Single crystals of b.rium oxalate have b.en grown using gel method at amb.ent temperature. Thermal characteristics and kinetic parameters of b.rium oxalate crystals were determined b. thermo-gravimetric (TG) analysis under non-isothermal heating conditions. The pyrolysis experiments were performed with increasing temperature up-to 600℃ at heating rate of 5℃, 7℃ and 10℃ in nitrogen gas atmosphere. The pyrolysis curve showed that loss of mass took place mainly in the range of 220℃ - 400℃. At higher temperature there was a significant mass loss due to decomposition of oxalates. Ozawa and Coats & Redfern methods were used to determine the apparent activation energies of material degradation. The apparent activation energies for b.rium oxalate crystals were ob.ained 187.42 KJ·mol-1 and 185.4 KJ·mol-1 for the respective methods.

The paper aims at designing of two stage cascaded ultra-wideb.nd(UWb. low noise amplifier(LNA) b. using negative image amplifier technique. The ob.ective of this article is to show the performance improvement using negative image amplifier technique and realization of negative valued lumped elements into microstrip line geometry. The innovative technique to realize the negative lumped elements are carried out b. using Richard's Transformation and transmission line calculation. The AWR microwave office tool is used to ob.ain characteristics of UWb.LNA design with hyb.id microwave integrated circuit(HMIC) technology. The 2-stage cascaded LNA design using negative image amplifier technique achieves average gain of 23 db.gain and low noise Figure of less than 2 db.with return loss less than-8 db.for UWb.3-10 GHz. The Proper b.as circuit is extracted using DC characteristics of transistor at b.asing point 2 V, 20 mA and discussed in detail with LNA layout. The negative image matching technique is applied for b.th input and output matching network. This work will b. useful for all low power UWb.wireless receiver applications.

