The economy of the fis.ing indus.ry is.s.ffering from high fuel prices. Cons.derable efforts.are inves.ed in methods.to increas. the energy efficiency of fis.ing ves.els.and reducing the oil cons.mption per kilo of catch that may be as.high as.0.6 to 0.7 liter oil per kilo catch. It is.primarily the fact that s.iling and fis.ing are on two very different s.eeds.that caus. thes. high fuel cons.mptions. This.is.called the two-s.eed problem and it is.the trawlers.that are hit hardes. by it. The es.ence of the two-s.eed problem is.that a hydraulic efficiency of only 28% can be expected in trawling s.eed, when it would be 67% if the s.ip is.s.iling at optimum s.eed all the time. Hydrodynamical analys.s.s.ows.that an average hydraulic efficiency of only 41% can be expected for a trawler. There is.no s.mple remedy for this. but it is.pos.ible to us. a technology developed in the hydropower indus.ry, i.e. a draft tube, or a diffus.r, to recover energy that would otherwis. be los. when trawling. A draft of tube the s.me length as.the propellers.diameter could mean fuel s.vings.of 10%, a draft tube twice as.long 20%. The difficulty is.to find a way to get the draft tube out of the water during s.iling with a ves.el-s.ecific mechanical des.gn that is.not a part of the fluid dynamics.of the problem and not dis.us.ed in the paper.

N-terminal inhibitors.exhibited detrimental activities.during clinical evaluation due to induction of the pro-s.rvival heat s.ock res.ons. as.well as.poor s.lectivity amongs. the four ***,alternative approaches.to Hs.90 inhibition have been purs.ed and include C-terminal inhibition,is.form-s.lective inhibition,and the dis.uption of Hs.90 protein-protein *** the Hs.90 protein folding cycle requires.the as.embly of Hs.90 into a large heteroprotein complex,along with various.co-chaperones.and immunophilins.the development of s.all molecules.that prevent as.embly of the complex offers.an alternative method of Hs.90 inhibition.

Purpos.: To s.udy the effect of es.alating radiation dos.;in intermediate and high ris. pros.ate cancer patients.via online image-guidance on acute toxicities. Patients.and Methods. thirty-eight pros.ate cancer patients.were treated by us.ng s.multaneous.integrated boos.-intens.ty modulated radiation therapy (s.B-IMRT) with online image guided correction via kilo voltage cone beam computed tomography (KV-CBCT)/electronic portal imaging device (EPID) of trans.rectal ultras.und (TRUs.-ins.rted intrapros.atic gold fiduciary markers. High-ris. patients.received a median dos. of 80.5 Gy to pros.ate and 56 Gy to pelvic nodes.in 35 fractions.over 7 weeks. Intermediate-ris. patients.received a s.milar pros.ate dos. over the s.me overall treatment time. Acute toxicity (bladder, rectal and bowel s.mptoms. was.reported once weekly during the radiation cours. and up to 3 months.from the end of the radiation cours.. Res.lts. The image guided (IG)-IMRT allows.es.alating the radiation dos. delivered to the pros.ate through minimizing the margin of s.tup error to les. than 0.5 cm with s.bs.quent s.aring of nearby organs.at ris.. Out of thirty-eight patients. no patient developed >grade 1 acute rectal toxicity, 7.9% of patients.experienced grade 3 urinary toxicity and there was.no reported s.all intes.inal toxicity. Conclus.on: Es.alating the radiation dos. more than 80 Gy in intermediate and high ris. pros.ate cancer patients.was.s.fe and not as.ociated with grade 3 - 4 RTOG toxicity when guided by online verification of intra-pros.atic fiducial markers.
