The behavior of non-newtonian power-law nanofluids under free convection heat transfer conditions in a cooled square enclosure equipped with a heated fin is investigated *** particular,the impact of nanofluids,composed of water and Al_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),and Cu nanoparticles,on heat transfer enhancement is *** aim of this research is also to analyze the influence of different parameters,including the Rayleigh number(Ra=10^(4)-10^(6)),nanoparticle volume fraction(φ=0%-20%),non-newtonian power-law indexes(n=0.6-1.4),and fin dimensions(Ar=0.3,0.5,and 0.7).Streamlines and isotherms are used to depict flow and related heat transfer *** indicate that thermal performance improves with increasing Rayleigh number,regardless of the nanoparticle type or nanofluid rheological *** suggests that the buoyancy force has a significant impact on heat transfer,particularly near the heat *** nusselt number is more sensitive to variations in Cu nanoparticle volume fractions compared to Al₂O₃and TiO₂.Moreover,the average nusselt numbers for power-law nanofluids with nn>1)are greater(smaller)than for newtonian fluids due to the decrease(increase)in viscosity with increasing(decreasing)shear rate,at the same values of Rayleigh number Ra owing to the amplification(attenuation)of the convective ***,the most substantial enhancement is observed with Cu-water shear-thinning nanofluid,where the nusselt number increases by 136%when changing from newtonian to shear thinning behavior and by 154.9%when adding 16%nanoparticle volume ***,an even larger increase of 57%in the average nusselt number is obtained on increasing the fin length from 0.3 to 0.7.

Half-metallic ferromagnetism,mechanical as well as thermoelectric properties for rare earth-based spinels MgHo_(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional theory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with Perdew-Burke-Ehrenzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate the lattice constant of both spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy show that our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in the cubic *** ferromagnetic(FM)state stability,we also calculated the energy differences am.ng FM,antiferromagnetic(AFM),and non-magnetic(nM)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic phases were also *** used Trans-Blaha improved BeckeJohnson(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic characteristics,which lead to the consistent explanation of half-metallic ferromagnetism,representing the whole band-occupancy in material with exact detail of density of states(DOS).The stable FM state was exam.ned in spinels due to the exchange splitting of Ho cation consisting of p-d hybridizations compatible with the result achieved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sharing charge on studied *** addition,the calculated thermoelectric properties clearly show that operation range of these systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying the potential applications of these systems.

Smart Bubble Sort:A novel and Dynamic Variant of Bubble Sort Algorithm

In the present era,a very huge volume of data is being stored in online and offline *** houses,research,medical as well as healthcare organizations,and academic institutions store data in databases and their subsequent retrievals are performed for further *** the required data from a given database within the minimum possible time is one of the key factors in achieving the best possible performance of any computer-based *** the data is already sorted,finding or searching is comparatively *** real-life scenarios,the data collected from different sources may not be in sorted *** algorithms are required to arrange the data in some order in the least possible *** this paper,I propose an intelligent approach towards designing a smart variant of the bubble sort algorithm.I call it Smart Bubble sort that exhibits dynamic footprint:The capability of adapting itself from the average-case to the best-case *** is an in-place sorting algorithm and its best-case time complexity isΩ(n).It is linear and better than bubble sort,selection sort,and merge *** averagecase and worst-case analyses,the complexity estimates are based on its static footprint *** complexity in worst-case is O(n2)and in average-case isΘ(n^(2)).Smart Bubble sort is capable of adapting itself to the best-case scenario from the average-case scenario at any subsequent stages due to its dynamic and intelligent *** Smart Bubble sort outperforms bubble sort,selection sort,and merge sort in the best-case scenario whereas it outperforms bubble sort in the average-case scenario.

Enhancing Heavy Crude Oil Flow in Pipelines through Heating-Induced Viscosity Reduction in the Petroleum Industry

The process of transporting crude oil across pipelines is one of the most critical aspects of the midstream petroleum *** the present experimental work,the effect of temperature,pressure drop,and pipe diameter on the flow rate of heavy crude oil have been ***,the total discharge and energy losses have been evaluated in order to demonstrate the improvements potentially achievable by using solar heating method replacing pipe,and adjusting the value of the initial pressure *** oil of API=20 has been used for the experiments,with the studied pipelines sections connecting the separator unit to the storage tank operating at a temperature of 25℃-100℃,pressure drop of 3,4,5,and 6 kg/cm^(2),and with pipe diameter of 4,6,and 8 *** results show that on increasing the temperature and/or the pressure drop,the flow rate through the pipeline becomes higher,thus raising the total pumping energy(as the pipe diameter increase),while energy losses increase from the last separator to the storage tank in the field.A pipe diameter increase can also produce a growth of the total pumping energy(i.e.,energy losses increase).The results of the present analysis suggest that employing an optimal temperature(50℃)is needed to ensure good performance.

