The antioxidative,antimicrobial,and anti-inflammatory properties of fermented sheep milk with *** (KGL4),as well as the generation of antioxidative and antimicrobial peptides,are evaluated in the *** and antibacterial activities in sheep milk fermented with KGL4 increased with incubation hours,along with varied antioxidative properties (ABTS assay:35.12%,hydroxyl free radical scavenging assay:29.12%,superoxide free radical scavenging activity:36.38%).Antimicrobial activity of fermented sheep milk against *** (19 mm),*** (15.67 mm),*** (14 mm),and *** (13 mm) was also ***,after 48 h,the KGL4 showed maximum proteolysis (10.40 mg/ml) at 2.5% rate of addition sheep *** antioxidative and antimicrobial activities of fermented sheep milk fractions (3 kda and 10 kda permeates and retentates) were also *** highest ABTS activity (26.90%) was found in 10 kda permeate,whereas the 3 kda retentate had higher hydroxyl free radical scavenging activity (69.20%) and 3 kda permeate showed maximum superoxide free radical scavenging activity (32.85%).The 10 kda retentate had shown maximum antimicrobial activity against *** (13.67 mm) and *** (17.00 mm).Proteins spotted on 2d gel electrophoresis of KGL4 were varied from 10 to 70 ***-LC/MS was used to identify 5 novel peptide sequences from 2-d gel *** in the BIOPEP database confirmed the antioxidative and antimicrobial effects of the novel fermented sheep milk *** sheep milk with KGL4 (SMKGL4) significantly reduced excessive TNF-α,IL-6,& IL-1β production in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells.

Assessment of quality control system by sigma metrics and quality goal index ratio: A roadmap towards preparation for NABL

AIM To study sigma metrics and quality goal index ratio(QGI). METHOdS The retrospective study was conducted at the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory, PGIMS, Rohtak, which recently became a National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories accredited lab as per the International Organization for Standardization 15189:2012 and provides service to a > 1700-bed tertiary care hospital. data of 16 analytes was extracted over a period of one year from January 2017 to december 2017 for calculation of precision, accuracy, sigma metrics, total error, and QGI. RESULTS The average coefficient of variation ranged from 2.12%(albumin) to 5.42%(creatinine) for level 2 internal quality control and 2%(albumin) to 3.62%(high density lipoprotein-cholesterol) for level 3 internal quality control. Average coefficient of variation of all the parameters was below 5%, reflecting very good precision. The sigma metrics for level 2 indicated that 11(68.5%) of the 16 parameters fall short of meeting Six Sigma quality performance. Of these, five failed to meet minimum sigma quality performance with metrics less than 3, and another six just met minimal acceptable performance with sigma metrics between 3 and 6. For level 3, the data collected indicated eight(50%) of the parameters did not achieve Six Sigma quality performance, out of which three had metrics less than 3, and five had metrics between 3 and 6. QGI ratio indicated that the main problem was inaccuracy in the case of total cholesterol, aspartate transaminase, and alanine transaminase(QGI > 1.2), imprecision in the case of urea(QGI d both imprecision and inaccuracy for *** On the basis of sigma metrics and QGI, it may be concluded that the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory, PGIMS, Rohtak was able to achieve satisfactory results with world class performance for many analytes one year preceding the accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories. Enhanced 3d Point Cloud Reconstruction for Light Field Microscopy Using U-Net-Based Convolutional Neural Networks

This article describes a novel approach for enhancing the three-dimensional(3d)point cloud reconstruction for light field microscopy(LFM)using U-net architecture-based fully convolutional neural network(CNN).Since the directional view of the LFM is limited,noise and artifacts make it difficult to reconstruct the exact shape of 3d point *** existing methods suffer from these problems due to the self-occlusion of the *** manuscript proposes a deep fusion learning(dL)method that combines a 3d CNN with a U-Net-based model as a feature *** sub-aperture images obtained from the light field microscopy are aligned to form a light field data cube for preprocessing.A multi-stream 3d CNNs and U-net architecture are applied to obtain the depth feature fromthe directional sub-aperture LF data *** the enhancement of the depthmap,dual iteration-based weighted median filtering(WMF)is used to reduce surface noise and enhance the accuracy of the *** a 3d point cloud involves combining two key elements:the enhanced depth map and the central view of the light field *** proposed method is validated using synthesized Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing(HCI)and real-world LFM *** results are compared with different state-of-the-art *** structural similarity index(SSIM)gain for boxes,cotton,pillow,and pens are 0.9760,0.9806,0.9940,and 0.9907,***,the discrete entropy(dE)value for LFM depth maps exhibited better performance than other existing methods.

The Metal Matrix Composites application has increased in many areas of science and technology, because of its additional physical, wear and mechanical properties. In comparison with all MMC’s, aluminum-based MMC’s are finding wide applications due to their better strength to weight ratio, better stiffness, and high thermal conductivity as well as very good wear and corrosion properties. The properties of a composite mainly depend on better distribution of reinforcement in the matrix, which is very difficult to achieve. Basically Redmud is a byproduct of alumina, and it is waste product obtained during Bayer’s process. This waste product must be recycled else it may be dangerous to the environment. Redmud can be used as reinforcement for aluminium composites in order to achieve better properties. The proposed research work includes preparation of Aluminum 6061-Red mud metal matrix composites using liquid metallurgy route following stir casting technique. An alloy Al6061 containing 0.60 percent silicon and Magnesium of 0.82 percent was used as the matrix material. Two different compositions of the Aluminum 6061-Red mud composites are prepared in addition to the base matrix and evaluated for mechanical properties also the force acting on the cutting tool at different spindle speeds during machining of the composite materials were analyzed.

Flow diagnosis and Optimization Based on Vorticity dynamics for Transonic Compressor/Fan Rotor

This paper presents two optimized rotors. The first rotor is as part of a 3-blade row optimization (IGV-rotor-stator) of a high-pressure compressor. It is based on modifying blade angles and advanced control of curvature of the airfoil camber line. The effects of these advanced blade techniques on the performance of the transonic 1.5-stage compressor were calculated using a 3d Navier-Stokes solver combined with a vortex/vorticity dynamics diagnosis method. The first optimized rotor produces a 3-blade row efficiency improvement over the baseline of 1.45% while also improving stall margin. The throttling range of the compressor is expanded largely because the shock in the rotor tip area is further downstream than that in the baseline case at the operating point. Additionally, optimizing the 3-blade row block while only adjusting the rotor geometry ensures good matching of flow angles allowing the compressor to have more range. The flow diagnostics of the rotor blade based on vortex/vorticity dynamics indicate that the boundary-layer separation behind the shock is verified by on-wall signatures of vorticity and skin-friction vector lines. In addition, azimuthal vorticity and boundary vorticity flux (BVF) are shown to be two vital flow parameters of compressor aerodynamic performance that directly relate to the improved performance of the optimized transonic compressor blade. A second rotor-only optimization is also presented for a 2.9 pressure ratio transonic fan. The objective function is the axial moment based on the BVF. An 88.5% efficiency rotor is produced.
