.

Objective:To evaluate the prevalence of toxoplasmosis and rubella among pregnant women at Ouagadougou in Burkina ***:All patient sera were tested for rubella and toxoplasmosis anti-IgG using commercial ELISA kits(PlateliaTMRubella IgG and Platelia? Objective:To investigate the antiproliferative activity of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge.(SM)on the castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)cell line DU-145 in vitro and in ***:Prostate cancer cell line(DU-145)and normal prostate cell line(RWPE-1)were treated with SM at different concentrations(3.125,12.5,25 and 50μg/mL)to investigate the antiproliferative *** laddering analysis was performed to investigate the apoptosis of DU-145 *** mechanism was investigated by Western blot analysis of p53,Bcl-2,prostate specific antigen(PSA),and androgen receptor(AR).Six-week-old male BALB/c nude mice were randomly divided into normal control group(n=101)and treated group(n=101)which administered 500 mg/kg SM for 2 *** volumes were ***:Treatment with SM resulted in a dose-dependent decrease in cell number of DU-145 cells in comparison with *** laddering analysis indicated the apoptosis of DU-145 *** with SM increased the expression of p53 and reduced the expression of Bcl-2 *** levels of PSA were considerably reduced in SM-treated group compared to the controls,and a decrease in AR expression was observed when cells were treated with SM in the same pattern as a reduction in *** the tumour xenograft study,SM given once a day for 2 weeks significantly inhibited tumour ***:SM might contribute to the anticancer actions such as induction of apoptosis and inhibition of proliferation of prostate cancer cells.

About an Observation of a Child Penetrating Brain Injury by Knife

Background: Reported cases of knife injuries to the head in children are rare. Here we describe a case of pediatric penetrating brain injury by knife (PPBIK) and review literature. The patient’s parents were informed that non-identifying information from the case would be submitted for publication, and they provided consent. Case Presentation: A 3-year-old boy presented to our emergency department with a knife penetrating the front of his head during play. Neurologic examination was normal. Radiograph in lateral view demonstrated a metallic knife entering frontal bone. Computed tomography (CT) scan showed small hemorrhage around the foreign body recognized, accompanied by small pneumocephalus. The knife was surgically removed and the dura was closed. He was discharged home after the surgery with normal neurological status. Conclusion: Only four cases of PPBIK have been reported in the literature. The adequate management of these types of injuries requires a correct neuroradiological evaluation.
