This study examines the rate of female answers to conspecific versus heterospecific male vibratory calls in three,closely related stonefly species:Zwicknia bifrons,***,and *** a previous study those three species were recognized on the basis of their distinct male drumming calls along with differences in genital morphology and genetic *** this study no-choice playback experiments using original male call samples from each species were performed,and the answer rate of females to con・specific and heterospecific signal variants was *** effect logistic regression models were used to test if male call species identity had a statistically significant effect on female answer *** answered conspecific male calls with significantly higher probability than heterospecific calls in all the three examined species,suggesting that the divergence of vibrational communication can be an important component of the prezygotic isolation between ***,but well detectable responsiveness to heterospecific calls was observable between *** and ***,the two species closest to each other regarding mitochondrial genetic divergence and male call pattern ***,our results are most congruent with a tight,gradual coevolution of male calls and female preferences.

Objective:The objective of this study was to determine the level of methotrexate(MTX)toxicity in the intestines of mice and to evaluate the protective effect of probiotics composed of Streptococcus,Bifidobacterium,and Lactobacillus species on intestinal cells during MTX ***:Mice were divided into three groups:control,MTX group(received MTX injections),and MTX+probiotics group(received MTX injections along with a diet containing probiotics).Morphological and histological changes,the level of mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)damage,the level of lipid peroxidation products,and gene expression in the mice’s small intestine were ***:We demonstrated that intraperitoneal MTX injections significantly increased mtDNA damage in the liver(p<0.001),small intestine(p<0.001),and blood of mice(p<0.01).MTX elevated the quantity of lipid peroxidation products in the liver and small intestine,indicating its strong prooxidative *** induced structural changes in the mice’s intestines,characterized by leukocytic infiltration of *** therapy in mice partially mitigated the morphological and histological changes in the small intestine induced by MTX,reduced oxidative stress,and promoted increased expression of quinone oxidoreductase 1(Nqo1),which participates in both cell protection against oxidative stress and drug/xenobiotic *** prevented the upregulation of the proinflammatory cytokine IL-1b in the small intestine and induced increased expression of genes associated with the Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2/Antioxidant response element(Nrf2/ARE)pathway,an important mechanism of cell ***:Probiotics can be considered an effective approach to reducing the toxicity of MTX during psoriasis or cancer treatment.

This paper presents a new architecture of a graphics system for microkernel operating systems,including real-time operating *** following major parts of the architecture are presented:a user-level subsystem responsible for interaction with user applications;a bottom-level subsystem providing the functionality for graphics drivers,such as managing graphics output,video memory management,etc.;a kernel-level subsystem providing interaction with the kernel,and performing low-level operations,such as working with physical memory,processes,*** mechanisms of interaction of user applications with the user level of the graphics system,as well as interaction of the different levels of the graphics subsystem are *** paper pays much attention to various approaches to testing:the use of unit testing,testing using hardware and software *** important characteristic of a graphics system is its performance,in particular the performance of low-level operations such as memory allocation:the developed architecture suggests using a separate memory allocator which is faster than standard memory allocation *** of the performances of graphics system implementation for microkernel real-time operating system and graphics server Xorg is presented,showing significant superiority of the proposed architecture in a number of work scenarios.

Register allocation is a major step for all compilers. Various register allocation algorithms have been developed over the dec- ades. This work describes a new class of rapid register allocation algorithms and presents experimental data on their behavior. Our re- search encourages the avoidance of graphing and graph-coloring based on the fact that precise graph-coloring is nondeterministic poly- nomial time-complete （NP-complete）, which is not suitable for real-time tasks. In addition, practical graph-coloring algorithms tend to use polynomial-time heuristics. In dynamic compilation environments, their super linear complexity makes them unsuitable for register allocation and code generation. Existing tools for code generation and register allocation do not completely fulfill the requirements of fast compilation. Existing approaches either do not allow for the optimization of register allocation to be achieved comprehensively with a sufficient degree of performance or they require an unjustifiable amount of time and/or resources. Therefore, we propose a new class of register allocation and code generation algorithms that can be performed in linear time. These algorithms are based on the mathematic- al foundations of abstract interpretation and the computation of the level of abstraction. They have been implemented in a specialized library for just-in-time compilation. The specialization of this library involves the execution of common intermediate language （CIL） and low level virtual machine （LLVM） with a focus on embedded systems.

