Photoproduction of the Θ^+ and its vector andaxial-vector structure

We present recent investigations on the vector and axial-vector transitions of the baryon antidecuplet within the framework of the self-consistent SU（3） ch.ral quark-soliton model, taking into account the 1/no rotational and linear mscorrections. The main contribution to the electric-like transition form factor comes from the wave-function corrections. This is a consequence of the generalized Ademollo-Gatto theorem. It is also found that in general the leading-order contributions are almost canceled by the rotational 1/no corrections. The results are summarized as follows： the vector and tensor K＇nO coupling constants, gK＊n= 0.74--0.87 and fk＊n =0.53--1.16, respectively, and F→Kn = 0.71 MeV, based on the result of the Kn coupling constant gKne =0.83. We also show the differential cross sections and beam asymmetries, based on the present results. We also discuss the connection of present results with the original work by Diakonov, Petrov, and Polyakov.

The study of exotic structure of hadrons is fully ach.eved when reaction dynamics of the associated hadron productions is well understood. We employ as the standard mech.nism the effective Lagrangian method and investigate several physical observables within the framework. The parameters are constrained by microscopic description of hadrons. We discuss photoproductions of kaon associated with the ground state A（1116） and its resonances A（1405） and A（1520）. In the former example we emphasize the meson cloud effect which.significantly renormalizes the phenomenological parameters, while in the latter we discuss the features of the standard method. Finally we discuss briefly the n（1535） for the study of ch.ral symmetry of baryons. production of ηπ associated with the nucleon resonance

In many engineering applications such.as mining,geotech.ical and petroleum industries,drilling operation is widely *** drilling operation produces sound by-product,which.could be helpful for preliminary estimation of the rock ***,determination of rock properties is very difficult by the conventional methods in terms of high accuracy,and thus it is expensive and *** this context,a new tech.ique was developed based on the estimation of rock properties using dominant frequencies from sound pressure level generated during diamond core drilling ***,sound pressure level was recorded and sound signals of these sound frequencies were analyzed using fast Fourier transform (FFT).Rock drilling experiments were performed on five different types of rock samples using computer numerical control (CnC) drilling mach.ne BMV 45 *** simple linear regression analysis,mathematical equations were developed for various rock properties,*** compressive strength,Brazilian tensile strength,density,and dominant frequencies of sound pressure *** developed models can be utilized at early stage of design to predict rock properties.

This study performs a numerical analysis of three-dimensional liquid metal(LM) magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) flows in a square duct with an FCI in a non-uniform magnetic field. The current study predicts detailed information on flow velocity, Lorentz force, pressure, current and electric potential of MHD duct flows for different Hartmann numbers. Also, the effect of the electric conductivity of FCI on the pressure drop along the main flow direction in a non-uniform magnetic field is examined. The present study investigates the features of LM MHD flows in consideration of the interdependency among the flow variables.

The present study focused on the hydroch.mistry of groundwater in parts of ch.ndauli-Varanasi region to assess the quality of groundwater for determining its suitability for drinking and agricultural purposes. Urbanization and agriculture activities have a lot of impacts on the groundwater quality of the study area. A total of 70 ground water samples were collected randomly from different sources viz. hand pump, dug wells and bore wells, and analyzed for major cations and anions. The domination of cations and anions was in the order of na > Ca > Mg > K and HCO3 > Cl > SO4 > nO3 > F. The Piper classification for hydrogeoch.mical facies indicates that alkaline earth exceeds alkalis and weak acids exceed strong acid. Water quality index rating was calculated to quantify overall water quality for human consumption. Out of 70 groundwater samples, 7% and 10% samples exhibit water unsuitable for drinking purposes in pre- and post-monsoon, respectively, due to effective leach.ng of ions, direct disch.rge of domestic effluents and agricultural activities. Residual sodium carbonate values revealed that 6% sample is not suitable for irrigation purposes in both the seasons due to low permeability of the soil. The calculated values of PI indicate that the water for irrigation uses is excellent to good quality in both seasons. As per Wilcox’s diagram and US salinity laboratory classification, most of the groundwater samples are suitable for irrigation except one sample which.is unsuitable for irrigation purposes. The overall quality of groundwater in post-monsoon season in all ch.mical constituents is on the higher side due to dissolution of surface pollutants during the infiltration and percolation of rainwater at few places due to agricultural and domestic activities.

Glacial lake outburst floods(GLOFs)represent one of the most serious hazard and risk in deglaciating high mountain regions worldwide and the need for GLOF hazard and risk assessment is *** a consequence,numerous region-and nation-wide GLOF assessment studies have been published *** studies cover large areas and consider hundreds to thousands of lakes,prioritizing the hazard posed by ***,certain simplification is required for executing such.studies,often resulting in neglecting qualitative ch.racteristics which.would need manual *** lake dam types(e.g.,bedrock-dammed,moraine-dammed)are often not distinguished,despite they control GLOF mech.nism(dam overtopping/dam breach.and thus GLOF *** this study,we explore the potential of easily measurable quantitative ch.racteristics and four ratios to approximate the lake dam *** dataset of 851 lakes of the Cordillera Blanca suggests that while variances and means of these ch.racteristics of individual lake types differ significantly(F-test,t-test),value distribution of different geometrical properties can’t be used for the originally proposed purpose along the *** only promising results are obtained for extreme values(selected bins)of the *** instance,the low width to length ratio indicates likely morainedammed lake while the high value of ratio indicating round-shape of the lake indicates increased likelihood of bedrock-dammed ***,we report a negative result of our experiment since there are negligible differences of relative frequencies in most of the bins along the spectra.

Global climate ch.nge may have serious impact on human activities in coastal and other *** ch.nge may affect the degree of storminess and,hence,ch.nge the wind-driven ocean wave *** may affect the risks associated with maritime activities such.as shipping and offshore oil and ***,there is a recognized need to understand better how climate ch.nge will affect such.***,such.understanding comes from future projections of the wind and wave climate from numerical climate models and from the stoch.stic modelling of such.*** work investigates the applicability of a recently proposed nonstationary fuzzy modelling to wind and wave climatic *** to this,fuzzy inference models(FIS)are coupled with nonstationary time series modelling,providing us with less biased climatic *** long-term datasets for an area in the north Atlantic Ocean are used in the present study,namely nORA10(57 years)and ExWaCli(30 years in the present and 30 years in the future).Two distinct experiments have been performed to simulate future values of the time series in a climatic *** assessment of the simulations by means of the actual values kept for comparison purposes gives very good results.

A laser lap welding process for zinc-coated steel has a well-known unsolved problem-porosity formation. The boiling temperature of coated zinc is lower than the melting temperature of the base metal, which.is steel. In the autogenous laser welding, the zinc vapor generates from the lapped surfaces expels the molten pool and the expulsion causes numerous weld defects, such.as spatters and blow holes on the weld surface and porosity inside the welds. The laser-arc hybrid welding was suggested as an alternative method for the laser lap welding because the arc can preheat or post-beat the weldment according to the arrangement of the laser beam and the arc. CO2 laser-micro plasma hybrid welding was applied to the lap welding of zinc-coated steel with zero-gap. The relationships among the weld quality and process parameters of the laser-arc arrangement, and the laser-arc interspacing distance and arc current were investigated using a full-factorial experimental design. The effect of laser-arc arrangement is dominant because the leading plasma arc partially melts the upper steel sheets and vaporizes or oxidizes the coated zinc on the lapped surfaces. Compared with the result from the laser-TIG hybrid welding, the heat input from arc can be reduced by 40%.
