sleep Posture Classification Using RGB and Thermal Cameras Based on Deep Learning Model

sleep posture surveillance is crucial for patient comfort,yet current s.s.ems face difficulties in providing compre-hensive studies due to the obstruction caused by *** posture ass.s.ment remains challenging because of the complex nature of the human body and variations in sleep ***,this.s.udy introduces an innovative method utilizing RGB and thermal cameras for comprehensive posture classification,thereby enhancing the analys.s.of body position and *** method begins by capturing a dataset of sleep postures in the form of videos using RGB and thermal cameras,which depict six commonly adopted postures.s.pine,left log,right log,prone head,prone left,and prone *** study involves 10 participants under two conditions:with and without ***,the database is normalized into a video *** subsequent step entails training a fine-tuned,pretrained Visual Geometry Group(VGG16)and ResNet50 *** the third phase,the extracted features are utilized for *** fourth step of the proposed approach employs a serial fusion technique based on the normal distribution to merge the vectors derived from both the RGB and thermal ***,the fused vectors are passed to machine learning classifiers for final *** dataset,which includes human sleep postures used in this.s.udy’s experiments,achieved a 96.7%accuracy rate using the Quadratic support Vector Machine(QsVM)without the ***,the Linear sVM,when utilized with a blanket,attained an accuracy of 96%.When normal distribution serial fusion was applied to the blanket features,it resulted in a remarkable average accuracy of 99%.

Lithium-sulfur batteries(Ls.s.have drawn significant attention owing to their high theoretical discharge capacity and energy ***,the dissolution of long-chain polysulfides into the electrolyte during the charge and discharge process(“shuttle effect”)results in fast capacity fading and inferior electrochemical *** this.s.udy,Mn_(2)O_(3)with an ordered mesoporous.s.ructure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was designed as a cathode host for Ls.s.via KIT-6 hard templating,to effectively inhibit the polysulfide shuttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to confine sulfur and tightly anchor the dissolved polysulfides through the combined effects of strong polar-polar interactions,polysulfides,and sulfur chain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/s composite electrode delivered a discharge capacity of 561 mAh g^(-1) after 250 cycles at 0.5 C owing to the excellent performance of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,it retained a discharge capacity of 628mA h g^(-1) even at a rate of 2 C,which was.s.gnificantly higher than that of a pristine sulfur electrode(206mA h g^(-1)).These findings provide a prospective strategy for designing cathode materials for high-performance Ls.s.

Mycobacterium tuberculos.s.MTB)is the causative agent of tuberculos.s.TB),a prevalent airborne infectious *** the availability of the Bacille Calmette-Guerin vaccine,its global efficacy remains modest,and tuberculos.s.pers.s.s as a significant global public health *** this challenge and advancing towards the End MTB strategy,we developed a multiepitope vaccine(MEV)based on immunoinformatics and compu-tational *** screening of MBT protein identified immune-dominant epitopes based on Major Histocompatibility Complex(MHC)allele binding,immunogenicity,antigenicity,allergenicity,toxicity,and cytokine *** epitopes were integrated into an MEV construct with adjuvant and linkers,forming a fully immunogenic vaccine *** analys.s.encompassed the evaluation of immunological and physicochemical properties,determination of tertiary structure,molecular docking with Toll-Like Receptors(TLR),molecular dynamics(MD)simulations for all atoms,and immune *** MEV compris.s.534 amino acids,featuring 6 cytotoxic T lymphocyte,8 helper T lymphocyte,and 7 linear B lymphocyte epitopes,demonstrating high antigenicity and ***,molecular docking studies and triplicate MD simulations revealed enhanced interactions and stability of MEV with the TLR4 complex compared to *** addition,the immune simulation indicated the capacity to effectively induce elevated levels of an-tibodies and cytokines,emphasizing the vaccine’s robust immunogenic *** study presents a promising MEV against TB,exhibiting favorable immunological and physicochemical *** findings provide theoretical support for TB vaccine *** study aligns with the global initiative of the End MTB strategy,emphasizing its potential impact on addressing pers.s.ent challenges in TB control.

Achieving highly regioselective synthes.s.in organic chemistry is challenging due to the uncontrollable orientation between reacting *** electric fields(EEFs)can influence the reactivity and selectivity of the substrate by causing directional ***,scalable and efficient techniques for using EEFs as.s.art catalys.s.have been lacking,hindering their *** this.s.udy,we present a novel method for modifying the regioselectivity of quinoxaline-2(1H)-ones by functionalizing their C7-position using the electric double layer(EDL)*** approach led to moderate to good yields of the corresponding C7-thiocyanation *** calculations and control experiments demonstrated that EEFs could reverse the regioselectivity of quinoxaline-2(1H)-ones,allowing the C7-thiocyanation to proceed via a radical reaction ***,the resulting 7-thiocyano-1-methylquinoxaline-2(1H)-ones exhibited promising AIE *** work showcas.s.a promising strategy for achieving highly regioselective functionalization by aligning the electric field with the desired reaction/bond axis.

