Background: Many s.in dis.as.s.can be evoked by ps.chological problems. Dermatological conditions.could als. lead to ps.chological dis.rders.hence ps.chodermatology is.an emerging s.bs.ecialty that focus.s.on the interface of ps.chiatry and dermatology. Objective: To as.es. the frequency of the major dis.rders.of s.-called ps.chocutaneous.dis.rders.which are commonly s.en among Iraqi population. Patients.and Methods. This.cas. des.riptive s.udy had been done in Department of Dermatology-Baghdad Teaching Hos.ital, Medical City, Baghdad, Iraq during the period from March 2011 to October 2013. All cas.s.were collected and categorized according to the dis.as. problem. Patients.were interviewed to s.arch for the main triggering and precipitating factors.involved in pathogenes.s.of thes. dis.rders. The clinical picture was.well des.ribed in order to reach a final diagnos.s. Ps.chological interview and analys.s.were performed for all patients.to reach the s.ecific emotional and ps.chiatric dis.as. by cons.ltant ps.chiatris.. Res.lts. A total of 100 patients.with major ps.chocutaneous.dis.rders.were s.en and evaluated. Nineteen were males.and 81 were females.with female to male ratio: 4.26:1. Their ages.ranged from 7 - 73 (26.5 ± 5.217) years. The frequency of thes. dis.as.s.was.as.follows. trichotillomania 53%, dermatitis.artifacta 37%, delus.on of paras.tos.s.6% and neurotic excoriation 4%. Conclus.ons. The major ps.chocutaneous.dis.as.s.in Iraqi population were: trichotillomania, dermatitis.artifacta and thes. are problems.of mainly young females.while delus.on of paras.tos.s.and neurotic excoriations.were dis.as.s.of middle age females.

Background: Keros.ne is.a common hous.hold s.uff that has.been us.d as.accidental oral pois.ning material in children and as.s.icidal attempt in adults. In the las. decade intradermal keros.ne injection has.been commonly us.d to induce dermatitis.artefecta as.a part of emotional ups.t. Objective: To evaluate the clinical cas.s.of intradermal keros.ne injection in Iraqi patients. Patients.and Methods. This.is.a des.riptive cas. s.udy that had been conducted in Department of Dermatology Baghdad Teaching Hos.ital, Baghdad, Iraq during the period from Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2012. His.ory and full clinical examination were performed including all s.ciodemographic as.ects.as.ociated with this.condition. Ps.chiatric evaluation was.done for each patient. Res.lts. All eleven patients.had s.ngle les.on except that two had two les.ons. They were dis.ributed on acces.ible areas.on the limbs. The exact diagnos.s.was.not reached for at leas. few weeks.after keros.ne injection. The patients.denied any keros.ne injection, but after a while they all admitted that the caus. of their ras., s.vere emotional tens.on was.obs.rved at the time of keros.ne injection as.they had s.ciops.chological dis.urbances. The initial ras. was.erythematous.indurated tender plaque that was.gradually increas.ng in s.ze s.mulating the picture of panniculitis.and then followed by rupture of les.on and as.ociated pyoderma, forming chronic dis.harging ulcer. Patients.were managed by topical and s.s.emic antibiotics.until complete res.lution leaving a big ugly s.ar that was.treated by topical s.eroids.to improve its.cos.etic appearance. Conclus.ons. Keros.ne intradermal injection is.an increas.ng problem among Iraqi adult females.and it s.ould be s.s.ected in any patient with chronic dis.harging ulcer on acces.ible areas.like limbs.

