Background:Tropical forests have been experiencing remarkable rates of transformation over the past century as they are getting degraded or decimated to a great extent by anthropogenic *** study aims at investigating the long-term forest cover transformation in Palamau Tiger Reserve(PTR),Jharkhand,India,using Landsat TM,ETM+,and OLI satellite images during *** forest cover was delineated utilizing various keys of visual interpretation ***:The forest cover was primarily decreased in the north-eastern and north-western parts in *** order to identify the anthropogenic disturbance in the forest reserve,human settlement density was mapped using highresolution Google Earth *** results showed a positive correlation between human population density and settlement *** major affected sites with an outer buffer of 2 km were demarcated in order to deduce the anthropogenic influences in major non-forested sites in *** was observed that the forest change was maximum at site 3(Ranidah,area 61.06 km^(2),−6.47%change)followed by site 2(Saidup,area 124.38 km^(2),−7.65%change),where settlement units were also high(2638 and 2621 settlement units,respectively).At site 1(Barkheta,area 81.59 km^(2)),−1.99%change was observed,and at site 4(Samadh Tola,area 9.15 km^(2)),1.03% change was observed having moderate settlement units(2422 and 1892 settlement units,respectively).Areas with the low level of human settlements(1038 settlement units)observed the least change,i.e.,at site 5(Netarhat,area 48.52 km^(2)),0.58%change was observed mainly during the ***:The forest cover exhibited an overall decrease of 14.55 km^(2)(−1.34%change)with episodic variation during 1975-2015 in PTR,Eastern India.A significant forest disturbance occurred primarily in the north-eastern and north-western parts of PTR along the forest fringe due to the high population and settlement *** study highlighted the potential use of freely availa

Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a severe secondary and refractory *severe secondary conditio, that accounts for a varying prevalence between 0.01% to 5.1% of all glaucoma those studied in different regions of the world. **This is a pathological condition, which is caused by the new vessels over iris surface and followed by fibrovascular membrane formation over the trabecular meshwork, secondary to a local angiogenic stimulus. The fibrovascular membrane over trabecular meshwork obstructs the aqueous outflow at an angle of the anterior chamber. ***The obstruction in outflow of the aqueous results increase of intraocular pressure (IOP), within the eyeball. NVG results from a number of ocular and systemic conditions with retinal ischemia leading to anoxia as a mediator in over 95% of cases. Most of them are affected with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) followed by central retinal venous occlusion (CRVO), and ocular ischemic syndrome (OIS) along with other uncommon causes or all those causes that causes retinal anoxia which led to angiogenic activity in retina and iris of eye. Although NVG overall prevalence is low, but it is a dreadful condition led to blindness. The objective of this review is to provide detailed information on its basic and clinical aspects, to enable us to manage it logically. Here its etiopathogenesis, methods of early diagnosis and management are discussed. It was concluded that if NVG is detected earlier and managed systematically (both medical and surgical) along with an eye on alleviation of different aggravating factors of the retinal hypoxia, it could be a sight-saving measure to the affected person.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to discuss the most important facts about prostate cancer, its treatments and efficacy, the type of prostate cancer that does not improve with hormonal therapy (Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer-CRPC), and the recently approved Radium-223 dichloride targeted therapy for CRPC that has metastasized to bones. Prostate cancer is the third most common malignancy diagnosed worldwide and the most common malignant disease in men. Also, the incidence of prostate cancer varies between regions. So it’s important to have a proper understanding of all above points to prevent the further development and spread of cancer and improve the cure rate. Design: The paper begins by discussing what prostate cancer is, the risk factors, clinical manifestations, and the treatments for prostate cancer. It covers the clinical manifestations, pathology, screening (cancer biomarker Prostate Specific Antigen, Digital Rectal Examination—DRE, prostate biopsy, and imaging) and treatments for prostate cancer. The paper then delves into the main treatment methods for prostate cancer, including how Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (CRPC) differs from normal prostate cancer after hormone suppression therapy. Additionally, it discusses the effectiveness of the recently introduced Radium-223 dichloride injection as a radiation-targeted therapy for treating CRPC that has metastasized to bones. This section covers the properties of radium-223 dichloride injection, its pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, absorption and volume of distribution, half-life, metabolism, route of elimination, clearance, toxicity, adverse effects, and mechanism of action at the tumor site. It also discusses preclinical studies related to radium-223 dichloride injection and its effectiveness in treating CRPC patients with bone metastasis. The present work deals with the reflection of plane seismic waves at the stress-free plane surface of double-porosity dualpermeability material. The incidence of two main waves（i.e., P1 and SV） is considered. As a result of the incident waves,four reflected（three longitudinal and one shear） waves are found in the medium. The expressions of reflection coefficients for a given incident wave are obtained as a non-singular system of linear equations. The energy shares of reflected waves are obtained in the form of an energy matrix. A numerical example is considered to calculate the partition of incident energy for fully closed as well as perfectly open pores. Effect of incident direction on the partition of the incident energy is analyzed with the change in wave frequency, wave-induced fluid-flow, pore-fluid viscosity and double-porosity structure. It has been confirmed from the numerical interpretation that during the reflection process, conservation of incident energy is obtained at each angle of incidence.