We discuss the recent advances in meta-optics and nanophotonics associated with the physics of bound states in the continuum(BICs). Such resonant states appear due to a strong coupling between leaky modes in optical guiding structures being supported by subwavelength high-index dielectric Mieresonant nanoantennas or all-dielectric metasurfaces. First, we review briefly very recent developments in the BIC physics in application to isolated subwavelength particles. We pay a special attention to novel opportunities for nonlinear nanophotonics due to the large field enhancement inside the particle volume creating the resonant states with high-quality(high-Q) factors, the so-called quasi-BIC, that can be supported by the subwavelength particles. Second, we discuss novel applications of the BIC physics to alldielectric optical metasurfaces with broken-symmetry meta-atoms when tuning to the BIC conditions allows to enhance substantially the Q factor of the flat-optics dielectric structures. We also present the original results on nonlinear high-Q metasurfaces and predict that the frequency conversion efficiency can be boosted dramatically by smart engineering of the asymmetry parameter of dielectric metasurfaces in the vicinity of the quasi-BIC regime.

Simulations of blood flows in arteries require numerical solutions of fluidstructure interactions involving Navier-Stokes equations coupled with large displacement visco-elasticity for the *** the various simplifications which have been proposed, the surface pressure model leads to a hierarchy of simpler models including one that involves only the pressure. The model exhibits fundamental frequencies which can be computed and compared with the pulse. Yet unconditionally stable time discretizations can be constructed by combining implicit time schemes with Galerkin-characteristic discretization of the convection terms in the Navier-Stokes equations. Such problems with prescribed pressure on the walls will be shown to be efficient and accurate as an approximation of the full fluid structure interaction problem.

Swarms of self-organizing bots are becoming important elements in various technical systems,which include the control of bacterial cyborgs in biomedical applications,technologies for creating new metamaterials with internal structure,self-assembly processes of complex supramolecular structures in disordered media,*** this work,we theoretically study the effect of sudden fluidization of a dense group of bots,each of which is a source of heat and follows a simple algorithm to move in the direction of the gradient of the global temperature *** show that,under certain conditions,an aggregate of self-propelled bots can fluidize,which leads to a second-order phase *** bots’program,which forces them to search for the temperature field maximum,acts as an effective buoyancy *** a consequence,one can observe a sudden macroscopic circulation of bots from the edge of the group to its center and back again,which resembles classical Rayleigh-Benard thermal *** the continuum approximation,we have developed a mathematical model of the phenomenon,which reduces to the equation of a self-gravitating porous disk saturated with an incompressible fluid that generates *** derive governing equations in the Darcy-Boussinesq approximation and formulate a nonlinear boundary value *** exact solution to the linearized problem for infinitesimal perturbations of the base state is obtained,and the critical values of the control parameter for the onset of the bot circulation are *** we apply weakly nonlinear analysis using the method of multiple time *** found that as the number of bots increases,the swarm exhibits increasingly complex patterns of circulation.

In this paper we study a numerical method for the simulation of free surface flows of viscoplastic （Herschel-Bulkley） fluids. The approach is based on the level set method for capturing the free surface evolution and on locally refined and dynamically adapted octree cartesian staggered grids for the discretization of fluid and level set equations. A regu- larized model is applied to handle the non-differentiability of the constitutive relations. We consider an extension of the stable approximation of the Newtonian flow equations on staggered grid to approximate the viscoplastic model and level-set equations if the free boundary evolves and the mesh is dynamically refined or coarsened. The numerical method is first validated for a Newtonian case. In this case, the convergence of numerical solutions is observed towards experimental data when the mesh is refined. Further we compute several 3D viscoplastic Herschel-Bulkley fluid flows over incline planes for the dam-break problem. The qualitative comparison of numerical solutions is done versus experimental investigations. Another numerical example is given by computing the freely oscillating viscoplastic droplet, where the motion of fluid is driven by the surface tension forces. Altogether the considered techniques and algorithms （the level-set method, compact discretizations on dynamically adapted octree cartesian grids, regularization, and the surface tension forces approximation） result in efficient approach to modeling viscoplastic free-surface flows in possibly complex 3D geometries.
