The capture of CO_(2) by transition metal(Mn,Ni,Co and Zn)aluminates,calcium aluminate,calcium zirconate,calcium silicate and lithium zirconate was carried out at pre-and post-combustion *** prepared metal adsorbents were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),surface area analysis and acidity/alkalinity *** different experimental variables affecting the adsorbents ability to capture CO_(2),such as the mol ratio of metal ions,the pressure of CO_(2),the exposure time and the temperature of the adsorbent were also *** zirconate captured 13.85 wt-%CO_(2) at 650℃ and 2.5 atm and calcium silicate captured 14.31 wt-%at 650℃.Molecular sieves(13X)and carbon can only capture a negligible amount of CO_(2) at high temperatures(300℃–650℃).However,the mixed metal oxides captured reasonable amount of CO_(2) at these higher *** addition,calcium aluminate,calcium zirconate,calcium silicate and lithium zirconate adsorbents captured CO_(2) at both pre and post-combustion *** trend for the amount of captured carbon dioxide over the adsorbents was calcium aluminate

We have studied the electronic properties of molybdenum diselenide （MoSe2） in both bulk and mono- layer （zigzag and armchair） forms using density function theory. The metallic nature of the zigzag MoSe2 （ZMoSe2） nanoribbon and the semiconducting behavior of the armchair MoSe2 （AMoSe2） nanoribbon have been explored us- ing a band structure calculated using self-consistent calculations. We have also studied the variation in the bandgap in the presence of a small amount of strain （uniaxial, biaxial）. The effect of tensile strain has been investigated and shifts in the conduction band and valance band have been observed with different amounts of applied strain.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of proline and glutamine on in vitro callus induction and subsequent regeneration and to develop a reproducible and highly efficient plant regeneration protocol in four rice genotypes, viz. Pawana, Jaya, Indrayani and Ambemohar. Considerable variation in response to plant growth regulators and amino acid supplements used was observed in all the four genotypes. Medium supplemented with proline and glutamine was shown to be superior to medium without proline and glutamine. The best callusing from mature embryo was observed on Murashige and Skoog （MS） medium supplemented with 2.0 mg/L 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid （2,4-D）, 500 mg/L proline and 500 mg/L glutamine. Shoot induction was higher in the callus obtained from medium supplemented with 500 mg/L proline and 500 mg/L glutamine. The highest shoot regeneration frequency （83.2%） was observed on MS medium with 2.0 mg/L benzylaminopurine, 0.5 mg/L 1-naphthaleneacetic acid, 500 mg/L proline, and 500 mg/L glutamine in the callus obtained from MS medium supplemented with 2.0 mg/L 2,4-D, 500 mg/L proline and 500 mg/L glutamine. Among the four genotypes, Pawana has the highest regeneration efficiency （83.2%）, whereas the regeneration efficiency of the rest three rice genotypes was in the range of 32.0% to 72.3%. This optimized regeneration protocol can be efficiently used for Agrobacterium mediated genetic transformation in rice.

The shear stress distribution at alluvial stream beds and banks is one of the essential parameters in channel stability *** the current paper,a novel uncertainty analysis method based on the framework of a Bayesian Forecasting System(BFS) is presented to evaluate the Shannon entropy model for prediction of the shear stress distribution in both circular rigid-bed and alluvial-bed *** Johnson and Box-Cox transformation functions were applied to select the optimum sample size(SS) and corresponding transformation factor for determining a 95% confidence bound(CB) for the Shannon entropy *** Shapiro-Wilk(SW) test is applied according to the SS used to evaluate the power of transformation functions in the data *** results show that the error distribution between predicted and experimental shear stress values generated using the Box-Cox transformation is closer to a Gaussian distribution than the generated using the Johnson *** indexes of the percentage of the experimental values within the CB(Nin) and Forecast Range Error Estimate(FREE) are applied for the uncertainty *** lower values of FREE equal to 1.724 in the circular rigid-bed channel represent the low uncertainty of Shannon entropy in the prediction of shear stress values compared to the uncertainty for the circular alluvial-bed channel with a FREE value equal to 7.647.

