Knowledge and Attitude towards Ionizing Radiation among Patients Attending the King khalid Hospital Najran, Saudi Arabia

Background/Aims: The aim of this study was to evaluate and assess the knowledge and attitude to dose and associated risks caused by Ionizing Radiation (IR) procedures among patients. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study involving 375 consecutive patients, conducted over a period of 4 months from at the radiology unit of King khalid Hospital in Najran for IR procedures using self-administered questionnaires that was developed and distributed with consents and instructions to the participants. Results: About three-quarter (60%) of the patients reported not being worried to undergo radiological tests. The same proportion of the patients also would not have radiological tests if they can tolerate the disease. About half (50%) of the respondents stated that they would not be satisfied if no further radiological tests were required and 52% did not think that radiological procedures can cause hazards and side effects to the body. Also, over half (53%) of the patients reported not knowing that radiological tests can cause cancer;48% would not repeat the radiological tests within six months;and about 69% did not know the importance of Radiology for diagnosis. Conclusion: There is relatively low knowledge and awareness of the risks associated with Ionizing Radiation among patients in the study population. Therefore, there is a need for educating the public and not only medical personnel, about radiation exposure and associated risks.

This manuscript presents a study of three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic Maxwell nanofluid flow across a slendering stretched surface with Joule *** impact of binary chemical reactions,heat generation,thermal radiation,and thermophoretic effect is also taken into *** multiple slip boundary conditions are utilized at the boundary of the *** appropriate similarity variable is used to transfer the flow modeled equations into ODEs,which are numerically solved by the utilization of the MATLAB bvp4c *** involved parameter's impact on the concentration,velocity,and temperature distribution are scrutinized with *** transport rates(mass,heat)are also investigated using the same variables,with the results reported in tabulated *** is seen that the fluid relaxation,magnetic,and wall thickness characteristics diminish the velocities of ***,the velocity,concentration,and temperature slip parameters reduce the velocities of fluid,temperature,and concentration *** results are compared to existing studies and shown to be in dependable agreement.

The Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance of Iraqi Corporations: A Literature Review

This paper aims to explore past researches that examine the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial performance. The researcher intends to conduct researches that examine the relationship between CSR and financial performance in Iraq corporations. This paper highlights review of literatures from various countries that examine relationships between CSR with financial performance. This paper is based on secondary sources which are accumulated from many researches in Malaysia, Australia, UK, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nigerian, and Jordan. The study uses information generated from literature reviewed from different researchers relating to the topic. This method was applied by collecting information from journals and online sources relating to the issue under consideration. Regression analysis documents significant evidence to support a positive relationship between CSR and financial performance. Evidence suggests that CSR leads to good financial performance in Iraq corporations. Findings based on the review revealed that researchers also showed that there was a significant positive relationship between CSR practice and financial performance in Iraq corporations. This study focuses on disclosures made in the corporate annual reports. This is because the annual report is the common document produced by companies on a regular basis and is widely used in prior studies related to CSR. The study provides some important insights for our understanding of CSR in developing economies and its effects on financial performance in the context of Iraq companies.
