Dielectric breakdown is a well documented phenomenon studied for logic transistors using SiO2/SiON and HfO2 as the oxide material with thickness ranging from 1-5 nm. Recovery of dielectric breakdown has also been reported recently and its implications on the prolonged time dependent dielectric breakdown（TDDB）lifetime are very ***,in the non-volatile memory arena,orders of magnitude change in conductance of the oxide has been observed for different voltage levels, voltage polarities and current densities,which is commonly referred to as"resistive switching". Interestingly,although the gate stacks used for logic and memory applications are very similar in the materials used and dimensions as well,the mechanisms postulated to explain the breakdown-recovery mechanism in logic and switching mechanism in memory are very different. Often,the mechanism underlying switching tends to be very speculative without any convincing physical and electrical evidence that confirms the underlying kinetics of the reversible conductance state transition process. The issue stems from the fact that researchers in logic and memory operate in two distinct domains and seldom interact with each other and as a result,the link between the devices used for these two applications is not clearly recognized by most *** this study,we will bridge the gap between these two phenomena and take advantage of our understanding of dielectric breakdown and recovery to convincingly explain the fundamental physics governing the switching process.

Background: Patients commonly develop postoperative pain after total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Acupuncture-related techniques and low-level laser therapy could be beneficial for pain management for older ***: To examine the effect of low-level laser acupuncture(LA) in reducing postoperative pain, painrelated interference in daily life, morphine consumption, and morphine-related side effects in older patients with knee osteoarthritis who underwent ***, setting, participants and intervention: A single-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial was conducted. Patients(N = 82) were recruited and randomly assigned via a computer-generated list to the LA group or a placebo group. The LA group received low-level laser therapy at Sanyinjiao(SP6), Taixi(KI3),Kunlun(BL60), Fengshi(GB31), Futu(ST32) and Neiguan(PC6) after TKA, while the placebo acupuncture group received the same treatment procedure without laser energy *** outcome measures: The primary outcome was postoperative pain intensity, and it was measured at baseline and hours 2, 6, 10, 24, 48 and 72 after TKA. The secondary outcomes, including relative pain,postoperative pain-related interference in daily life and morphine consumption, were measured at hours24, 48 and 72 after ***: Generalized estimating equations revealed significant between-group differences in pain intensity(P = 0.01), and trend differences in pain intensity for the LA group starting at hours 10 to 72(P < 0.05)and morphine consumption at hours 48 and 72(P < 0.05). The changes in pain-related interference in daily life were significant(P < 0.05) at 72 h, with the exception of the parameters for worst pain, mood,and sleep. Nausea and vomiting side effects from morphine had significant between-group differences at hours 10 and 24(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Low-level LA gradually reduced older patients’ postoperative pain intensity and morphine consumption within the first 72 h after their TKA for osteoarthritis. This study assessed air quality indicators before and after enactment of the Spanish anti-smoking law. Mass and number concentrations and the chemical composition of particles were evaluated. Microscopy analyses were also conducted. Real time concentrations of PMlo, PM2.s, PM1 and ultrafine particles were measured under ventilated and non-ventilated conditions and PMlo samples were collected for detailed inorganic and organic chemical characterization. Before enactment of the law in 2010, tobacco smoke produced significant indoor ambient particulate matter pollution, with elevated particulate matter mass concentrations （PM10 and PM1 concentrations of 122-220 and 48-85 Dg/m3, respectively） and ultrafine particle numbers （75,000 and 48,000 cm ~ under ventilated and non-ventilated conditions, respectively）. Typical tobacco smoke tracers including iso- and anteiso-alkanes and elements including La and Ce from the ignition of lighters were abundant. Additionally, several toxic substances derived from tobacco smoke, including Cd （3.1 ng/m3） and benzo[a]pyrene （1.0 ng/m3） were present at concentrations approximately 10 times greater than those measured after enactment of the anti-smoking law. The anti-smoking law sig- nificantly reduced exposure to potentially toxic compounds by approximately 90%. This law is expected to have a positive health impact, particularly for people who spend considerable time in affected envi- ronments, such as employees.