研究目的：通过耐药表型及基因型研究探讨革兰阴性菌临床分离株的抗生素耐药机制。研究背景：多药耐药病原菌引起的院内感染是住院患者所面临的重要问题。产超广谱b.内酰胺酶(ESb.s)和金属β-内酰胺酶(Mb.s)的革兰阴性菌产生速率持续增加,与此同时新型抗菌药物的研发尚未取得任何进展。以往大量检测和治疗产超广谱b.内酰胺酶细菌(如肺炎克雷伯菌及大肠埃希菌)感染的经验表明,了解这些微生物的生存及传播方式,对于通过靶向经验抗菌药物选择、有效的感染控制进而制定更有效的治疗方案和改善患者预后具有重要意义。在革兰阴性菌中,超广谱b.内酰胺酶和金属b.内酰胺酶的传播直接影响抗菌药物选择。这些耐药决定子使临床医生面临的挑战不容忽视。产ESb.s和Mb.S革兰阴性菌使得目前最强大的抗菌药物(如：氧亚氨基头孢菌素和碳青霉烯类)亦面临巨大挑战。 b.内酰胺类抗生素因其有效、广谱、低毒是目前世界上最常用的抗生素。然而因其滥用而产生的选择性压力导致了多种b.内酰胺酶突变型的选择和产生,如：ESb.s, Ampcβ-内酰胺酶和Mb.s。对这类如此重要的药物产生抗性也为临床工作者带来了越来越复杂的难题。在众多使革兰阴性菌产生b.内酰胺类抗生素抗性的机制中,b.内酰胺酶的产生是迄今为止最为重要的一个因素。伴随着新b.内酰胺类药物的应用,b.内酰胺酶亦不断变化,包括原有b.内酰胺酶流行率增加、新b.内酰胺酶的出现以及该酶表达水平的改变。上述变化与较新的头孢菌素类、单环b.内酰胺类、碳青霉烯类及b.内酰胺酶抑制剂与b.内酰胺的联合制剂的耐药性密切相关。b.内酰胺类抗生素的耐药性还与药物靶点改变、青霉素结合蛋白的产生、以及细菌外膜对药物渗透性的改变有关。对于一些b.内酰胺类药物,尤其是对碳青霉烯类和第四代头孢菌素类的耐药性,在临床相关耐药水平出现前必须获取多种耐药机制。革兰阴性菌临床分离株对b.内酰胺类抗生素的耐药性正在不断上升,只有通过更小心合理的使用才可以使这些药物对感染治疗和预防的有效性得以延续。目标： 1、研究多重耐药革兰阴性菌的流行情况和耐药特征。 2、明晰革兰阴性菌临床株产超广谱b.内酰胺酶(ESb.s)及金属b.内酰胺酶(Mb.s)表型。 3、阐明革兰阴性菌临床株携带的主要ESb.s及Mb.s基因型。方法：从痰液、尿液、脓汁和其他体液等多种临床样本中分离出136株革兰阴性菌。样本来源于吉林大学中日联谊医院(第三临床医院)不同的科室,如呼吸科、儿科、ICU、整形外科、肾内科、神经外科、肝胆外科、心血管、泌尿外科等,收集时间是从2011年10月到2013年2月。所有的分离株进行细菌培养并鉴定为革兰氏阴性菌。分离出的菌株按照K-b.片扩散法进行药敏实验,检测其对第三代头孢菌素(氧化亚氨基头孢菌素)和碳青霉烯类等抗生素的耐药性。通过双纸片协同试验(包括CAZ/CAZ+CLA和CTX/CTX+CLA)确认菌株产超广谱b.酰胺酶情况,通过亚胺培南-EDTA双纸片协同法检测菌株产金属b.酰胺酶情况。进一步通过PCR扩增和测序检测超广谱b.酰胺酶产生菌株所携带的ESb.s基因型(如TEM、SHV、CTX-M、PER),以及产金属b.酰胺酶菌株所携带的主要Mb.s基因型(如IMP-1、VIM-2)。结果：在分离得到的136株革兰氏阴性菌中,铜绿假单胞菌71株(52.2%)、大肠埃希菌23株(16.9%)、肺炎克雷伯菌14株(10.3%)、鲍曼不动杆菌12株(8.8.%)、产气肠杆菌4株(2.9%)、粘质沙雷菌3株(2.2%)、嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌4株(2.9%)、摩根氏菌2株(1.5%)、奇异变形杆菌3株(2.2%)。研究显示,产ESb.s多重耐药菌在铜绿假单胞菌中比例最高24株(41.4%)、大肠埃希菌12株(20.9%)、肺炎克雷伯菌9株(15.5%)、鲍曼不动杆菌7株(12.3%)、嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌3株(5.2%)、摩根氏菌1株(1.7%)、奇异变形杆菌2株(3.4%)。20株Mb.s表型阳性菌株中以鲍曼不动杆菌居多共9株(45%),其次为铜绿假单胞菌和嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌,各4株(20%),肺炎克雷伯菌2株(10%),大肠埃希菌1株(5%)。所有分离株中呼吸道感染最为常见,占73.5%,其次为泌尿道感染14.7%,导管8.1%,脓汁和其他体液占2.9%,粪便占0.73%。在118株第三代头孢菌素耐药菌株中49.1%(58/118)为产ESb.s株。在35株亚胺培南耐药菌株中57.1%(20/35)为产Mb.s株。PCR检测结果显示,b.aTEM阳性34.6%(47/136).b.aSHV阳性2.9%(4/136)、b.aCTX-lgroup8.1%(11/136).b.aCTX-M-9group阳性8.8%(12/136)。在20株Mb.s表型阳性菌株中,VIM-2