A study was carried out in district Samba of Western Himalayan province of Jammu and Kashmir of *** data were collected in an interview schedule in personal interview with 180 household *** association between the level of fuelwood consumption(low versus high consumption) and different factors,each individually,was investigated using chi-square test of association at 0.001 level of *** was found that out of 25 socio-economic,biophysical and alternate fuel factors,15 factors(each individually) significantly influenced the domestic fuelwood *** regression models of alternate fuel use,social,economic and biophysical factors were developed to identify key variables influencing fuelwood consumption levels within each respective category.A composite model was also developed to identify key factors when all variables in all the pre-said categories were considered ***,in contrast to expectation the model with alternate fuel use did not provide a good *** biophysical model also did not provide a good *** economic and composite models were the same with equal level of accuracy of *** implies that economic aspects,rather than the availability of alternate fuels,dominate fuelwood consumption levels of rural *** to increase the exposure of the head of household to outside world needs to formulated to reduce the domestic fuelwood consumption *** nearer to state forests are to be educated about efficient use of fuelwood and be encouraged to intensify use of Liquified Petroleum *** wider implications of study are:the availability of alternate fuels is not a necessary condition to decrease household level domestic fuelwood *** factors needs to be considered in designing strategies to reduce fuelwood *** employment opportunities would increase the opportunity cost of fuelwood collection and this would reduce its use.

Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) are a one-dimensional semiconductor, which shows promising applications indistinct areas such as photocatalysis, lithium-ion batteries, gas sensors, medical diagnostics, drug delivery,and solar cell. From an implementation point of view, SiNWs are fabricated using either a topdownor bottom-up approach, and SiNWs are both optically and electronically active. SiNWs enhancesthe efficiency of the solar cell due to better electronic, optical, and physical properties that can becontrolled by tuning the physical dimensions of SiNWs. The SiNWs shows an inherent capability to beutilized in radial or coaxial p-n junction solar cells, to stipulate orthogonal photon absorption, antireflection,and enhanced carrier collection. This paper reviews property-control of SiNWs, theirvarious types of incorporation in a solar cell, and the reasons behind enhanced efficiency.

Cooling system improvement is important in injection molding to get betterquality and productivity. The aim of this paper was to compare the different shapes of theconformal cooling channels (CCC) with constant surface area and CCC with constantvolume in injection molding using Mold-flow Insight 2016 software. Also the CCC resultswere compared with conventional cooling channels. Four different shapes of the CCC suchas circular, elliptical, rectangular and semi-circular were proposed. The locations of thecooling channels were also kept constant. The results in terms of cooling time, cycle timereduction and improvement in quality of the product shows that no significant effect ofCCC’s shapes when surface area of CCC kept constant. On the other hand, the rectangularCCC shows better result as compared to other shapes of CCC when volume of CCC werekept constant.

The paper aims at designing of two stage cascaded ultra-wideband(UWB) low noise amplifier(LNA) by using negative image amplifier technique. The objective of this article is to show the performance improvement using negative image amplifier technique and realization of negative valued lumped elements into microstrip line geometry. The innovative technique to realize the negative lumped elements are carried out by using Richard's Transformation and transmission line calculation. The AWR microwave office tool is used to obtain characteristics of UWB LNA design with hybrid microwave integrated circuit(HMIC) technology. The 2-stage cascaded LNA design using negative image amplifier technique achieves average gain of 23 dB gain and low noise Figure of less than 2 dB with return loss less than-8 dB for UWB 3-10 GHz. The Proper bias circuit is extracted using DC characteristics of transistor at biasing point 2 V, 20 mA and discussed in detail with LNA layout. The negative image matching technique is applied for both input and output matching network. This work will be useful for all low power UWB wireless receiver applications.

The standard Gibbs free energy of formation of magnesium ferrite was determined by means of two types of solid state electrochemical cells： one using MgZr4（PO4）6 （MZP） as the solid electrolyte and the other using CaF2 as the solid electrolyte. The first cell was operated in the range of 950 to 1100 K. The second cell was operated in the range of 1125 to 1200 K. The reversibility of the cell EMFs was confirmed by microcoulometric titration. The Gibbs energy changes of magnesium ferrite relative to component oxides were calculated based on EMF measurements and are given by following expressions, respectively： AG1 = -3579-15 T （J/mol） and AGⅡ =6258-24.3 T （J/mol）. The results obtained from two different cells are consistent with each other. The results also are in agreement with Rao＇ s and Tretjakov＇s data in the measured temperature range. When the Gibbs free energies of formation of MgO and Fe203 were substituted in the reaction, the Gibbs free energies of formation of MgFe204 was obtained in two temperature ranges and the for mations are shown as follows： AG 1Formation =-1427394＋360.5 T （J/mol） and AGⅡ Formition =-1417557＋351.2 T （J/mol）.

This paper presents simulation study on Milled Grooved conformal cooling channels(MGCCC)in injection *** has a more effective cooling surface area which helps to provide efficient cooling as compared to conventional cooling.A case study of Encloser part is investigated for cycle time reduction and quality *** performance designs of straight drilled are compared with MGCCC by using Autodesk Moldflow Insight(AMI)*** results show total 32.1% reduction of cooling time and 9.86% reduction of warpage in case of MGCCC as compared to conventional cooling.