The Lunar Environment heliospheric X-ray Imager(LEXI)and solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(sMILE)missions will image the Earth’s dayside magneto pause and cus.s.in soft X-rays after their respective launches in the near future,to specify glo bal magnetic reconnection modes for varying solar wind *** suppo rt the success of these scientific missions,it is critical to develop techniques that extract the magnetopause locations from the observed soft X-ray *** this research,we introduce a new geometric equation that calculates the subsolar magnetopause position(Rs)from a satellite position,the look direction of the instrument,and the angle at which the X-ray emission is *** assumptions are used in this method:(1)The look direction where soft X-ray emissions are maximized lies tangent to the magnetopause,and(2)the magnetopause surface near the subsolar point is almost spherical and thus Rs.s.nea rly equal to the radius of the magneto pause *** create synthetic soft X-ray images by using the Open Geospace General Circulation Model(OpenGGCM)global magnetohydrodynamic model,the galactic background,the instrument point spread function,and Poisson *** then apply the fast Fourier transform and Gaussian low-pass filte rs to the synthetic images to re move noise and obtain accurate look angles for the soft X-ray pea *** the filte red images,we calculate Rs and its accuracy for different LEXI locations,look directions,and solar wind densities by using the OpenGGCM subsolar magnetopause location as ground *** method estimates Rs with an accuracy ofsolar wind density exceeds>10 *** accuracy improves for greater solar wind densities and during southward interplanetary magnetic *** method ca ptures the magnetopause motion during southwa rd interplaneta ry magnetic field ***,the technique will enable quantitative analys.s.of the magnetopause motion and help reveal the daysi

Negative stiffness Mechanism on An Asymmetric Wave Energy Converter by Using A Weakly Nonlinear Potential Model

salter's duck,an asymmetrical wave energy converter(WEC)device,showed high efficiency in extracting energy from 2D regular waves in the past;yet,challenges remain for fluctuating wave *** can potentially be addressed by adopting a negative stiffness mechanism(NsM)in WEC devices to enhance s.s.em efficiency,even in highly nonlinear and steep 3D waves.A weakly nonlinear model was developed which incorporated a nonlinear restoring moment and NsM into the linear formulations and was applied to an asymmetric WEC using a time domain potential flow *** model was initially validated by comparing it with published experimental and numerical computational fluid dynamics *** current results were in good agreement with the published *** was found that the energy extraction increased in the range of 6%to 17%during the evaluation of the effectiveness of the NsM in regular *** irregular wave conditions.s.ecifically at the design wave conditions for the selected test site,the energy extraction increased by 2.4%,with annual energy production increments of approximately *** findings highlight the potential of NsM in enhancing the performance of asymmetric WEC devices,indicating more efficient energy extraction under various wave conditions.

Rice is the staple food for more than half of the world’s population,and the demand for rice is expected to increase by 28%by 2050(Jiang et al.,2017).However,rice production is one of the largest anthropogenic sources of the potent greenhouse gas methane(CH4),accounting for 22%of total agricultural CH4 emissions(Qian et al.,2023).Therefore,to achieve s.s.ainable intensification of rice cultivation,it is necessary to increase yields while reducing CH4 *** management techniques to reduce CH4 emissions while maintaining high yields have been studied extensively over the past few decades,but crop breeding to reduce CH4 emissions without compromising yields has received less attention(Kwon et al.,2023).

Neuromorphic hardware equipped with associative learn-ing capabilities presents fascinating applications in the next generation of artificial ***,research into synaptic devices exhibiting complex associative learning behaviors is.s.ill ***,an optoelec-tronic memristor based on Ag/TiO_(2) Nanowires:ZnO Quantum dots/FTO was proposed and constructed to emulate the biological associative learning *** implementation of synaptic behaviors,including long and short-term plasticity,and learning-forgetting-relearning behaviors,were achieved in the device through the application of light and electrical *** the optoelectronic co-modulated characteristics,a simulation of neuromorphic computing was conducted,resulting in a handwriting digit recognition accuracy of 88.9%.Furthermore,a 3×7 memristor array was constructed,confirming its application in artificial visual *** importantly,complex biological associative learning behaviors were emulated by mapping the light and electrical stimuli into conditioned and unconditioned stimuli,*** training through associative pairs,reflexes could be triggered solely using light ***-sively,under specific optoelectronic signal applications,the four features of classical conditioning,namely acquisition,extinction,recovery,and generalization,were elegantly *** work provides an optoelectronic memristor with associative behavior capabilities,offering a pathway for advancing brain-machine interfaces,autonomous robots,and machine self-learning in the future.

surface area,pore properties.s.nergistic behavior,homogenous dispersion,and interactions between carbon matrix and metal-nanostructures are the key factors for achieving the better performance of carbon-metal based(electro)***,the traditional hydro-or solvothermal preparation of(electro)catalys.s.particularly,bi-or tri-metallic nanostructures anchored graphene(G)or carbon nanotubes(CNTs),often pose to poor metal–support interaction,low synergism,and patchy *** first,bimetallic flower-like-CuFes_(2)/NG and cube-like-NiFes_(2)/NCNTs nanocomposites were prepared by solvothermal *** resultant bimetallic nanocomposites were employed to derive the 2D-nano-sandwiched Fe_(2)CuNis_(4)/NGCNTs.s.(electro)catalyst by a very simple and green urea-mediated“mix-heat”*** desired physicochemical properties of Fe_(2)CuNis_(4)/NGCNTs.s. such as multiple active sites.s.rong metal-support interaction,homogenous dispersion and enhanced surface area were confirmed by various microscopic and spectroscopic *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first urea-mediated“mix-heat”method for preparing 2D-nano-sandwiched carbon-metal-based(electro)*** Fe_(2)CuNis_(4)/NGCNTs.s. was found to be highly effective for alkaline-mediated oxygen evolution reaction at low onset potential of 284.24 mV,and the stable current density of 10 mA cm^(−2) in 1.0 m KOH for 10 ***,the Fe_(2)CuNis_(4)/NGCNTs.s. demonstrated excellent catalytic activity in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol with good kapp value of 87.71×10^(−2)s^(-1)and excellent reusability over five ***,the developed urea-mediated“mix-heat”method is highly efficient for the preparation of metal-nanoarchitectures anchored 2D-nano-sandwiched(electro)catalys.s.with high synergism,uniform dispersion and excellent metal-support interaction.