In this paper, we derived a new distribution named as truncated Weibull Rayleigh (TW-R) distribution. Its characterization and statistical properties are obtained, such as reliability function, hazard function, reversed s.an>s.an>hazard rate function, cumulative hazard rate function, quantile function, rth moment, incomplete moments, Rényi and q entropies and order statistic. Parameter estimation is implemented using method of maximum-likelihood estimation and Fisher information matrix is derived. Finally, application of the presented new distribution to a real data representing the failure times of 63 airbcrafts.an>s.an> s.an>s.an>Windshield is given and its goodness-of-fit is demonstrated. Background: Ketoconazole was.introduced in 1981 as.the firs. in a s.ries.of antifungal agents.that are characterized by nitrogen-containing ring. Ketoconazole acts.agains. many different kinds.of fungi s.ch as.candida, dermatophytes.and as.pergillus. Als. oral ketoconazole had proved its.effectivenes. in the treatment of cutaneous.Leis.manias.s. Objective: To evaluate the s.fety of oral ketoconazole in the treatment of different s.in dis.as.s.like cutaneous.Leis.manias.s.(CL), tineacapitis. tineacorporis.and tineavers.color. Patients.and Methods. This.is.a s.ngle, blinded, therapeutic, controlled s.udy that was.carried out in the Department of Dermatology, Baghdad Teaching Hos.ital, Baghdad, Iraq, during the time, January 2015 to July 2016. In total, 951 patients.with acute cutaneous.leis.manias.s. tineacapitis. tineacorporis.and tineavers.color were enrolled in this.s.udy. The diagnos.s.was.confirmed by s.ear and his.opathology. Patients.were divided into two groups. 51 patients.in Group 1;24 of them were treated with oral ketoconazole tablets.200 mg twice daily for 6 weeks.and 27 of them were treated orally with a combination of zinc s.lfate 10 mg/kg/day and ketoconazole for 6 weeks. All patients.were s.en regularly every 2 weeks.for 6 weeks.of treatment period, then monthly for the next three months.as.follow up period. Liver enzymes.monitoring was.done for every patient in this.s.udy every two weeks. Elevated liver enzymes.were cons.dered as.features.of hepatotoxicity in the examined patients. While group 2 included 900 patients.and was.divided into 3 s.bgroups. A: 600 patients.with tineacapitis.and tineacorporis. B: 100 patients.with tineavers.color, and C: 200 patients.with CL. All patients.in group 2 were treated with oral KC tablets.200 mg twice daily for 6 weeks. The dos. of oral KC in children is.3.3 - 6.6 mg/Kg/day. Treatment of Bas.l Cell Carcinoma by Topical 25% Podophyllin s.lution

Background: Bas.l cell carcinoma is.the mos. common malignancies.of the s.in. Numerous.modalities.of treatment are available. Podophyllin is.an antimitotic and caus.ic agent that has.been us.d in treatment of genital warts. Objective: To tes. the effectivenes. and s.fety of topical 25% podophyllin in treatment of bas.l cell carcinoma. Patients.and Methods. Thirty eight patients.with bas.l cell carcinoma enrolled in this.open labeled interventional s.udy that had been enrolled in Department of Dermatology-Baghdad Teaching Hos.ital, Baghdad, from January 2010 to October 2011. His.ory and phys.cal examination was.performed to all patients.regarding all demographics.detail related to the dis.as.. Exclus.on criteria: were pregnancy, recurrent tumors. aggres.ive deep s.btypes. morpheaic type, and s.ze more than 2 cm2 in diameter. Biops.es.for all patients.were done for his.opathological examination at the firs. vis.t, and after clinical cure of the les.ons. Les.ons.were treated with 25% topical podophyllin s.lution once weekly for 6 weeks. Follow up after clinical cured was.done every 3 months.up to 18 months.to recording any s.gn and s.mptom of recurrent. Res.lts. Thirty five patients.with bas.l cell carcinoma completed the s.udy: 28 (80%) males.and 7(20%) females.with males.to females.ratio 4:1, their ages.ranged from 30 - 87 (64.114 ± 12.68) years. and the duration of the dis.as. ranged from 2 months.to 30 years.(6.88. ± 4.83) years. The s.ze of les.ons.ranged from 0.8 - 1.9 (1.454 ± 0.239) cm. The total podophyllin applications.number ranged from 2 - 6 (4.65 ± 1.055) s.s.ions. The total numbers.of treated les.ons.were 100 les.ons. 64 (64%) nodular, 31(31%) pigmented, 3(3%) Bas.s.uamous. and 2 (2%) s.perficial. Ninety s.x (96%) les.ons.in 32 patients.s.owed complete cure with 2 - 6 s.s.ions. while 4 les.ons.in 3 patients.s.owed partial res.ons. with 6 s.s.ions. Biops. from 21 cured les.ons.in 21 patients.s.owed complete clearnes. apart from one with res.dual malignant

Vaginal Trachelectomy for Retained Cervical s.ump after s.pracervical Hys.erectomy: Technical Tips.and Outcomes

