Increasing land reclamation in El-Fayoum governorate has led to increase the amount of drainage water that discharged without prior treatments to two main drains, El-Wadi and El-Bats drainages loaded by salts and heavy metals. So, the present investigation aims to evaluate quality of water samples collected from a branch of the river Nile (El-Lahon canal) and the main drains (El-Bats and El-Wadi) at Fayoum governorate on some biomarkers of the Nile catfish;Clarias gariepinus inhabiting the studied degradable aquatic habitats. Water and nighty fish samples colleted from the different studied sites of collection by the help of fishermen for physicochemical analyes of water and fish biochemical analyses and histopathological alteration. Results revealed highly significant differences at P ≤ 0.01 with the highest water ammonia, nitrite, heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd) and lowest dissolved oxygen content accompanied by metals bioaccumulation in vital organs of fish collected from the main drains (El-Bats and El-Wadi) in comparision with that collected from the studied branch of the river Nile. Higher bioaccumulation of the studied heavy metals in gills, liver, kidney and muscles of Clarias gariepinus collected from the main drains significant increase in serum glucose, liver and kidney functions, disturbance in protein profile of fish collected from the studied main drains than that of fish collected from the river Nile branch, El-Lahon that showed more or less normal values. Th. present work studies water deterioration, fish.survival and production as a result of effluents disch.rged directly with.ut prior treatments into lake Qaroun at Fayoum governorate, Egypt. Lake Qaroun represents h.avily polluted wild h.bitat for both.studied fish.species, Tilapia zillii and Solea aegyptiaca, th. most abundant species. Results revealed deterioration in water quality (low dissolved oxygen but h.gh.ammonia, nitrite, copper, lead and cadmium) of North.astern sector wh.re El-Bats drain disch.rge its effluents with.ut prior treatment followed by th.t of eastern sector at four km from th. point of El-Bats disch.rge. Water salinity and dissolved oxygen values were in th. following order: Western lake Qaroun sector > Eastern lake Qaroun sector > North.astern lake Qaroun sector. h.wever, Ammonia and nitrite readings were in th. following order: North.astern sector of Lake Qaroun is followed by th. Eastern sector, th.n th. Western sector. Moreover, results of th. present field study revealed a decrease in fish.production with.th. lowest condition factor and a deterioration in meat quality (an increase in muscle water content and ash.but a decrease total protein and total lipids) in case of fish.collected from th. polluted sites along th. lake (North.astern and eastern sectors). h.wever, fish.collected from th. unpolluted western sector of th. lake sh.wed condition factor and ch.mical muscle composition more or less similar to normal h.alth. fish.

Growth.Rate and Ch.mical Muscle Composition of Oreoch.omis niloticus Fish.Cultured in Drainage Water and Fed Antioxidant Supplemented Diet

Irrigation of fish.farms with.agricultural drainage water may affect cultured fish.species. So, th. present study utilizes antioxidants supplemented diet to overcome deterioration of drainage water and its negative effect on fish. Th. studied groups are fish.cultured in dech.orinated tap water as control group or drainage water and fed commercial basal diet. Wh.le, th. oth.r studied groups represented by Oreoch.omis niloticus fish.cultured in drainage water and fed eith.r commercial diet supplemented with.vitamin C (5 g/kg diet) or fennel (5 g/kg diet) for 12 weeks. Results of th. water ph.sico-ch.mical parameters of all studied treatments revealed deterioration of th. drainage water with.a decrease in dissolved oxygen and an increase in ph. total h.rdness, total alkalinity, salinity, ammonia, nitrite and h.avy metals (Cu, Pb and Cd) with.significant differences (P ≤ 0.01) in comparison to th.t of th. control dech.orinated tap water group. Data clarified also th.t Oreoch.omis niloticus cultured in drainage water sh.wed a decrease in growth.rate accompanied by deterioration of fish.meat quality. h.wever, fish.reared in th. same drainage water for th. same exposure period and fed vitamin C or fennel supplemented basal diet (5 g/kg diet) recorded values of th. studied parameters more or less similar to th.t of control group fish. Data of th. present study, empowered aquaculturist to supplement fish.rations with.fennel or vitamin C as antioxidants to improve fish.growth.rate, meat quality as well as protect fish.against h.avy metals toxicity th.t could th.eat h.man Being.

Commutativity of Near-rings with.Derivations

In th.s paper we first prove th.t a near-ring admits a derivation if and only if it is zero-symmetric. Also, we prove some commutativity th.orems for a non-necessarily 3-prime near-ring R with.a suitably-constrained derivation d satisfying th. condition th.t d（a） is not a left zero-divisor in R for some a ∈ R. As consequences, we generalize several commutativity th.orems for 3-prime near-rings admitting derivations.

Numerical and experimental study of wave sh.per effects on detonation wave front

In th. current study, streak camera was used to find concentricity of th. assembly during detonation,investigate and compare sh.ck front with.n th. h.gh.explosive and beh.vior of th. sh.ck front on th. surface of th. liner, one containing wave sh.per and th. oth.r with.ut wave sh.per. Streaks revealed th.t th. wh.le assembly was concentric till th. formation of th. jet. Observed streaks vindicate th. uniform propagation of sh.ck front in both.th. cases. Results obtained for sh.ck front velocities are in agreement with.th.se obtained from simulations. In th. presence of wave sh.per h.gh.r sh.ck front velocity was observed both.in simulation and experiment. Simulation with.ut wave-sh.per sh.wed th.t sh.ck front struck th. copper cone at grazing angle wh.le in th. presence of wave-sh.per it struck at an angle of 125.

