Primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC) is a disease of the biliary tract, which has been documented in the literature since 1867. This disease has a strong predilection for affecting men and can be seen in individuals as young as 2 years of age. PSC has a strong associated with inflammatory bowel disease, more commonly with ulcerative colitis, and is also part of the clinical spectrum of Ig G4-related diseases. Smallduct PSC, a variant of PSC, also has an association with inflammatory bowel disease. The exact pathogenesis of PSC is not well understood at present, however, is likely a combination of a genetic predisposition with alteration of the molecular structure of the gut. Abnormal serum liver chemistry and presence of certain autoimmune markers are usually the first indicators leading to a diagnosis of PCS, however, these may often be normal in early stages of this disease. The diagnosis is made by cholangiography, which is now considered the gold standard. PSC is a known pre-malignant condition. Such patients have an increased risk of developing cholangiocarcinoma, gallbladder neoplasia, and colon cancer. many new treatment modalities have emerged in the recent past, including anti-tumor necrosis factor-α and anti-integrins; however, liver transplantation is the only known cure for PSC. Despite past and present research, PSC remains an enigmatic biliary disease with few viable treatment options.

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is well known to be associated with the development of precancerous lesions such as chronic atrophic gastritis (AG), or gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIm), and cancer. Various molecular alterations are identified not only in gastric cancer (GC) but also in precancerous lesions. H. pylori treatment seems to improve AG and GIm, but still remains controversial. In contrast, many studies, including meta-analysis, show that H. pylori eradication reduces GC. molecular markers detected by genetic and epigenetic alterations related to carcinogenesis reverse following H. pylori eradication. This indicates that these changes may be an important factor in the identification of high risk patients for cancer development. Patients who underwent endoscopic treatment of GC are at high risk for development of metachronous GC. A randomized controlled trial from Japan concluded that prophylactic eradication of H. pylori after endoscopic resection should be used to prevent the development of metachronous GC, but recent retrospective studies did not show the tendency. Patients with precancerous lesions (molecular alterations) that do not reverse after H. pylori treatment, represent the “point of no return” and may be at high risk for the development of GC. Therefore, earlier H. pylori eradication should be considered for preventing GC development prior to the appearance of precancerous lesions.

AIm:To assess whether in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients with ileo-rectal anastomosis (IRA), ileal lesions may develop in the neo-terminal-ileum and their possible relation with phenotypic changes towards colonic epithelium. mETHODS: A total of 19 patients with IRA under regular follow up were enrolled, including 11 UC and 8 controls (6 Crohn’s disease, CD; 1 familial adenomatous polyposis, FAP; 1 colon cancer, colon K). Ileal lesions were identifi ed by ileoscopy with biopsies taken from the ileum (involved and uninvolved) and from the rectal stump. Staining included HE and immunohistochemistry using monoclonal antibodies against colonic epithelial protein CEP (das-1) and human tropomyosin isoform 5, hTm5 (CG3). Possible relation between development of colonic metaplasia and ileal lesions was ***: Stenosing adenocarcinoma of the rectal stump was detected in 1 UC patient. The neo-terminal ileum was therefore investigated in 10/11 UC patients. Ileal ulcers were detected in 7/10 UC, associated with colonic metaplasia in 4/7 (57.1%) and das-1 and CG3 reactivity in 3/4 UC. In controls, recurrence occurred in 4/6 CD, associated with colonic metaplasia in 3/4 and reactivity with das-1 and CG3 in 2/3. CONCLUSION: Present fi ndings suggest that in UC, ileal lesions associated with changes towards colonic epithelium may develop also after IRA. Changes of the ileal content after colectomy may contribute to the development of colonic metaplasia, leading to ileal lesions both in the pouch and in the neo-terminal ileum after IRA.

We present the combined BVI multicolor photometric solutions of seven EW variables in the old open cluster Berkeley 39. The observations were carried out in the B and V passbands from the 2 m telescope at the IUCAA-Girawali Observatory in India. The analysis is done using the 2003 version of the Wilson-Devinney code and the fitted light curves are presented. The light curves appear to be symmetric in all the passbands. The photometric solutions suggest that the variables are W-type systems. The new ephemeris indicates that the orbital periods of the studied variables have not changed during the timespan of observations. Revised orbital period, absolute mass, radius and luminosity of the respective variables are presented. The absolute physical parameters of the variables follow the trend of field EW stars. Comparing the results obtained with the other theoretical works, we suggest that there is an excess loss of mass and angular momentum in these systems which may be due to their short period and relatively young age, possibly due to the presence of a third component or the initial detached period being less than 2 d.

