Prevalence of cryptosporidiosis in animals in Iran: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective:To review the prevalence of cryptosporidiosis among animal population of ***:Data were systematically gathered from 1 January 2000 to 1 January 2020 in the Islamic Republic of Iran from the following electronic databases:Pub Med,Springer,Google Scholar,Science Direct,Scopus,Web of Science,Magiran,and Scientific Information Database(SID).According to the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses(PRISMA)and inclusion criteria,88 eligible studies were ***:The pooled prevalence of cryptosporidiosis using random and fixed effects model according to heterogeneity among animals was as follows:rodents 18.8%(95%CI 12.6%-25.0%),camels 17.1%(95%CI 8.6%-25.7%),cattle 16.8%(95%CI 13.4%-20.1%),goats 14.1%(95%CI 5.2%-23.0%),horses 12.2%(95%CI 8.3%-16.2%),birds 10.5%(95%CI 7.6%-13.4%),sheep 9.9%(95%CI 2.4%-4.9%),cats 8.8%(95%CI 4.8%-12.8%)and dogs 3.7%(95%CI 7.0%-12.8%).Conclusions:Cryptosporidiosis has been reported and present in a wide range of animals in Iran over the years and has a high prevalence in most of these species.

Si/SiC Hybrid 5-level Active NPC Inverter for Electric Aircraft Propulsion Drive Applications

Medium voltage DC(MVDC)system is considered as a promising technology to improve the efficiency and power density of electric aircraft propulsion(EAP)*** adapt to the MVDC voltage level and achieve high drive performance,a five-level active neutral point clamped(5L-ANPC)inverter consisting of three-level ANPC and flying capacitor circuits is investigated,which possesses higher voltage capability,lower output harmonics,as well as mitigated dv/dt and common-mode *** fulfill the requirements of high-speed operation and pursue further enhanced efficiency and power density of the inverter for the next-generation EAP drives,Silicon Carbide(SiC)semiconductor devices are considered for implementing the 5L-ANPC ***,the large commutation loops associated with certain switching states of the inverter lessen the benefits of configuring all the switches as SiC *** a result,a hybrid Si/SiC 5L-ANPC inverter is developed with a synchronous optimal pulse(SOP)width modulation strategy for controlling the switches in cell 2 and finite-control-set model predictive controller(FCS-MPC)for those in cell 3 of the ***,in the proposed topology,the SiC devices are merely used for the high-frequency switches in cell 3 and the rest of the low-frequency switches are configured with Si *** Si/SiC hybrid ANPC inverter concurrently provides high efficiency and low implementation cost at high-speed operation *** and experimental results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid inverter.

A Note on the Euclidean Algorithm

The problem of determining the number of steps needed to find the greatest common divisor of two positive integers by Euclidean algorithm has been investigated in elementary number theory for decades. Different upper bounds have been found for this problem. Here, we provide a sharp upper bound for a function which has a direct relation to the numbers whom the greatest common divisor we are trying to calculate. We mainly use some features of Fibonacci numbers as our tools.

Isolation and identification of adipose-derived stromal/stem cells from breast cancer patients after exposure neoadjuvant chemotherapy

BACKGROUND With recent research advances,adipose-derived stromal/stem cells(ASCs)have been demonstrated to facilitate the survival of fat grafts and thus are increasingly used for reconstructive procedures following surgery for breast ***,in patients,following radiation and chemotherapy for breast cancer suggest that these cancer treatment therapies may limit stem cell cellular functions important for soft tissue wound *** clinical translation to patients that have undergone cancer treatment,it is necessary to understand the effects of these therapies on the ASC's ability to improve fat graft survival in clinical *** To investigate whether the impact on ASCs function capacity and recovery in cancer patients may be due to the *** ASCs were isolated from the cancerous side and noncancerous side of the breast from the same patients with receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)or notreceiving *** were in vitro treated with 5-fluorouracil(5-FU),doxorubicin(DXR),and cyclophosphamide(Cytoxan)at various *** stem cells yield,cell viability,and proliferation rates were measured by growth curves and MTT *** capacity for adipogenesis was determined by qPCR analysis of the specific gene markers and histological *** No significant differences were observed between the yield of ASCs in patients receiving NAC treatment and not-receiving *** yield from the cancerous side of the breast showed lower than the noncancerous side of the breast in both patients receiving NAC and not-receiving *** proliferation rates of ASCs from patients didn’t differ much before and after NAC upon in vitro culture,and these cells appeared to retain the capacity to acquire adipocyte traits simile to the ASCs from patients not-receiving *** cessation and washout of the drugs for another a week of culturing,ASCs showed a slow recovery of cell growth capacity in 5-FU-treated groups but was not