In the present investigation,a facile synthesis method is explored involving a self-combustion of a solid precursor mixture of iron oxide Fe_(2)O_(3) and boric acid(H_(3)BO_(3))using camphor(C_(10)H_(16)O)as fuel in ambient air in order to form a single phase Fe_(3)BO_(6) crystallites.X-ray diffraction(XRD),Field emission electron microscopy(FESEM),magnetic,and dielectric properties of as prepared sample are *** XRD pattern,a single phase compound is observed with an orthorhombic crystal structure(Pnma space group),with average crystallite size of 42 nm.A reasonably uniform size distribution of the plates and self-assemblies is retained in the sample.A magnetic transition is observed in dielectric permittivity(at-445 K)and power loss(at-435 K)when plotted against temperature.A weak peak occurs near 330 K due to the charge reordering in the *** temperatures above the transition temperature,a sharp increase of the dielectric loss is observed which occurs due to the presence of thermally activated charge carriers.A canted antiferromagnetic Fe_(3)þordering in a Fe_(3)BO_(6) lattice with a localized charge surface layer is an apparent source of exhibiting a ferroelectric feature in this unique example of a centrosymmetric *** induced spin current over the Fe sites thus could give rise to a polarization hysteresis *** to the presence of both ferromagnetic as well as polarization ordering,Fe_(3)BO_(6) behaves like a single phase multiferroic ceramics.

Objective:Polycystic ovary syndrome(Pcos)is a pathophysiological disorder affecting reproductive and metabolic indices in *** present study was designed to compare the efficacy of metformin and D-chiroinositol in PcoS ***:In a tertiary care hospital in North India,prospective observational research was undertaken on 1o0 patients with PCOS,which was diagnosed based on European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology Guidelines and ultrasound of lower *** study involves various clinical characteristics into consideration for the determination of statistical significance(P<0.05)in PCOS ***'s t-test along with the association between PCOS and patients taking metformin and D-chiro-inositol,as well as their impact on various biochemical parameters,were investigated finally using Pearson Correlation ***:This study comprises 50 patients taking metformin and 50 patients taking D-chiro-inositol in women suffering from *** mass index(BMI)and waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)were statistically significant(P<0.05)within the groups of both metformin and *** parameters such as luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),anti-mullerian hormone(AMH)and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)were found to be statistically significant(P<0.05)in both ***,FSH and AMH(14.40±0.52;14.28±0.53;1.99±0.10)were comparatively lower in patients taking D-chiro-inositol as compared to metformin group(14.17±0.42;19.88±1.01;2.61±0.04).HbA1c(3.71±0.08)with P<0.05 was found to be decreased more in metformin group as compared to patients taking D-chiro-inositol(4.90±0.09).A positive correlation was found between HbAlc and LH in metformin,&HbAlc and FSH in D-chiro-inositol groups,***:The results indicate that D-chiro-inositol shows better results in reducing clinical variables involved in causing PCOS as compared to metformin whereas metformin has better glycemic control in PCOS patients.

In this paper,HoMg is studied in two different phases i.e.B1 and *** calculated lattice constants in B1 and B2 phases are 6.39°A and 3.78°A and corresponding energies are−25,648.49 Ry and−25,648.56 Ry,*** is more stable in B2 phase(Pm-3m configuration with no.221).The analysis of the obtained band structure and density of states shows metallic character of *** information about the elastic properties is also presented in this *** calculated values of Cauchy pressure,G/B and Poisson ratio are−10.72,0.58 and 0.26,respectively which indicates that HoMg have brittle *** for the optical spectra such as the components of dielectric function,refractive index and other parameters of the optical properties are performed in the energy range of 0-20 *** HoMg,the main peak of absorption spectra and energy loss function is located at 7.44 eV and 11.76 eV,*** parameters such as Gruneisen parameter,Debye temperature,Specific heat *** been reported as a function of pressure and temperature.©2018 Published by Elsevier *** behalf of Chongqing University.

Structural,electronic,optical and magnetic properties of DyMg intermetallic compound are calculated by using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave(FP-LAPW)method employing density functional theory(DFT).The obtained optimized equilibrium lattice constant in stable structure of DyMg(B2 phase)with spin polarized calculations is 7.107 Bohr and that without spin polarized calculations is 7.115 *** electronic band structure and density of states plots show metallic character of *** energy-dependent components of dielectric function,refractive index,extinction coefficient,absorption spectra,optical conductivity,energy loss spectra and reflectivity are reported in the energy range 0–20 *** DyMg maximum absorption is observed in the range 4–11 *** highest optical conductivity peak is observed near 0.78 eV(1589.5409 nm)and maximum energy loss occurs at 11.90 eV which corresponds to~2.8 Hz in ultraviolet *** obtained total magnetic moment shows that its value decreases with the increase in lattice parameter.
