Autonomous navigation of a mobile robot in an unknown environment with highly cluttered obstacles is a fundamental issue in mobile robotics research. We propose an adaptive network fuzzy inference system(ANFIS) based navigation controller for a differential drive mobile robot in an unknown environment with cluttered obstacles. Ultrasonic sensors are used to capture the environmental information around the mobile robot. A training data set required to train the ANFIS controller has been obtained by designing a fuzzy logic based navigation controller. Additive white Gaussian noise has been added to the sensor readings and fed to the trained ANFIS controller during mobile robot navigation, to account for the effect of environmental noise on sensor readings. The robustness of the proposed navigation controller has been evaluated by navigating the mobile robot in three different environments. The performance of the proposed controller has been verified by comparing the travelled path length/efficiency and bending energy obtained by the proposed method with reference mobile robot navigation controllers, such as neural network, fuzzy logic, and ANFIS. Simulation results presented in this paper show that the proposed controller has better performance compared with reference controllers and can successfully navigate in different environments without any collision with obstacles.

We propose a novel clustering algorithm using fast global kernel fuzzy c-means-F(FGKFCM-F), where F refers to kernelized feature space. This algorithm proceeds in an incremental way to derive the near-optimal solution by solving all intermediate problems using kernel-based fuzzy c-means-F(KFCM-F) as a local search procedure. Due to the incremental nature and the nonlinear properties inherited from KFCM-F, this algorithm overcomes the two shortcomings of fuzzy c-means(FCM): sen- sitivity to initialization and inability to use nonlinear separable data. An accelerating scheme is developed to reduce the compu-tational complexity without significantly affecting the solution quality. Experiments are carried out to test the proposed algorithm on a nonlinear artificial dataset and a real-world dataset of speech signals for consonant/vowel segmentation. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in improving clustering performance on both types of datasets.

Gynostemma(G.) pentaphyllum(Cucurbitaceae) contains various bioactive gypenosides. Ethanol extract from G. pentaphyllum(GP-EX) has been shown to have ameliorative effects on the death of dopaminergic neurons in animal models of Parkinson’s disease(PD) induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine-and 6-hydroxydopamine. PD patients exhibit multiple symptoms, so PD-related research should combine neurotoxin models with genetic models. In the present study, we investigated the ameliorative effects of GP-EX, including gypenosides, on the cell death of dopaminergic neurons in the midbrain of A53 T α-synuclein transgenic mouse models of PD(A53 T). Both GP-EX and gypenosides at 50 mg/kg per day were orally administered to the A53 T mice for 20 weeks.α-Synuclein-immunopositive cells and α-synuclein phosphorylation were increased in the midbrain of A53 T mice, which was reduced following treatment with GP-EX. Treatment with GP-EX modulated the reduced phosphorylation of tyrosine hydroxylase, extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK1/2), Bcl-2-associated death promoter(Bad) at Ser112, and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK1/2) due to α-synuclein overexpression. In the A53 T group, GP-EX treatment prolonged the latency of the step-through passive avoidance test and shortened the transfer latency of the elevated plus maze test. Gypenosides treatment exhibited the effects and efficacy similar to those of GP-EX. Taken together, GP-EX, including gypenosides, has ameliorative effects on dopaminergic neuronal cell death due to the overexpression of α-synuclein by modulating ERK1/2, Bad at Ser112, and JNK1/2 signaling in the midbrain of A53 T mouse model of PD. Further studies are needed to investigate GP-EX as a treatment for neurodegenerative synucleinopathies, including PD. This study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Chungbuk National University(approval No. CBNUA-956-16-01) on September 21, 2016.

＜正＞ CKD-501 is a novel peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α/γ dual agonist for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. This study aimed to investigate safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of CKD-501 in healthy volunteers. A randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel-group, dose-rising study was performed. Thirty-six healthy male subjects received single oral doses ranging from 0.5-8 mg CKD- 501 or placebo. In the multipledose study, 24 subjects received 1-4 mg once daily for 7 days. Serial blood and urine samples were collected. No serious adverse events （AEs） were observed and AEs reported were all of mild severity. In the single-dose study, mean Cmax and AUCinf increased linearly up to the 8 mg dose level.Tmax and t1/2 ranged from 0.5-4 h and 7.8-9.8 h. respectively. Less than 1 % CKD-501 was excreted in urine. After multiple dosing, accumulation index was around 1.2. Mean apparent clearance, Tmax and t1/2 in steady state were independent of dose and time. Single oral doses up to 8 mg CKD- 501 and multiple doses up to 4 mg were safe and well tolerated. Mean Cmax and AUCinf were dose proportional and there was no remarkable accumulation after multiple dosing.

目的:探讨脑外伤合并骨折组与单纯骨折组骨折处骨痂组织中低氧诱导因子(HIF-1)的表达。方法对98只SPF级健康SD大鼠进行造模,其中A组(脑外伤合并骨折组)50例,B组(单纯骨折组)48例,造模成功后分别在1~4w每周周末剖取骨痂组织进行HE染色和免疫组化染色。利用高倍显微镜观察组织中4个互不重叠视野,计算细胞HIF-1阳性率,灰度值、光密度值、积分光密度值,观测细胞HIF-1的表达。结果 A组的各种指标均在第1w末达到高峰后开始换面下降,说明HIF-1在脑外伤合并骨折后增多,其后虽下降但仍然活跃,加速骨折愈合。而单纯骨折组所有指标均无明显变化。结论脑外伤合并骨折组的骨痂组织中HIF-1的表达较单纯骨折组有明显增多。 HIF-1对骨折愈合有促进作用。这为日后临床治疗骨折愈合,提高治疗效率提供新方向和新靶点。
