Transient Non-Thermal Mobility of CO for CO-NO Catalytic Reaction on Square Lattice： Monte Carlo Simulation

We study a model based on precursor mechanism for CO-NO catalytic reaction on square lattice with Monte Carlo simulation. The precursor mechanism clearly demonstrates its impact on the phase diag.am. The steady reactive state （SRS） g.ts established. The width of reactive reg.on increases by increasing.the rang. of precursor mobility. When the precursor mobility is increased to third-nearest neig.bourhood, the second-order transition disappears.

Study of cellulolytic soil fung. and two nova species and new medium

This study is aimed at identifying.and determining.the percentag. of occurrence frequency of cellulose decomposing.soil fung.. The soil samples were inoculated into culture plates prepared in Sabouraud medium under sterilized conditions and incubated at 30 ℃ for 4 to 7 d. The identified fung.l species were incubated in self-desig.ed cellulose medium for testing.their cellulolytic ability. Forty-two species, including. nova species, representing.sixteen g.nera showed g.owth and sporulation in the cellulose medium. Most of the isolated species were from g.nus Asperg.llus and Penicillium. Asperg.llus nig.r and Mucor hiemalis showed hig.est occurrence frequency （45% and 36% respectively）, as these species were collected from about 80% of soil samples. Being.ag.r free and cheaper, the new fung.l medium desig.ed showed results equivalent to Sabouraud medium.

Backg.ound:Acute calculous cholecystitis(ACC)is frequently seen in cirrhotics,with some being.poor candidates for initial ***,these patients may underg. percutaneous cholecystostomy tube(PCT)*** studied the healthcare utilization and predictors of cholecystectomy and PCT in patients with ***:The National Database was queried to study all cirrhotics and non-cirrhotics with ACC between 2010-2014 who underwent initial PCT(with or without follow-up cholecystectomy)or *** patients were divided into compensated and decompensated *** predictors and outcomes of initial PCT and failure to underg. subsequent cholecystectomy were ***:Out of 919189 patients with ACC,13283(1.4%)had *** cirrhotics,cholecystec-tomy was performed in 12790(96.3%)and PCT in the remaining.493(3.7%).PCT was more frequent in cirrhotics(3.7%)than in non-cirrhotics(1.4%).Multivariate analyses showed increased early readmis-sions[odds ratio(OR)=2.12,95%confidence interval(CI):1.43-3.13,Pg.h of stay(effect ratio=1.39,95%CI:1.20-1.61,Pg.ing.initial PCT compared to *** cirrhosis(OR=2.25,95%CI:1.67-3.03,Pg.est odds of g.tting.initial ***,reg.rdless of compensated(OR=0.56,95%CI:0.34-0.90,P=0.020)or decompensated(OR=0.28,95%CI:0.14-0.59,Pg.tting.a subsequent ***:Cirrhotic patients underg. fewer cholecystectomy incurring.initial PCT ***,the rates of follow-up cholecystectomy are lower in *** healthcare utilization is seen with initial PCT among.t cirrhotic *** situation reflects suboptimal manag.ment of ACC in cirrhotics and a call for action.

Mutational analysis of hepatitis E virus ORF1 'Y-domain' : Effects on RNA replication and virion infectivity

AIMTo investig.te the role of non-structural open reading.frame 1 “Y-domain” sequences in the hepatitis E virus (HEV) life *** of human HEV Y-domain (amino acid sequences 216-442) and closely-related viruses were analyzed in silico. Site-directed mutag.nesis of the Y-domain (HEV SAR55) was carried out and studied in the replicon-baculovirus-hepatoma cell model. In vitro transcribed mRNA (pSK-g.P) constructs were transfected into S10-3 cells and viral RNA replicating.g.P-positive cells were scored by flow cytometry. Mutant virions’ infectivity was assayed on naïve Hepg./C3A *** silico analysis identified a potential palmitoylation-site (C336C337) and an α-helix seg.ent (L410Y411S412W413L414F415E416) in the HEV Y-domain. Molecular characterization of C336A, C337A and W413A mutants of the three universally conserved residues showed non-viability. Further, of the 10 consecutive saturation mutants covering.the entire Y-domain nucleotide sequences (nts 650-1339), three constructs (nts 788-994) severely affected virus replication. This revealed the indispensability of the internal sequences but not of the up- or downstream sequences at the transcriptional level. Interesting.y, the three mutated residues corresponded to the downstream codons that tolerated saturation mutation, indicating.their post-translational functional/structural essentiality. In addition, RNA secondary structure prediction revealed formation of stable hairpins (nts 788-994) where saturation mutation drastically inhibited virion *** is the first demonstration of the critical role of Y-domain sequences in HEV life cycle, which may involve g.ne reg.lation and/or membrane binding.in intracellular replication complexes.

Endoscopic ultrasound g.ided liver biopsy(EUS-LB)has emerg.d as a minimally-invasive alternative to the traditional(percutaneous or transjug.lar)liver biopsy techniques for the diag.osis of liver parenchymal ***,EUS-LB combines the advantag.s of percutaneous and transjug.lar liver biopsy in addressing.focused sampling.in addition to measuring.portal ***,EUS-LB facilitates access to both the lobes of the liver which is not considered with the traditional percutaneous liver *** studies have compared EUS-LB with conventional liver biopsy and reported comparable diag.ostic yield,increased acquisition of complete portal tracts,and long.r specimen leng.h as compared to the traditional ***-LB is associated with lesser post-procedural pain and shorter recovery time,while providing.lower risk of complications when compared to traditional liver *** in needle types,needle sizes and suction techniques have aimed at further optimizing.the EUS-LB *** review article updates current literature with focus on the variations in the technique and equipment used for EUS-LB,and compares EUS-LB with traditional methods of liver biopsy.
