An Experimental Artificial Neural Network Model:Investigating and Predicting Effects of Quenching Process on Residual Stresses of AISI 1035 Steel Alloy

The present study establishes a new estimation model using an artificial neural network(ANN) to predict the mechanical properties of the AISI 1035 *** experiments were designed based on the L16 orthogonal array of the Taguchi method.A proposed numerical model for predicting the correlation of mechanical properties was supplemented with experimental *** quenching process was conducted using a cooling medium called “nanofluids”.Nanoparticles were dissolved in a liquid phase at various concentrations(0.5%,1%,2.5%,and 5% vf) to prepare the *** investigations were done to assess the impact of temperature,base fluid,volume fraction,and soaking time on the mechanical *** outcomes showed that all conditions led to a noticeable improvement in the alloy's hardness which reached 100%,the grain size was refined about 80%,and unwanted residual stresses were removed from 50 to 150 *** 5% of CuO nanoparticles to oil led to the best grain size refinement,while adding 2.5% of Al_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles to engine oil resulted in the greatest compressive residual *** experimental variables were used as the input data for the established numerical ANN model,and the mechanical properties were the *** of 99% of the training network's correlations seemed to be *** estimated result,nevertheless,matched the experimental dataset ***,the ANN model is an effective tool for reflecting the effects of quenching conditions on the mechanical properties of AISI 1035.

Quality Assessment of Online Patient Education Materials for Diabetic Foot

Background: The quality of online Arabic educational materials for diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) is unknown. This study evaluated Arabic websites as patients’ sources of information for DFS. Methods: The study assessed patient-related websites about DFS using a modified Ensuring Quality of Information for Patients (EQIP) tool (score 0 - 35). Specific terms were searched in Google to identify DFS websites;eligibility criteria were applied to 20 pages of search results to select the included websites. Data on country of origin, source types and subtypes, and website traffic were extracted. Additional therapeutic information regarding prevention and conservative, pharmacological, and surgical treatments was also recorded and analyzed. Results: Among 559 websites, 157 were eligible for inclusion. The median EQIP score was 16 out of 35, indicating poor quality in one of three domains (content, identification, or structure). Most sources originated from Arab countries (75.8%) were non-governmental (94.9%), and were medical information websites (46.5%). High-scoring websites were significantly more likely than low-scoring websites to describe information on prevention (30.9% vs. 2.9%, p = 0.001), conservative treatment (34.1% vs. 13%, p = 0.002), or pharmacological treatment (32.5% vs. 16.8%, p = 0.024). There were increased odds of scoring high if a website provided information on prevention (OR = 12.9, 95% CI [1.68 - 98.57], p = 0.014). Conclusion: Most Arabic online patient information on DFS is of poor quality. Quality control measures are needed to ensure accurate health information for the public.

One of the major causes of road accidents is sleepy *** accidents typically result in fatalities and financial losses and disadvantage other road *** studies have been conducted to identify the driver’s sleepiness and integrate it into a warning *** studies have examined how the mouth and eyelids ***,this limits the system’s ability to identify drowsiness ***,this study designed an Accident Detection Framework(RPK)that could be used to reduce road accidents due to sleepiness and detect the location of *** drowsiness detectionmodel used three facial parameters:Yawning,closed eyes(blinking),and an upright head *** model used a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)consisting of two *** initial phase involves video processing and facial landmark coordinate *** second phase involves developing the extraction of frame-based features using normalization *** these phases used OpenCV and *** dataset contained 5017 images with 874 open eyes images,850 closed eyes images,723 open-mouth images,725 closed-mouth images,761 sleepy-head images,and 1084 non-sleepy head *** dataset of 5017 images was divided into the training set with 4505 images and the testing set with 512 images,with a ratio of 90:*** results showed that the RPK design could detect sleepiness by using deep learning techniques with high accuracy on all three parameters;namely 98%for eye blinking,96%for mouth yawning,and 97%for head ***,the test results have provided an overview of how the developed RPK prototype can accurately identify drowsy *** findings will have a significant impact on the improvement of road users’safety and mobility.

