Since first establishing thermal measurement techniques for micrometer-scale wires,various methods have been devised and improved ***,the uncertainty of different measurements on the same sample has not yet been *** this work,a round robin test was performed to compare the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity measurement methods for a fine metal *** tested material was a pure gold wire,with a diameter of 30μ*** wire was cut into certain lengths and distributed to four institutions using five different measurement methods:the direct current(DC)self-heating method,the DC heating T-type method,the 3ωmethod for thermal conductivity,the scanning laser heating alternating current(AC)method,and the spot periodic heating radiation thermometry method for thermal *** completing the measurements,the reported thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity at room temperature,i.e.,317 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)and 128×10^(-6)m^(2)·s^(-1),respectively,were adopted as references for comparison with the measurement *** advantages and disadvantages of each method are described in terms of the effect of electrical and thermal junctions fabricated on a wire,such as an electrode,a thermocouple,and a heat *** knowledge obtained from the tested methods will be useful for selecting and designing a measurement technique for various wire-like materials.

Enhanced ablation efficiency for silicon by femtosecond laser microprocessing with GHz bursts in MHz bursts(BiBurst)

Concurrent chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer： background including evidence-based data, pitfalls of the data, limitation of treatment in certain groups

Concurrent chemoradiotherapy （CCRT） is regarded as the standard treatment for locally advanced uterine cervical cancer （LACC）, including stage Ib2-IVa disease [International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics （FIGO） staging]. However, approximately a third of eligible patients in previous studies died of LACC despite receiving CCRT. The therapeutic significance of CCRT alone in stage Ⅲ-IVa disease has not yet been confirmed. Effective treatment of some LACC is beyond the scope of CCRT. The objective of the present review is to highlight some challenging work aimed at overcoming this seemingly intractable disease. CCRT with increased peak concentrations of cisplatin （CDDP）, surgery following CCRT, adjuvant chemotherapy （CT） following CCRT, and neoadjuvant CT followed by CCRT are strategies expected to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of CCRT. If patients with LACC were divided into those with low-risk or high-risk systemic disease or prognoses, novel strategies should be assessed in the group with high-risk disease.

Linear Gyro-Kinetic Response Function for Zonal Flows

A linear response function for zonal flows is obtained by solving the gyro-kinetic equation. This is an extension of a previous work which adopted the method of ＂integrating along particle orbit＂ to solve the drift kinetic equation. The formula derived in this paper is used to calculate the dispersion relation of geodesic acoustic mode, which is then compared with that of the gyro-kinetic analytic formula.

Root pruning is effective in alleviating the inhibition of soybean growth caused by anaerobic stress for a short period

Soybean is an important upland crop,but its productivity is often limited by anaerobic stress caused by *** ability to adjust root growth under environmental constraints is an important physiological trait for adapting to an everchanging environment,and root pruning is an artificial technique for regenerating the root *** the present study,we investigated whether root pruning in soybean can effectively alleviate the inhibitory effects of anaerobic *** plants were affected by anaerobic stress at the germination,vegetative stage 1(V1),and reproductive stage 1(R1)stages,and then the plants were treated with root pruning just after the stress *** plants at the germination stage were treated with root cap and tip removals after hypoxia(N_(2)treatment).Root cap removal was more effective in suppressing the inhibitory effects of hypoxia than root tip removal(5 mm from the tip).The shoot dry weights of the soybean plants with and without root cap removal after hypoxia were 51.2 and 73.8%of the control,respectively,while the root dry weights of plants with and without root cap removal after hypoxia were 43.2 and 62.8%of the control,*** root cap removal effectively enhanced soybean growth after anaerobic stress,the root cap may be the candidate tissue for the stress memory *** soybean plants at the V1 stage of growth were affected by anaerobic stress,the branch number,pod weight in the main stem,root length,and root surface area of the soybean plants treated with anaerobic stress at the R1 stage significantly decreased compared with those of the *** contrast,root pruning(2 mm from the tip)immediately after the stress treatment enhanced root growth,branch number,and pod *** branch number,pod weight,root length,and root surface area of the plants treated with root pruning were 1.13,1.14,1.12,and 1.13 times higher than those of plants treated with anaerobic *** was observed in the roo