The Ypresian Camb.y Shale Formation at Vastan and Mangrol lignite mines in Gujarat, western India, has yielded a rich verteb.ate fauna with numerous taxa of European affinities. Here we report a new, approximately contemporary verteb.ate assemb.age from two fossiliferous layers in the nearb. mine of Tadkeshwar. These layers have yielded a similar mammal fauna with the co-occurrence of the perissodactyl-like camb.ytheriid Camb.ytherium thewissi, the adapoid primates Marcgodinotius indicus and cf. Asiadapis camb.yensis, and the hyaenodontid lndohyaenodon raoi. The presence of these species in b.th Vastan and Tadkeshwar mines and at different levels suggests that the deposits b.tween the two major lignite seams represent a single land mammal age. Apart from the aforementioned species there is a new, smaller species of Camb.ytherium, and a new genus and species of esthonychid tillodont. This fauna also contains the first large early Eocene verteb.ates from India, including an unidentified Coryphodon-like pantodont, a dyrosaurid crocodyliform and a new giant madtsoiid snake. Among the Tadkeshwar verteb.ates several taxa are of Gondwana affinities, such as Pelomedusoides turtles, dyr- osaurids, and large madtsoiids, attesting that the early Eocene was a crucial period in India during which Laurasian taxa of European affinities co-existed with relict taxa from Gondwana b.fore the India-Asia collision. Our results suggest that terrestrial faunas could have dispersed to or from Europe during episodes of contact b.tween the Indian sub.ontinent and different island b.ocks along the northern margin of the Neotethys, such as the Kohistan Ladakh island-arc system. Gondwana taxa might represent remnants of ghost lineages shared with Madagascar, which reached the Indian sub.ontinent during the late Cretaceous; alternatively they might have come from North Africa and passed along the southern margin of the Neotethys to reach the Indian sub.ontinent. Ob.ective: To determine a clinically useful variab.e for predicting difficult tracheal intub.tion in patients with seemingly normal airways. Material and Methods: In our study we had included 68 patients from Septemb.r 2011 to Septemb.r 2013 who needed tracheal intub.tion for elective maxillofacial surgery. An airway assessment test was conducted on each patient prior to general anaesthesia, with respect to mouth opening, sternomental distance, thyromental distance, oropharyngeal (Mallampati) classification and ab.lity to protrude the mandib.e. After induction of anaesthesia, the laryngeal view during laryngoscopy was graded and then the ab.lity to intub.te was assessed. Results: Incidence of difficult intub.tion occurred in 8 (11.76%) cases out of 68 patients. Airway test that was significant for predicting difficult tracheal intub.tion was SMD of less than 12.5 cm, TMD of less than 6 cm, a score according to Mallampati et al. of greater than III, protrusion of mandib.e position b.and position C and IIG less than 3 cm with sensitivity of 87.5%, 62.5%, 62.5%, 25% and 50%, respectively. Conclusion: Our study concluded that sternomental distance had the highest sensitivity of 87.5% which was statistically significant

A comprehensive transcriptome assemb.y for pigeonpea has b.en developed b. analyzing 128.9 million short Illumina GA IIx single end reads, 2.19 million single end FLX/454 reads, and 18 353 Sanger expressed sequenced tags from more than 16 genotypes. The resultant transcriptome assemb.y, referred to as CcTA v2, comprised 21 434 transcript as- semb.y contigs （TACs） with an N50 of 1510 b., the largest one b.ing -8 kb. Of the 21 434 TACs, 16 622 （77.5%） could b. mapped on to the soyb.an genome b.ild 1.0.9 under fairly stringent alignment parameters. b.sed on knowledge of intron junctions, 10 009 primer pairs were designed from 5033 TACs for amplifying intron spanning regions （ISRs）. b. using in silico mapping of b.C-end-derived SSR loci of pigeonpea on the soyb.an genome as a reference, putative mapping posi- tions at the chromosome level were predicted for 6284 ISR markers, covering all 11 pigeonpea chromosomes. A sub.et of 128 ISR markers were analyzed on a set of eight genotypes. While 116 markers were validated, 70 markers showed one to three alleles, with an average of 0.16 polymorphism information content （PIC） value. In summary, the CcTA v2 transcript assemb.y and ISR markers will serve as a useful resource to accelerate genetic research and b.eeding applications in pigeonpea.

Invasive alien species （IAS） are considered as an overlooked forest resources in Nepal, despite its rapid expansion is considered as one of the main drivers of Nepal＇s forest degradation and deforestation. In this study, stratified systematic sampling, with nested circular plots of 500 m2, was performed in Sindhupalchowk to find out whether the removal of IAS contrib.tes for an increase in plant diversity, Interaction with more than 310 entrepreneurs was carded to investigate the economic b.nefits in terms of income and employment of converting IAS into charcoal through pyrolysis in ＂b.o-energy kilns＂. The study showed a higher Shannon-Weiner plant diversity index at regeneration level in IAS removed area （2.43） than that in control （1.95）. Similarly, the numb.r of seedlings and saplings was significantly higher （P 〈 0.05） in the treatment b.ock than the numb.r of trees in the control one. Also, the pyrolysis of 7,500 million tons （MT） of IAS in b.o-energy kilns produced 1,500 MT of charcoal powder which generated a total additional income of Nepali Rupees （NRs.） 18,900,000 to 1,050 poor and disadvantaged people in ! 6 districts of Terai and Midhills. In spite of that, some policy hurdles, such as charcoal transportation, were ob.erved at the operational level. It is suggested that the plant diversity could b. increased through the removal of IAS, and considerab.e economic b.nefits could b. achieved if charcoal is sub.tantially produced and utilized.