Spike architecture inﬂuences both grain weight and grain number per spike,which are the two major components of grain yield in bread wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).However,the complex wheat genome and the inﬂuence of various environmental factors pose challenges in mapping the causal genes that affect spike ***,we systematically identified genes involved in spike trait formation by integrating information on genomic variation and gene regulatory networks controlling young spike development in *** identified 170 loci that are responsible for variations in spike length,spikelet number per spike,and grain number per spike through genome-wide association study and meta-QTL *** constructed gene regulatory networks for young inﬂorescences at the double ridge stage and theﬂoret primordium stage,in which the spikelet meristem and theﬂoret meristem are predominant,respec-tively,by integrating transcriptome,histone modification,chromatin accessibility,eQTL,and protein–pro-tein interactome *** these networks,we identified 169 hub genes located in 76 of the 170 QTL regions whose polymorphisms are significantly associated with variation in spike *** functions of TaZF-B1,VRT-B2,and TaSPL15-A/D in establishment of wheat spike architecture were *** study provides valuable molecular resources for understanding spike traits and demonstrates that combining genetic analysis and developmental regulatory networks is a robust approach for dissection of complex traits.

全球抗生素耐药性和新型抗菌药物短缺问题日益严峻,因此迫切需要发现新的或更有效的抗生素.沙漠生境蕴藏着丰富的链霉菌资源,是新型活性天然产物的重要潜在来源,但其在很大程度上仍未得到充分探索.本研究旨在深入挖掘新疆古尔班通古特沙漠中的可培养链霉菌资源,并探究其抗菌天然产物生物合成潜力.本文利用8种培养基对4份沙漠样品中的链霉菌进行分离、纯化和鉴定,随后对代表性链霉菌进行培养特征观察、次级代谢产物生物合成基因簇(biosynthetic gene cluster,BGC)预测和抗菌活性评价.研究结果显示,共分离得到469株链霉菌,占放线菌总菌株数的44.0%.从64株代表性链霉菌基因组中共预测得到1937个BGCs,分属于1068个基因簇家族(gene cluster family,GCF),其中97.5%的GCFs表现出较高的新颖性和次级代谢功能谱系多样性.此外,通过抗菌活性筛选,发现41株代表性链霉菌对至少一种临床病原菌具有拮抗作用,且其中2株具有广谱抗菌活性.这些发现表明,新疆古尔班通古特沙漠中蕴藏着极为丰富多样的可培养链霉菌资源,且绝大多数具有巨大的次级代谢产物生物合成潜力和较好的抗菌活性,为新型抗生素药物先导化合物的开发提供了重要依据和优良菌种来源.

Planning Target Volume Margin in Linac-Based Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Brain Metastases

Background: The treatment of brain metastases with radiotherapy has shifted to the use of Stereotactic Radio-surgery (SRS). The technical issue of expanding the treatment volume around the Gross Tumor Volume (GTV) is a current debate. Radiotherapy centers use variable GTV-PTV margins, ranging from one to 2 mm. Material and Methods: We performed a dosimetric comparison in plans of twenty patients using three margins: PTV zero, PTV1, and PTV2. We also developed imaginary Peel volumes. These volumes are described as follows: Peel1 = PTV1 − GTV, Peel2 = PTV2 − GTV. Results: Our results showed that the mean PTV volume differed significantly across the different margins (p = 0.000). The V12 of the brain significantly varied as a function of PTV margin (p = 0.000). The target coverage and plan quality indices were not significantly different. The Peel volume dosimetric analysis showed that the mean dose was significantly higher in the nearby normal brain tissue: Peel1 (p = 0.022) and Peel 2 (p = 0.013). Conclusion: According to our dosimetric analysis, expanding the GTV into a PTV by 1 mm margin is more convenient than 2 mm.

