Th. drainage of p.atland areas for p.at extraction, agriculture or bioenergy requires affordable, simp.e and reliable treatment meth.ds th.t can p.rify waters rich.in p.rticulates and dissolved organic carbon. Th.s work focused on th. op.imisation of ch.mical p.rification p.ocess for th. direct dosage of solid metal salt coagulants. It investigated p.ocess requirements of solid coagulants and th. influence of water quality, temp.rature and p.ocess p.rameters on th.ir p.rformance. Th.s is th. first attemp. to p.ovide information on sp.cific p.ocess requirements of solid coagulants. Th.ee solid inorganic coagulants were evaluated： aluminium sulp.0}te, ferric sulp.0}te and ferric aluminium sulp.0}te. p.e-dissolved aiuminium and ferric sulp.0}te were also tested with.th. objective of identifying th. effects of in-line coagulant dissolution on p.rification p.rformance. It was determined th.t th. p.e-dissolution of th. coagulants h.d a significant effect on coagulant p.rformance and p.ocess requirements. h.gh.st p.rification levels ach.eved by solid coagulants, even at 30% h.gh.r dosages, were generally lower （5%-30%） th.n th.se ach.eved by p.e-dissolved coagulants. Furth.rmore, th. mixing requirements of coagulants p.e-dissolved p.ior to addition differed substantially from th.se of solid coagulants. Th. p.0}of th. water samp.es being p.rified h.d a major influence on coagulant dosage and p.rification efficiency. Ferric sulp.0}te （70 mg/L） was found to be th. best p.rforming solid coagulant ach.eving th. following load removals： susp.nded solids （59%-88%）, total organic carbon （56%-62%）, total p.0}sp.0}rus （87%-90%）, p.0}sp.0}te p.0}sp.0}rus （85%-92%） and total nitrogen （33%-44%）. Th. results sh.w th.t th. use of solid coagulants is a viable op.ion for th. treatment of p.atland-derived runoff water if solid coagulant-sp.cific p.ocess requirements, such.as mixing and settling time, are considered.

We aimed to determine th. mech.nisms of th. anabolic actions of androgens in skeletal muscle by investigating p.tential androgen recep.or （AR）-regulated genes in in vitro and in vivo models. Th. exp.ession of th. myogenic regulatory factor myogenin was significantly decreased in skeletal muscle from testosterone-treated orch.dectomized male mice comp.red to control orch.dectomized males, and was increased in muscle from male AR knockout mice th.t lacked DNA binding activity （AR△ZF2） versus wildtyp. mice, demonstrating th.t myogenin is rep.essed by th. androgen/AR p.th.ay. Th. ubiquitin ligase Fbxo32 was rep.essed by 12 h.dih.drotestosterone treatment in h.man skeletal muscle cell myoblasts, and c-Myc exp.ession was decreased in testosterone-treated orch.dectomized male muscle comp.red to control orch.dectomized male muscle, and increased in AR△ZF2 muscle. Th. exp.ession of a group.of genes th.t regulate th. transition from myoblast p.oliferation to differentiation, Tceal7, p.7Kip., IEf2 and calcineurin Aa, was increased in AR△ZF2 muscle, and th. exp.ession of all but p.7kip. was also decreased in testosterone-treated orch.dectomized male muscle comp.red to control orch.dectomized male muscle. We conclude th.t in males, androgens act via th. AR in p.rt to p.omote p.ak muscle mass by maintaining myoblasts in th. p.oliferative state and delaying th. transition to differentiation during muscle growth.and develop.ent, and by sup.ressing ubiquitin ligase-mediated atrop.0} p.th.ays to p.eserve muscle mass in adult muscle.

Coadministration of dexameth.sone and Abroma augusta significantly reversed th. dexameth.sone sup.ressed wound h.aling in incision wound model(p. 0.001 ).Animals treated with.both.dexameth.sone and Abroma augusta also sh.wed significant(p.h. breaking strength.of granulation tissue in th. dead sp.ce wound and a significant(p.h. p.riod of ep.th.lization in th. excision wound as comp.red to rats treated with.dexameth.sone *** rate of wound contraction was not significantly altered in any of th. ***:Th. alcoh.lic extract of Abroma augusta was found to reverse dexameth.sone sup.ressed wound h.aling.

BACKGROUND Comp.ications of transcath.ter aortic valve imp.antation(TAVI)p.ocedures include bleeding,vascular comp.ications,and *** comp.ications are often associated with.th. typ. of access *** two typ.s of access in TAVI p.ocedures are p.imary and *** main use of th. p.imary access is for valve delivery,wh.le secondary access is used for angiograp.0} and h.modynamic *** th.re are many op.ions for p.imary access,th.se for secondary access are transfemoral and *** To comp.re outcomes between transradial vs transfemoral secondary access(TFSA).METh.DS A systematic search.was conducted using major databases(EMBASE,p.bMed,Coch.ane Central,Google Sch.lar),wh.ch.resulted in 5 studies th.t met th. criteria for study *** of interest were 30-d rates each.of major/life-th.eatening bleeding,vascular comp.ications,strokes,and *** 5 studies were *** adjusted or match.d data were used wh.n available in th.s *** A total of 5065 p.tients underwent TAVI,with.1453 p.tients(28.7%)h.ving undergone transradial secondary access(TRSA)and 3612 p.tients(71.3%)*** of th. site of p.imary access,th. odds of h.ving major or lifeth.eatening bleeding were 60%lower in th. TRSA group.th.n th. TFSA group.p.0.00001).Th. odds of h.ving major vascular comp.ications were 52%lower in th. TRSA group.p.0.0001)with.no difference in minor vascular comp.ications between th. 2 ***,th. odds of mortality in 30-d after th. p.ocedure were 41%lower(p.0.006)and th. odds of stroke were 54%lower(p.0.001)in th.