Two austenitic mn steels(Fe-17 mn and Fe-17 mn-3 Al(wt%, so as the follows)) were subjected to thermomechanical processing(TmP) consisting of forging followed by solutionization and hot rolling. The rolled samples were annealed at 650 and 800°C to relieve the internal stress and to induce recrystallization. The application of TmP and heat treatment to the Fe-17 mn/Fe-17 mn-3 Al steels refined the austenite grain size from 169 μm in the as-solutionized state to 9–13 μm, resulting in a substantial increase in hardness from HV 213 to HV 410 for the Fe-17 mn steel and from HV 210 to HV 387 for the Fe-17 mn-3 Al steel. The elastic modulus values, as evaluated by the nanoindentation technique, increased from(175 ± 11) to(220 ± 12) GPa and from(163 ± 15) to(205 ± 13) GPa for the Fe-17 mn and Fe-17 mn-3 Al steels, respectively. The impact energy of the thermomechanically processed austenitic mn steels was lower than that of the steels in their as-solutionized state. The addition of Al to the Fe-17 mn steel decreased the hardness and elastic modulus but increased the impact energy.

The increasing rate of private car usage in the urban areas as a result of fast-growing economy,derelict policies and subsidies are the main causes making car parking one of the main concerns for transport and traffic management all over the *** coordination between parking policies and traffic management revealed how parking is becoming a barrier to the through-traffic ***,it is responsible for the inefficient use of available resources,even the decisions are made on an ad-hoc basis while making ***,it is necessary to understand the parking choice behaviour and actual demand of parking *** the last three decades,ample studies have been done to evaluate parking characteristics,to estimate the demand for parking and on driver’s behaviour while choosing the parking *** paper integrates all these aspects and presents the state-of-the-art review of models and studies on the parking *** related to and due to the parking,various parking characteristics and their applications,parking choice behaviour of drivers,development of demand models considering various factors and review of parking policies as an integral part of the urban transport system are discussed in *** underdeveloped,authors found the literatures suggest that greater attention should be given to metrics like ease of access,walk time,parking charges,parking guidance and information system,management,etc.,at all stages of planning and policy *** together,mentioned studies demonstrate useful information concerning the entire parking *** also provides useful information to the planners and policy makers for planning,designing and evaluating parking system.

Cu-graphene(Gr)composite thin films were prepared by electrodeposition route using in-house synthesized Gr *** Gr sheets were synthesized by the electrochemical exfoliation route using 1 m HClO4 acid as *** Gr sheets were confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm),and transmission electron microscopy(TEm).The(002)plane of Gr sheets was observed at 2θof 25.66°.The(002)plane confirmed the crystal structure of car-bon *** stretching vibration of C=C bond at a wavelength of 1577 cm^(−1) and other functional groups of carboxyl and epoxide groups were observed from *** confirmed the transparent structure of Gr *** prepared Gr sheets were used as reinforcement at con-centrations of 0.1 and 0.3 g/L with a copper matrix to synthesize the Cu-Gr *** prepared composite thin films were characterized by XRD,SEm,and energy-dispersion spectrometry(EDS)for morphological and analytical *** presence of Gr sheets in Cu-Gr com-posite was confirmed by EDS *** prepared Cu-Gr nanocomposite thin film showed higher corrosion resistance compared with pure copper thin films in 3.5wt%NaCl,as confirmed by Tafel *** impedance spectroscopy complimented the above results and showed that 0.3 g/L composite film achieved the highest film resistance.

Fasiakhali Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area composed of tropical remnant rainforest that harbor substantial number of large,old Garjan（Dipterocarpus spp.）*** present study assessed composition,structure and diversity of the species in this protected area.A total of 32 trees species were recorded with DBH ≥ 11 cm belonging to 24 genera and 19 *** forest is low in plant diversity as represented by Shannon–Wiener diversity and Simpson Dominance *** turbinatus was the most dominant species with maximum relative density,frequency,dominance,and importance value *** firmum and Tectona grandis followed in terms of *** structural composition indicated higher number of individuals in the medium growth classes（41 to 〈 511 cm DBH and 16–20 m height ranges）,whereas *** was the only species that dominated most of the growth *** stem density in lower growth classes indicated meager recruitment of regeneration which may be due to lower annual precipitation,increased grazing and *** study will help to understand the patterns of tree species composition and diversity in the remnant dipterocarp forests of *** will also contribute to identifying threatened plants to undertake *** based conservation and sustainable management of the Fasiakhali Wildlife Sanctuary.
