Based on the common approach,the adaptation length in sediment transport is normally estimated astemporally ***,this approach might not be theoretically justified as the process of reaching the sediment transport equilibrium stage is affected by the flow conditions in time,especially for fast moving flows,such as scour-hole developing *** this study,the two-dimensional(2D) shallow water formulation together with a sediment continuity-concentration(SCC) model were applied to flow with mobile sediment boundary.A timevarying approach was proposed to determine the sediment transport adaptation length to simulate the sediment erosion-deposition *** proposed computational model was based on the Finite Volume(FV) *** Monotone Upwind Scheme of Conservative Laws(MUSCL)-Hancock scheme was used with the Harten Lax van Leer-contact(HLLC) approximate Riemann solver to discretize the FV *** the flow applications of this paper,a highly discontinuous dam-break,fast sediment transport flow was used to calibrate the proposed timevarying sediment adaptation length *** the calibrated model was further applied to two separate experimental sediment transport flow applications documented in the literature,i.e.a highly concentrated sediment transport flow in a wide alluvial channel and a sediment aggradation *** agreement with the experimental data were obtained with the proposed model *** tests prove that the proposed model,which was calibrated by the discontinuous dam-break bed scouring flow,also performed well to represent rapid bed change and steady sediment mobility conditions.

This paper studies the dynamical behavior of an HIV-1 infection model with satu- rated virus-target and infected-target incidences with Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte （CTL） immune response. The model is incorporated by two types of intracellular distributed time delays. The model generalizes all the existing HIV-1 infection models with cell-to- cell transmission presented in the literature by considering saturated incidence rate and the effect of CTL immune response. The existence and global stability of all steady states of the model are determined by two parameters, the basic reproduction number （R0） and the CTL immune response activation number （R1）. By using suitable Lyapunov functionals, we show that if R0≤1, then the infection-free steady state So is globally asymptotically stable; if R1≤1〈R0, then the CTL-inactivated infection steady state S1 is globally asymptotically stable; if R1〉1, then the CTL-activated infection steady state S2 is globally asymptotically stable. Using MATLAB we conduct some numerical simulations to confirm our results. The effect of the saturated incidence of the HIV-1 dynamics is shown.

Food allergy is a major health issue worldwide. Mast cells play a very important role in the immediate hypersensitivity for which mast cell degranulation needs to be studied extensively. In this study, an approach was taken to study the characteristics of sensitized mast cell degranulation in vitro, which associated with the study of mast cells and animal models. BALB/c mice were immunized respectively by several food allergens, then blood and peritoneal mast cells were collected at different time points. A dynamic determination was carried out between mast cells and serumal IgE. Comparative analysis on sequential time points showed that there was a close coincidence between mast cell degranulation and IgE antibody titers in sensitized BALB/c mice. Furthermore, it is interesting that sensitized mast cells could implement specific degranulation against the challenges in vitro, but the closely tropomyosins induced mast cell degranulation displayed cross reactions. This is very similar to IgE resisting the allergens in vivo. The study disclosed some characteristics on mast cells, coming from sensitized BALB/c mice, degranulation in vitro.

This paper reported a novel coating approach to deposit a （HA） film on Ti6Al4V alloy with Al2O3 buffer layer for thin, crack free and nano-structured hydroxyapatite biomedical implants. The Al2O3 buffer layer was deposited by plasma spraying while the HA top layer was applied by dip coating technique. The X-ray diffraction （XRD） and Raman reflections of alumina buffer layer showed α- to γ-Al2O3 phase transformation; and the fractographic analysis of the sample revealed the formation of columnar grains in well melted splats. The bonding strength between Al2O3 coating and Ti6Al4V substrate was estimated to be about 40 MPa. The presence of dip coated HA layer was confirmed using XRD, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX） analysis. The SEM images exhibited that HA top layer enveloped homogenously the troughs and crests of the underneath rough （Ra = 2.91 μm） Al2O3 surface. It is believed that the novel coating approach adopted might render the implant suitable for rapid cement-less fixation as well as biocompatible for longer periods.

When considering the mechanism of the batteries,the capacity reduction at storage(when not in use)and cycling(during use)and increase of internal resistance is because of degradation in the chemical composition inside the *** optimize battery usage,a battery management system(BMS)is used to estimate possible aging effects while different load profiles are requested from the *** is specifically seen in a case when the vehicle is connected to the net(online through BMS).During this process,the BMS chooses the optimized load profiles based on the least aging effects on the battery *** major focus of this paper is to design an algorithm/model for lithium iron phosphate(LiFePO4)*** model of the batteries is based on the accelerated aging test data(data from the beginning of life till the end of life).The objective is to develop an algorithm based on the actual battery trend during the whole life of the *** the analysis of the test data,the complete trend of the battery aging and the factors on which the aging is depending on is identified,the aging model can then be recalibrated to avoid any differences in the production process during cell *** validation of the model was carried out at the end by utilizing different driving profiles at different C-rates and different ambient temperatures.A Linear and non-linear model-based approach is used based on statistical *** parameterization was carried out by dividing the data into small chunks and estimating the parameters for the individual ***-adaptive characteristic map using a lookup table was also *** nonlinear model was chosen as the best candidate among all other approaches for longer validation of 8-month data with real driving data set.

A multivariable regression(MVR) approach is proposed to identify the real power transfer between generators and *** on solved load flow results,it first uses modified nodal equation method(MNE) to determine real power contribution from each generator to ***,the results of MNE method and load flow information are utilized to determine suitable regression coefficients using MVR model to estimate the power *** 25-bus equivalent system of south Malaysia is utilized as a test system to illustrate the effectiveness of the MVR output compared to that of the MNE *** error of the estimate of MVR method ranges from 0.001 4 to 0.007 ***,when compared to MNE method,MVR method computes generator contribution to loads within 26.40 ms whereas the MNE method takes 360 ms for the calculation of same real power transfer ***,MVR method is more suitable for real time power transfer allocation.
