A novel method to infer the finger flexing motions of various arm postures is proposed. From the gyroscope signal, the authors recognized forearm posture using K-means clustering method. Then finger motion inferred. For finger motion inference, Gaussian model of information entropy and maximum likelibood method was utilized. Experimentally it is obtained that the average recognition rate with the forearm posture inference is much higher than those without the inference by 30.7%.

One of the advantages of laser speckle is detecting microvascular through image processing. This paper proposes a new image processing method for laser speckle, adaptive window method that adaptively processes laser speckle images in the space. Disadvantage of conventional fixed window method is that it uses the same window size regardless of target areas. Inherently laser speckle contains undesired noise. Thus a large window is helpful for removing the noise, but it results in low resolution of image. Otherwise a small window may detect micro vascular but it has limits in noise removal. To overcome this trade-off, the concept of adaptive window method is newly introduced to conventional laser speckle image analysis. In addition, the modified adaptive window method applied to other selection images. We have compared conventional Laser Speckle Contrast Analysis （LASCA） and its variants with the proposed method in terms of image quality and processing complexity, Moreover compared the result of the accompamed changing sdection images have also been compared.

AIM: To investigate whether ezetimibe ameliorates hepatic steatosis and induces autophagy in a rat model of obesity and type 2 diabetes. METHODS: Male age-matched lean control LETO and obese and diabetic OLETF rats were administered either PBS or ezetimibe(10 mg/kg per day) via stomach gavage for 20 wk. Changes in weight gain and energy intake were regularly monitored. Blood and liver tissue were harvested after overnight fasting at the end of study. Histological assessment was performed in liver tissue. The concentrations of glucose, insulin, triglycerides(TG), free fatty acids(FFA), and total cholesterol(TC) in blood and TG, FFA, and TG in livertissue were measured. m RNA and protein abundance involved in autophagy was analyzed in the liver. To investigate the effect of ezetimibe on autophagy and reduction in hepatic fat accumulation, human Huh7 hepatocytes were incubated with ezetimibe(10 μmol/L) together with or without palmitic acid(PA, 0.5 mmol/L, 24 h). Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) was employed to demonstrate effect of ezetimibe on autophagy formation. Autophagic flux was measured with bafilomycin A1, an inhibitor of autophagy and following immunoblotting for autophagy-related protein ***: In the OLETF rats that received ezetimibe(10 mg/kg per day), liver weight were significantly decreased by 20% compared to OLETF control rats without changes in food intake and body weight(P < 0.05). Lipid parameters including TG, FFA, and TC in liver tissue of ezetimibe-administrated OLETF rats were dramatically decreased at least by 30% compared to OLETF controls(P < 0.01). The serum glucose, insulin, HOMA-IR, and lipid profiles were also improved by ezetimibe(P < 0.05). In addition, autophagy-related m RNA expression including ATG5, ATG6, and ATG7 and the protein level of microtubule-associated protein light chain 3(LC3) were significantly increased in the liver in rats that received ezetimibe(P < 0.05). Quasi-type II heterostructured nanocrystals(NCs)have been of particular interest due to their great potential for controlling the interplay of charge ***,the lack of material choices for quasi-type II NCs restricts the accessible emission wavelength from red to near-infrared(NIR),which hinders their use in light-emitting applications that demand a wide range of visible ***,we demonstrate a new class of quasi-type II nanoemitters formulated in ZnSe/ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X)/ZnSe seed/spherical quantum well/shell heterostructures(SQWs)whose emission wavelength ranges from blue to *** a given geometry,ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X) emissive layers grown between the ZnSe seed and the shell layer are strained to fit into the surrounding media,and thus,the lattice mismatch between ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X) and ZnSe is effectively *** addition,composition of the ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X) emissive layer and the dimension of the ZnSe shell layer are engineered to tailor the distribution and energy of electron and hole wave *** from the capabilities to tune the charge carriers on demand and to form defectfree heterojunctions,ZnSe/ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X)/ZnSe/ZnS NCs show near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY>90%)in a broad range of emission wavelengths(peak PL from 450nm to 600 nm).Finally,we exemplify dichromatic white NC-based light-emitting diodes(NC-LEDs)employing the mixed layer of blue-and yellow-emitting ZnSe/ZnSe_(1-X)TeX/ZnSe/ZnS SQW NCs.

This paper proposes a new day-ahead control scheme of an air conditioning (AC) based on thermodynamic model of indoor-temperature. The thermodynamic model of indoor-temperature can be achieved by modified first-order thermal dynamic equation. For the practical verification of proposed model, we implemented the home energy management system (HEMS) in the laboratory and used real experiment data sets. The proposed model can be represented by a state-space model of indoor-temperature and its parameters are obtained by least square algorithm. Through the proposed thermodynamic model, indoor-temperature can be predicted closely, and a behavior pattern of AC can also be achieved. This research involves the experimental verification of the proposed approach and communication architecture between the aggregator and a system user in a laboratory environment.

AIM： To compare ecabet sodium and cimetidine in relieving symptoms of functional dyspepsia. METHODS： We performed a multi-center, prospective, randomized, double-blinded controlled trial to compare the clinical efficacy of ecabet sodium and cimetidine in patients with functional dyspepsia. Two-hundred and seventy-two patients with dyspeptic symptoms fulfilling the Rome-II criteria were enrolled from 7 centers. In the study group （115 patients）, 1.5 g ecabet sodium was given twice a day. In the control group （121 patients）, 400 mg cimetidine was given twice a day. Symptoms and parameters of quality of life were analyzed at baseline, 3, 14, and 28 d after initiating the treatment. RESULTS： Two-hundred and thirty-six patients completed the clinical trial. After 4 wk of treatment, the rates of improvement in patients with dyspeptic symptoms were not different between two groups （77.4% in the ecabet group and 79.3% in the cimetidine group, respectively, P 〉 0.05）. Likewise, the rates of symptomatic improvement were not different at 3 d and 14 d. The parameters of quality of life did not change significantly during the study period in both groups. There was no clinically significant adverse event in both groups.
