Zinc oxide uniform nanostructures with novel morphologies were synthesized through simple and fast ammonia based controlled precipitation method in aqueous media and in the absence of any additive. Selected batches of the synthesized solids were characterized by SEM, XRD, FTIR and TG/DTA. FTIR analysis revealed that the morphology of nanostructures had little effect on their IR spectral profile of the synthesized material. The as-prepared, calcined and commercial ZnO nanostructures (ZnO-AP, ZnO-Cal and ZnO-Com) were then employed as gas sensors for the detection of ammonia, acetone and ethanol. ZnO-AP and ZnO-Cal based sensors showed superior and reproducible performance towards 1×10^-6 ammonia with gas response of 63.79% and 66.87% and response/recovery time of 13 and 3 s, respectively, at room temperature (29℃). This was attributed to the unique morphology and remarkable uniformity in shape and size of the synthesized nanostructures. In contrast, the ZnO-Com based sensor did not respond to ammonia concentration less than 200×10^-6. In addition, ZnO-Cal showed high selectivity to ammonia as compared to acetone and ethanol at room temperature. Moreover, the lowest detection limit was 1×10^-6, which demonstrates excellent ammonia sensing characteristics of the synthesized ZnO.

On the Line Graph of the Complement Graph for the Ring of Gaussian Integers Modulo n

The line graph for the complement of the zero divisor graph for the ring of Gaussian integers modulo n is studied. The diameter, the radius and degree of each vertex are determined. Higher Order Strongly Biconvex Functions and Biequilibrium Problems

In this paper, we introduce and study some new classes of biconvex functions with respect to an arbitrary function and a bifunction, which are called the higher order strongly biconvex functions. These functions are nonconvex functions and include the biconvex function, convex functions, and k-convex as special cases. We study some properties of the higher order strongly biconvex functions. Several parallelogram laws for inner product spaces are obtained as novel applications of the higher order strongly biconvex affine functions. It is shown that the minimum of generalized biconvex functions on the k-biconvex sets can be characterized by a class of equilibrium problems, which is called the higher order strongly biequilibrium problems. Using the auxiliary technique involving the Bregman functions, several new inertial type methods for solving the higher order strongly biequilibrium problem are suggested and investigated. Convergence analysis of the proposed methods is considered under suitable conditions. Several important special cases are obtained as novel applications of the derived results. Some open problems are also suggested for future research.

Some new systems of exponentially general equations are introduced and investigated, which can be used to study the odd-order, non-positive and nonsymmetric exponentially boundary value problems. Some important and interesting results such as Riesz-Frechet representation theorem, Lax-Milgram lemma and system of absolute values equations can be obtained as special cases. It is shown that the system of exponentially general equations is equivalent to nonlinear optimization problem. The auxiliary principle technique is used to prove the existence of a solution to the system of exponentially general equations. This technique is also used to suggest some new iterative methods for solving the system of the exponentially general equations. The convergence analysis of the proposed methods is analyzed. Ideas and techniques of this paper may stimulate further research.

The recovery of pectin from citrus peel waste for application in the food,nutraceutical,pharmaceutical,and medical industries has attracted much *** has been postulated that the presence of polyphenols,sometimes regarded as an impurity,in extracted pectin might confer enhanced biological *** research study aimed at investigating the physicochemical and biological properties(antioxidant,enzyme inhibitory,and cytotoxic properties)of pectin extracted from the alcohol insoluble residues of the peel waste of grapefruit,lime,and lemon as well as the pectin recovered from untreated peel *** rheological behavior of the pectin samples was also *** methoxyl pectin with galacturonic acid content greater that 60%was recovered from the different raw *** obtained from untreated material possessed high phenolic content(19.83-5.94 mg gallic acid equivalent/g sample)and showed higher antioxidant *** against pancreatic cholesterol esterase,pancreatic lipase,andα-glucosidase was observed and pectin enriched with polyphenol showed higher *** of pectin samples to healthy Vero cells enhanced proliferation and did not show cytotoxic *** solutions extracted from untreated lime and untreated grapefruit presented highest viscosity and elastic modulus,which were comparable to those obtained for commercial high-methoxyl *** extracted from lime,lemon,and grapefruit peels possessed interesting biological and viscoelastic properties,which can be exploited for development of novel bioproducts.

Influence of Magnetic Treatment on Salts Leaching： From Soils of Different Salinity Levels

Leaching behavior of individual ions from three saline soils （S1 = 85.0 dS/m, S2 = 53.92 dS/m and S3 = 38.14 dS/m） under magnetic water （MW） treatment or non-magnetized well water （WW） was investigated in column study. After five pore volumes, soil electrical conductivity （EC） decreased to a range between 2.99-3.29 dS/m under the two water treatments. The rate of soluble cations leached was Na＋〉 Ca2＋〉 Mg2＋〉 K＋ and CI- 〉 SO42- 〉 HCO3- for anions under the two water treatments. The greater amount of salt leached was during the first two pore volumes and was higher under MW treatment. Among soils, the higher the initial EC, the greater the amount of the salt leached. Measurements of the exchangeable Na~ performed at the end of leaching experiment showed a high decrease in soil exchangeable Na＋ compared to the initial values of sodium adsorption ratio （SAR） and exchangeable sodium percentage （ESP） in the soil indicated that there was no prospects of soil sodification after leaching with five pore volumes.

研究了番茄的光合作用对等渗Ca(NO3)2和NaCl处理的响应。在等渗条件下120mmol LNaCl和80mmol LCa(NO3)2胁迫后,番茄叶片的叶绿素a、叶绿素b、总叶绿素含量、Chl a Chl b比值、净光合速率(Pn)、气孔导度(Gs)、原初光能转换效率(Fv Fm)、光合电子传递量子效率(ΦPSII)、Fv Fo、光化学猝灭系数(qP)均呈下降趋势,以NaCl处理的下降幅度大于Ca(NO3)2处理;而Ca(NO3)2处理的胞间CO2浓度(Ci)呈下降趋势,NaCl处理的Ci呈升高趋势。因此,两种盐处理均对番茄植株光合作用造成了伤害,NaCl造成的伤害较Ca(NO3)2较为严重,Ca(NO3)2胁迫净光合速率下降可能是气孔限制所引起的,而NaCl胁迫净光合速率下降可能是由非气孔因子限制引起的。