An Improved Deep Structure for Accurately Brain Tumor Recognition

Brain neoplasms are recognized with a biopsy,which is not commonly done before decisive brain *** using Convolutional neural networks(Cnns)and textural features,the process of diagnosing brain tumors by radiologists would be a noninvasive *** paper proposes a features fusion model that can distinguish between no tumor and brain tumor types via a novel deep learning *** proposed model extracts Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix(GLCM)textural features from MRI brain tumor ***,a deep neural network(Dnn)model has been proposed to select the most salient features from the ***,it manipulates the extraction of the additional high levels of salient features from a proposed Cnn ***,a fusion process has been utilized between these two types of features to form the input layer of additional proposed Dnn model which is responsible for the recognition *** common datasets have been applied and tested,Br35H and FigShare *** first dataset contains binary labels,while the second one splits the brain tumor into four classes;glioma,meningioma,pituitary,and no ***,several performance metrics have been evaluated from both datasets,including,accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,F-score,and training *** results show that the proposed methodology has achieved superior performance compared with the current state of art *** proposed system has achieved about 98.22%accuracy value in the case of the Br35H dataset however,an accuracy of 98.01%has been achieved in the case of the FigShare dataset.

Collaborative Detection and Prevention of Sybil Attacks against RPL-Based Internet of Things

The Internet of Things(IoT)comprises numerous resource-constrained devices that generate large volumes of *** inherent vulnerabilities in IoT infrastructure,such as easily spoofed IP and MAC addresses,pose significant security *** routing protocols designed for wired or wireless networks may not be suitable for IoT networks due to their ***,the Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy networks(RPL)is widely used in IoT ***,the built-in security mechanism of RPL is inadequate in defending against sophisticated routing attacks,including Sybil *** address these issues,this paper proposes a centralized and collaborative approach for securing RPL-based IoT against Sybil *** proposed approach consists of detection and prevention algorithms based on the Random Password Generation and comparison methodology(RPG).The detection algorithm verifies the passwords of communicating nodes before comparing their keys and constant IDs,while the prevention algorithm utilizes a delivery delay ratio to restrict the participation of sensor nodes in *** simulations,it is demonstrated that the proposed approach achieves better results compared to distributed defense mechanisms in terms of throughput,average delivery delay and detection ***,the proposed countermeasure effectively mitigates brute-force and side-channel attacks in addition to Sybil *** findings suggest that implementing the RPG-based detection and prevention algorithms can provide robust security for RPL-based IoT networks.

Multi-criteria decision making(MCDM)is a technique used to achieve better outcomes for some complex business-related problems,whereby the selection of the best alternative can be made in as many cases as *** paper proposes a model,the multi-criteria decision support method,that allows both service providers and consumers to maximize their profits while preserving the best matching process for resource allocation and task *** increasing number of service providers with different service provision capabilities creates an issue for consumers seeking to select the best service *** consumer seeks a service provider based on various preferences,such as price,service quality,and time to complete the *** the literature,the problem is viewed from different perspectives,such as investigating how to enhance task scheduling and the resource allocation process,improve consumers’trust,and deal with network *** paper offers a novel model that considers the preferences of both service providers and consumers to find the best available service provider for each ***,the model adopts the best-worst method(BWM)to gather and prioritize tasks based on consumers’and service providers’***,the model calculates and matches similarities between the sets of tasks from the consumer’s side with the sets of tasks from the provider’s side to select the best service provider for each consumer using the two proposed *** complexity of the two algorithms is found to be O(n3).

The increasing use of fossil fuels has a significant impact on the environment and ecosystem,which increases the rate of *** the high potential of renewable energy sources inYemen and the absence of similar studies in the region,this study aims to exam.ne the potential of wind energy in Socotra *** was done by analyzing and evaluating wind properties,determining available energy density,calculating wind energy extracted at different altitudes,and then computing the capacity factor for a number of wind turbines and determining the *** average wind speed in Socotra Island was obtained from the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority data,only for the five-year data currently *** results showed high wind speeds from June to September(9.85-14.88 m/s)while the wind speed decreased for the rest of the *** average wind speed in the five years was 7.95 m/*** average annual wind speed,wind energy density,and annual energy density were calculated at different altitudes(10,30,and 50 m).According to the International Wind Energy Rating criteria,the region of Socotra Island falls under Category 7 and is classified as‘Superb’for most of the *** study provides useful information for developing wind energy and an efficient wind approach.