Adjuvant chemotherapy for early-stage cervical cancer

The aim of this review is to address the current status of adjuvant chemotherapy alone in early-stage cervical cancer treatments in the literature. At present, the therapeutic effect of adjuvant chemotherapy alone after radical surgery （RS） has not yet been established, and radiation therapy （RT） or concurrent chemoradiotherapy （CCRT） is recommended as the standard adjuvant therapy after RS for early-stage cervical cancer in various guidelines. The main purpose of adjuvant therapy after RS, however, should be to reduce extrapelvic recurrence rather than local recurrence, although adjuvant RT or CCRT has survival benefits for patients with intermediate- or high-risk factors for recurrence. Moreover, several studies reported that adjuvant therapies including RT were associated with a higher incidence of complications, such as lymphedema, bowel obstruction and urinary disturbance, and a lower grade of long-term quality of life （QOL） or sexual functioning than adjuvant chemotherapy alone. The effect of adjuvant chemotherapy alone for early-stage cervical cancer with intermediate- or high-risk factors for recurrence were not fully investigated in prospective studies, but several retrospective studies suggest that the adjuvant effects of chemotherapy alone are at least similar to that of RT or CCRT in terms of recurrence rate, disease-free survival, or overall survival （OS） with lower incidence of complications. Whereas cisplatin based combination regimens were used in these studies, paclitaxel/cisplatin （TP） regimen, which is currently recognized as a standard chemotherapy regimen for patients with metastatic, recurrent or persistent cervical cancer by Gynecologic Oncology Group （GOG）, had also survival benefit as an adjuvant therapy. Therefore, it may be worth considering a prospective randomized controlled trial （RCT） of adjuvant chemotherapy alone using TP regimen versus adjuvant RT as an alternative adjuvant therapy. Chemotherapy and molecular targeting therapy for recurrent cervical cancer

For patients with primary stage IVB, persistent, or recurrent cervical cancer, chemotherapy remains the standard treatment, although it is neither curative nor associated with long-term disease control. In this review, we summarized the history of treatment of recurrent cervical cancer, and the current recommendation for chemotherapy and molecular targeted therapy. Eligible articles were identified by a search of the MEDLINE bibliographical database for the period up to November 30, 2014. The search strategy included the following any or all of the keywords：＂uterine cervical cancer＂, ＂chemotherapy＂, and ＂targeted therapies＂. Since cisplatin every 21 days was considered as the historical standard treatment for recurrent cervical cancer, subsequent trials have evaluated and demonstrated activity for other agents including paclitaxel, gemcitabine, topotecan and vinorelbine among others. Accordingly, promising agents were incorporated into phase III trials. To examine the best agent to combine with cisplatin, several landmark phase III clinical trials were conducted by Gynecologic Oncology Group （GOG） and Japan Clinical Oncology Group （JCOG）. Through, GOG204 and JCOG0505, paclitaxel/cisplatin （TP） and paclitaxel/carboplatin （TC） are now considered to be the recommended therapies for recurrent cervical cancer patients. However, the prognosis of patients who are already resistant to chemotherapy, are very poor. Therefore new therapeutic strategies are urgently required. Molecular targeted therapy will be the most hopeful candidate of these strategies. From the results of GOG240, bevacizumab combined with TP reached its primary endpoint of improving overall survival （OS）. Although, the prognosis for recurrent cervical cancer patients is still poor, the results of GOG240 shed light on the usefulness of molecular target agents to chemotherapy in cancer patients. The change in appearance during the seasonal transitions in ornamental greening plants is an important *** particular,the early onset of green leaf color is a desirable trait for a *** this study,we established a method for phenotyping leaf color change by multispectral imaging and performed genetic analysis based on the phenotypes to clarify the potential of the approach in breeding greening *** performed multispectral phenotyping and quantitative trait locus(QTL)analysis of an F1 population derived from 2 parental lines of Phedimus takesimensis,known to be a drought and heat-tolerant rooftop plant *** imaging was conducted in April of 2019 and 2020 when dormancy breakage occurs and growth extension *** component analysis of 9 different wavelength values showed a high contribution from the first principal component(PC1),which captured variation in the visible light *** high interannual correlation in PC1 and in the intensity of visible light indicated that the multispectral phenotyping captured genetic variation in the color of *** also performed restriction site-associated DNA sequencing and obtained the first genetic linkage map of Phedimus *** analysis revealed 2 QTLs related to early dormancy *** on the genotypes of the markers underlying these 2 QTLs,the F1 phenotypes with early(late)dormancy break,green(red or brown)leaves,and a high(low)degree of vegetative growth were *** results suggest the potential of multispectral phenotyping in the genetic dissection of seasonal leaf color changes in greening plants.

Land use change of Kitakyushu based on landscape ecology and Markov model

Based on four phases of TM images acquired in 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005, this paper took Kitakyushu in Japan as a case study to analyze spatial change of land use landscape and corresponding effects on environmental issues guided by landscape ecology theory in virtue of combining technology of Remote Sensing with GIS. Firstly, land use types were divided into 6 classes （farmland, mountain, forestland, water body, urban land and unused land） according to national classification standard of land use, comprehensible ability of TM image and purpose of this study. Secondly, following the theory of landscape ecology analysis, 11 typical landscape indices were abstracted to evaluate the environmental effects and spatial feature changes of land use. Research results indicated that land use has grown more and more diversified and unbalanced, human activities have disturbed the landscape more seriously. Finally, transfer matrix of Markov was applied to forecast change process of land use in the future different periods, and then potential land use changes were also simulated from 2010 to 2050. Results showed that conversion tendency for all types of land use in Kitakyushu into urban construction land were enhanced. The study was anticipated to help local authorities better understand and address a complex land use system, and develop improved land use management strategies that could better balance urban expansion and ecological conservation.