Background and Objectives. The s.pracervical hys.erectomy (s.H) has.res.lted in a group of patients.with a retained cervix at ris. of pers.s.ent s.mptoms. who may require a trachelectomy in the future. This.s.udy was.to evaluate the efficacy of vaginal trachelectomy (VT) after a previous.s.H. Methods. This.was.a pros.ective s.udy that includes.13 cas.s.with different ages.and different complaints. s.aring the s.me primary operation s.pracervical hys.erectomy. They have different pathologies.of the s.H s.ecimen but they s.are the s.me completion s.rgery. The s.rgical outcome was.analyzed. Res.lts. Thirteen patients.underwent vaginal trachelectomy for recurrent s.mptoms. The ages.of patients.were ranged from 37 years.to 68 years.(Mean ± s., 56.4 ± 10.7). s.H was.mos. commonly performed for abnormal uterine bleeding AUB (7/13, 53.8%), pelvic mas. (5/1, 38.5%), and pelvic pain (1/13, 7.7%), the s.mptoms.leading to vaginal trachelectomy were the s.me as.thos. leading to s.pracervical hys.erectomy. The median interval time from s.H to s.eking medical help for the pers.s.ence or recurrence of s.mptoms.and to VT was.2 weeks.(1 to 96 weeks.. Concomitant procedures.were laparos.opic removal of both ovaries.in 2 cas.s.and pelvic lymphadenectomy in 1 cas.. The median length of operation was.45 minutes. In all cas.s. s.mptoms.leading to trachelectomy res.lved completely after s.rgery, and patients.reported a s.gnificant improvement. Conclus.ons. The cervix, left behind at s.btotal hys.erectomy, requires.removal, the vaginal route is.probably the s.fes., and leas. traumatic. Vaginal radical trachelectomy appears.to be feas.ble and s.fe for the treatment of endometrial malignancy dis.overed after s.pracervical hys.erectomy.

Objective: To es.imate the effects.of the water extract of dates.palm (Phoenix dactylifera) (DWE) on s.erm quality parameters. tes.os.erone level and s.rum antioxidants.activities.of New Zealand rabbits.under heat s.res.. Methods. A total of 30 bucks.of New Zealand White rabbits.were randomly divided into three equal groups.as.follows. Group 1 was.treated as.control group and fed on balanced commercial ration. Groups.2 and 3 were treated with 10 and 20 mL of dates.extract s.bs.ituting water in the early morning before watering and fed on balanced commercial ration. This.s.hedule was.performed daily for 5 days.week, for an experimental period of 5 weeks. Fertility parameters.s.ch as.reaction time, potential of hydrogen ion (pH), mas. motility, individual progres.ive motility %, percentage of live s.erm and abnormal s.erm (%) were meas.red. Blood s.rum tes.os.erone level, s.rum glutathione reduced, nitric oxide, as.orbic acid and malondialdehyde were als. determined. Res.lts. The daily oral adminis.ration of 10 mL DWE s.gnificantly increas.d the pH, the mas. motility and individual progres.ive motility % compared to the control group. Although, the cons.mption of 20 mL DWE s.gnificantly (Ps.d the live s.erm% and decreas.d the abnormal s.erm % compared to the other two treatments. The adminis.ration of date extracts.(10 and 20 mL) had s.gnificantly (Ps.d nitric oxide and glutathione reduced levels.compared to the control. On the other hand, it increas.d s.gnificantly the lipid peroxidation, as.orbic acid and tes.os.erone level compared to the control. Conclus.ons.The aqueous.extract of date palm (10-20 mL) could enhance the rabbit bucks.fertility and its.health performance.

Length-weight relations.ips.（LWRs. were determined for fis. s.ecies.Diplodus.vulgaris.from the Benghazi coas. along the eas.ern Mediterranean s.a coas. of Libya. s.mples.were collected us.ng trammel nets. The parameters.a and b from the LWR formula W = aLb were es.imated. The values.of the exponent b of the length-weight relations.ips.in all categories.range between 2.295 in s.ptember to 3.208 in Augus.. The total number of fis. s.mples.inves.igated were 290, from which 179 were males. 41 females.and 70 fis.es.immature. The s.x ratio male to female were 4.3：1. In January, Augus. and Females.the s.ope ＂b＂ clos. to equal 3, were the categories.exhibited is.metric relations.ip, in s.ptember, October and November were s.ope ＂b＂ not equal 3, which the categories.exhibited negative allometric relations.ip. The mean obs.rved length of male was.18.29 cm at mean obs.rved weight 114.8 g, and mean obs.rved length of female was.19.15 cm at mean obs.rved weight 133.97 *** general equation for the length-weight relations.ip for both s.x was. W = 0.03835L277, for male was. W = 0.036 L274, for female, W = 0.016 L302.

Lymphoma might occur in as.ociation with s.rcoidos.s.or s.rcoidos.s.might be combined with lymphoma, in s. called (“s.rcoidos.s.lymphoma s.ndrome”). This.s.ndrome is.well reported in medical literature. The ques.ion, which one s.arts.before is.difficult to ans.er, as.in s.me cas.s.s.rcoidos.s.s.arts.firs. then is.followed by lymphoma but in other cas.s.during the cours. of lymphoma s.rcoid reaction might be s.en. In the pres.nt report, we des.ribe a cas. of 60 years.male patient that is.pres.nted with a ras. with clas.ical s.rcoid pathology that overtime changes.into typical lymphoma ended with death.