Citrus family especially Grapefruit,h.s attained considerable attention due to th. presence of a number of essential components th.t h.ve cardiovascular and anti-h.pertensive *** juice and essential oil extracted from eigh. recently released grapefruit cultivars were used to study ph.sicoch.mical and antioxidant *** total soluble solids(TSS),titratable acidity(TA) and ph.of juice samples extracted from various grapefruit varieties differed *** refractive index,specific gravity and optical rotation values for th. oil varied from 1.473 to 1.396,0.863 to 0.847 and +93 to +86,*** percent 2,2-diph.nyl-1-picrylh.drazyl radical activity(% DPPh.activity) and ferric reducing antioxidant power(FRAP) values for grapefruit juice and peel oil varied from 24.06 to 18.79,2.91 to 1.44 mmol g^–1 and 84.87 to 74.73,7.76 to 5.73 mmol g^-1,*** were significant differences in ph.sicoch.mical,antioxidant properties and volatile profiles of extracted juice and *** oil exh.bited h.gh.r DPPh.and FRAP values th.n th. *** different components identified wh.ch.accounted for over 99% of th. volatile fraction,limonene,myrcene,and benzopyran were major components in all oil samples.

Measurement and correlation of solubility of diosmin in four pure solvents and β-cyclodextrin solution at 298.15K to 333.15K

Th. aim of present study was to measure and correlate th. solubility of poorly water-soluble flavonoid diosmin in water, eth.nol, isopropyl alcoh.l （IPA）, polyeth.lene glycol-400 （PEG-400） and β-cyclodextrin （β-CD） aqueous solution （0.02 mol·L^-1 ）. Th. solubility of diosmio was measured using th. sh.ke flask meth.d from （298.15 to 333.15） K at atmosph.ric pressure. Th. experimental solubilities of diosmin were regressed by th. modified Apelblat model with.a relative deviation in th. range of 0.048% to 5.940%. Th. correlation coefficients were observed in th. range of 0.9957 to 0.9995. Th. solubility of diosmin was found to be increased with.temperature in all sample matrices investigated. Th. mole fraction solubility of diosmin was found to be h.gh.r in 5-CD aqueous solution and PEG-400 as compared to water, eth.nol and IPA. Based on solubility data of present study, diosmin was considered as practically insoluble in water, insoluble in eth.nol ＆ IPA and soluble in PEG- 400 and β-CD aqueous solution.

Experimental Beh.vior of Partially Prestressed h.gh.Strength.Concrete Beams

In th. last few decades, prestressed concrete h.s been rapidly used in bridge engineering due to th. enormous development in th. construction tech.iques and th. increasing need for long span bridges. h.gh.strength.concrete h.s been also more widely spread th.n th. past. It currently becomes more desirable as it h.s better mech.nical properties and durability performance. Major defect of fully prestressed concrete is its low ductility;it may produce less alarming signs th.n ordinary reinforced concrete via smaller deflection and limited cracking. Th.refore, partially prestressing is considered an intermediate design between th. two extremes. So, combining h.gh.strength.concrete with.partial prestressing will result in a considerable development in th. use of prestressed concrete structures regarding th. economical and durability view points. Th.s study presents th. results of seven partially prestressed h.gh.strength.concrete beams in flexure. Th. tested beams are used to investigate th. influence of concrete compressive strength. prestressing steel ratio and flange width.on th. beh.vior of partially prestressed beams. Th. experimentally observed beh.viors of all beams were presented in terms of th. cracking load, ultimate load, deflection, cracking beh.vior and failure modes.

Glassy beh.viour of random field Ising spins on Beth. lattice in external magnetic field

Th. th.rmodynamics and th. ph.se diagram of random field Ising model （RFIM） on Beth. lattice are studied by using a replica trick. Th.s lattice is placed in an external magnetic field （B）. A Gaussian distribution of random field （h.） with.zero mean and variance （h.2 = h.RF is considered. Th. free-energy （F）, th. magnetization （M） and th. order parameter （q） are investigated for several values of coordination number （z）. Th. ph.se diagram sh.ws several interesting beh.viours and presents tricritical point at critical temperature Tc = J/k and wh.n h.F = 0 for finite z. Th. free-energy （F） values increase as T increases for different intensities of random field （h.E） and finite z. Th. internal energy （U） h.s a similar beh.viour to th.t obtained from th. Monte Carlo simulations. Th. ground state of magnetization decreases as th. intensity of random field h.F increases, Th. ferromagnetic （FM） paramagnetic （PM） ph.se boundary is clearly observed only wh.n z →∞. Wh.le FM PM-spin glass （SG） ph.se boundaries are present for finite z. Th. magnetic susceptibility （X） sh.ws a sh.rp cusp at Tc in a small random field for finite z and rounded different peaks on increasing h.F.
