For the aim at exploring differences on personality traits between excessive online game users and non-excessive users in Japan, an online survey was conducted using psychological scales measuring addictive tendencies for online gaming, depressive tendencies, aggression, and self-concealment. The results revealed that excessive online game users having addictive tendencies in Japan had lack of self-esteem as one of depressive tendencies, high aggressive tendencies, and low tendency of self-disclosure, in contrast with non-excessive users. Moreover, it was suggested that these users had a confidence in the society based on contributive behaviors in multi-player groups of online gaming.

AIM:To investigate the influence of percutaneous local therapy on gastric myoelectrical activity in patients with hepatocellular ***:Forty-four patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) [27 males and 17 females,ranging in age from 49 to 81 years old(69.7 ± 8.01 years)] who were admitted for percutaneous local therapy were enrolled in this *** examined clinical abdominal symptoms using the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale(GSRS) before and 3 d after percutaneous local *** also measured cutaneous fasting and postprandial electrogastrography(EGG) recordings before and 3 d after percutaneous local ***:We found that the percentage of normogastria in the fasting period was lower in the Child B group than in the Child A group(66.8% ± 8.6% vs 84.0% ± 3.8%).After percutaneous local therapy for HCC,the percentages of normogastria in the fasting period were significantly decreased(81.6% ± 3.5% vs 75.2% ± 4.5%).None of the postprandial EGG parameters changed significantly after percutaneous local therapy for *** local therapy for HCC reduced the power ratio(PR).In particular,the PR of tachygastria was significantly decreased after therapy(P < 0.01).However,no significant differences were found in the postprandial EGG ***,no significant differences were found in the calculated GSRS scores obtained from the questionnaire before and after ***:Gastric slow-wave dysrhythmias were induced by percutaneous local therapy in HCC patients,even though the GSRS scores obtained from the questionnaire did not change significantly.

局部加压方法是压铸中用于消除铸件厚壁处缩孔缺陷的一种新工艺.本研究通过实验模型测量局部加压过程中金属型、铸件和加压杆的温度变化曲线,分析了传热与凝固现象.结果表明:局部加压使铸件的凝固时间大为缩短;加压杆前端的温度大幅上升,而金属型的温度则无明显变化.利用变网格技术,根据加压深度通过适时修改网格文件、初始和边界条件的方法,模拟了铝合金在局部加压过程中的凝固变化,并与试验结果进行了对比和讨论.

Reports of cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis mainly concern patients with immunocompromisation resulting from, among others, HIV infection, allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and solid organ transplantation. CMV colitis rarely occurs during standard chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). An unusual case of CMV enterocolitis in a 62-year-old patient is reported. After a first course of salvage chemotherapy for NHL, diffuse erosions and sloughing mucosa were seen throughout the large bowel. The final diagnosis was based on histological findings. Although ganciclovir and foscarnet are effective for CMV viremia, their use in the treatment of severe diarrhea in our patient did not result in improvement for one week, whereas concomitant use of octreotide led to rapid improvement. Octreotide may therefore be an effective agent for severe colitis.

AIM: To compare previously reported randomized controlled studies(RCTs) of cold and hot polypectomy, we systematically reviewed and clarify the utility of cold polypectomy over hot with respect to efficacy and adverse ***: A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the predominance of cold and hot polypectomy for removing colon polyps. Published articles and abstracts from worldwide conferences were searched using the keywords "cold polypectomy". RCTs that compared either or both the effects or adverse events of cold polypectomy with those of hot polypectomy were collected. The patients' demographics, endoscopic procedures, No. of examined lesions, lesion size, macroscopic and histologic findings, rates of incomplete resection, bleeding amount, perforation, and length of procedure were extracted from each study. A forest plot analysis was used to verify the relative strength of the effects and adverse events of each procedure. A funnel plot was generated to assess the possibility of publication ***: Ultimately, six RCTs were selected. No significant differences were noted in the average lesion size(less than 10 mm) between the cold and hot polypectomy groups in each study. Further, the rates of complete resection and adverse events, including delayed bleeding, did not differ markedly between cold and hot polypectomy. The average procedural time in the cold polypectomy group was significantly shorter than in the hot polypectomy ***: Cold polypectomy is a time-saving procedure for removing small polyps with markedly similar curability and safety to hot polypectomy.

Continuous-time Markowitz＇s by parameterizing a critical quantity. It mean-variance efficient strategies are modified is shown that these parameterized Markowitz strategies could reach the original mean target with arbitrarily high probabilities. This, in turn, motivates the introduction of certain stopped strategies where stock holdings are liquidated whenever the parameterized Markowitz strategies reach the present value of the mean target. The risk aspect of the revised Markowitz strategies are examined via expected discounted loss from the initial budget. A new portfolio selection model is suggested based on the results of the paper.