Modern use of Chinese herbal formulae from Shang-Han Lun

Background The Chinese medical archive, Shang-Han Lun, is said to be written by ZHANG Zhong-jing （150-219 A.D.） This great influential work introduced the specific symptoms of six-channel disorders （Tai-Yang, Yang-Ming, Shao-Yang, Tai-Yin, Shao-Yin, and Jue-Yin） and their corresponding treatments, the combined syndromes, deterioration due to malpractice, and the concept of six-channel transitions. The concept of Shang-Han Lun is widely accepted by Chinese herbal doctors. However, no clinical data about Shang-Han symptoms are described in oriental or western medical reports. Methods The clinical prescription data of traditional Chinese medicine visits were extracted under the National Health Insurance in Taiwan. The application rate of 42 Shang-Han formulae in clinical practice was analyzed in detail with the software SPSS. Results Between 1999 and 2002, the prescription rate of Shang-Han formula was only 5.22% among a total of 528 889 576 Chinese herbal formula prescriptions. The most frequently used formula was Tai-Yang formulae （71.31%）, followed by Shao-Yang formulae （17.49%） and the most commonly prescribed individual Shang-Han formulae were Ge-Gen Tang （16.11%）, Shao-Yao-Gan-Cao Tang （12.97%）, Xiao-Qing-Long Tang （11.79%）, Ban-Xia Xie-Xin Tang （10.24%）, and Xiao-Chai-Hu Tang （9.11%）, which comprised 60.22% of the utilization rate of total Shang-Han formulae. Conclusions From the prescription patterns of Shang-Han formulae, there was no evidence of transitions among the six channels. Despite the fundamental role of Shang-Han Lun in traditional Chinese medicine, prescription of Shang-Han formulae was limited in clinical practice.

This study aimed to assess the inhibitory activities of methanol extracts from the microalgae Ankistrodesmus convolutus,Synechococcus elongatus,and Spirulina platensis against Epstein-Barr virus(EBV) in three Burkitt's lymphoma(BL) cell lines,namely Akata,B95-8,and *** antiviral activity was assessed by quantifying the cell-free EBV DNA using real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) *** methanol extracts from Ankistrodesmus convolutus and Synechococcus elongatus displayed low cytotoxicity and potent effect in re-ducing cell-free EBV DNA(EC5028 000).After fractionation by column chromatography,the fraction from Synechococcus elongatus(SEF1) reduced the cell-free EBV DNA most effectively(EC50=2.9 μg/ml,therapeutic index>69).Upon further fractionation by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),the sub-fraction SEF1'a was most active in reducing the cell-free EBV DNA(EC50=1.38 μg/ml,therapeutic index>14.5).This study suggests that microalgae could be a potential source of antiviral compounds that can be used against EBV.

近期台湾几部指标性之大众市场效应电影如《海角七号》(2008)、《艋舺》(2010)等,全面带动观众支持台湾电影的风潮,形成台湾电影复苏的新样貌。通过运用数据指针可以概括描绘台湾电影市场的供给现状,观察当前台湾电影制作与美商发行体系的链结、金融资本挹注与跨界合拍电影的实践样态,从而阐明近十年来台湾电影产值结构的变化,如何牵动了制作、发行、映演等产业炼的发展。台湾电影产业的再次起飞,实际上并不脱离近期全球重视文化经济的潮流。艺术与产业之间存在着结构性难题,台湾电影产业虽然由隐然其后的一股文化经济论述力量所主导,但是电影作为一项文化商品,其经济价值乃建立在文化价值之上。台湾电影固有人文价值与美学思辨的迫切与重要性,将成为台湾电影产业前景及新趋向发展中必须面对的课题。