Cardiovascular risk factors among older persons with cognitive frailty in middle income country

BACKGROUND Cognitive frailty,characterized by the coexistence of cognitive impairment and physical frailty,represents a multifaceted challenge in the aging *** role of cardiovascular risk factors in this complex interplay is not yet fully *** To investigate the relationships between cardiovascular risk factors and older persons with cognitive frailty by pooling data from two cohorts of studies in *** A comprehensive approach was employed,with a total of 512 communitydwelling older persons aged 60 years and above,involving two cohorts of older persons from previous *** related to cardiovascular risks,namely sociodemographic factors,and cardiovascular risk factors,including hypertension,diabetes,hypercholesterolemia,anthropometric characteristics and biochemical profiles,were pooled for *** frailty was defined based on the Clinical Dementia Rating scale and Fried frailty *** risk was determined using Framingham risk *** analyses were conducted using SPSS version *** Of the study participants,46.3%exhibited cognitive *** risk factors including hypertension(OR:1.60;95%CI:1.12-2.30),low fat-free mass(OR:0.96;95%CI:0.94-0.98),high percentage body fat(OR:1.04;95%CI:1.02-1.06),high waist circumference(OR:1.02;95%CI:1.01-1.04),high fasting blood glucose(OR:1.64;95%CI:1.11-2.43),high Framingham risk score(OR:1.65;95%CI:1.17-2.31),together with sociodemographic factors,i.e.,being single(OR 3.38;95%CI:2.26-5.05)and low household income(OR 2.18;95%CI:1.44-3.30)were found to be associated with cognitive *** Cardiovascular-risk specific risk factors and sociodemographic factors were associated with risk of cognitive frailty,a prodromal stage of *** identification and management of cardiovascular risk factors,particularly among specific group of the population might mitigate the risk of cognitive frailty,hence preventing dementia.

Cardiac rehabilitation helps improve the prognosis and quality of life for patients with heart disease. To show its interest in the African context, in the management of heart disease, a prospective study was carried out. Its objective was to evaluate the effects of physical rehabilitation on cardiac function. Methods: Patients were evaluated at the beginning and at the end of cardiovascular rehabilitation by cardiovascular, biological, and echocardiographic parameters including the size of the heart chambers, the kinetics of the walls, and the systolic function of the ventricles. Results: The study involved 12 patients, 67% of whom were men. After cardiac rehabilitation, the mean hemodynamic constants had not been significantly modified. However, a significant decrease in Total-Cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol and triglyceride levels was noted. Mean fasting blood sugar decreased from 1.25 ± 0.48 g/L to 0.92 ± 0.18 g/L and glycated hemoglobin from 7.72% ± 0.01% to 6.45% ± 0.008%. The echocardiographic parameters studied showed an improvement in the dilation of the heart chambers in 8.33% of the patients, the normalization of the ejection fraction of the left ventricle in 16% patients, the improvement of the kinetic disorders in 16% of patients and recovery of right ventricular systolic function in all patients. Conclusion: Cardiac rehabilitation as a secondary preventive measure for cardiovascular disease has contributed significantly to improving the clinico-biological parameters of the disease.

Application of Remote Sensing and GIS in Mineral Alteration Mapping and Lineament Extraction Case of Oudiane Elkharoub (Requibat Shield, Northern of Mauritania)

The integration of remotely sensed data allowed the successful characterization of the mineral alteration zones of the Oudiane Elkharoub area in the Northeastern part of Reguibat Shield using image transformation techniques. As both chemical and geochemical analyses showed significant Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Mn, Cr, Ni, Th and Y anomalies, it’s very interesting to apply the remote sensing and GIS in mineral resources mapping. The remote sensing is a direct adjunct to the field, lithologic and structural mapping, and more recently, GIS has played an important role in the study of mineralization areas. The integration of several evidential maps highlighted the plausible areas with high concentrations of chlorite, epidote, kaolinite, calcite, alunite, hematite, illite and sulfur among other key mineral alterations that reflect the intensity of hydrothermal effects and the probable sites of ore bodies. The methodological approach integrates geological information acquired from Aster and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS (Operational Land Imager/Thermal InfraRed Sensor) images and a multi-criteria GIS analysis. The superimposition of various lineament and hydrothermal alteration maps and the consideration of precious and base metal indicators allowed the zoning of sites likely to contain mineral concentrations. Remote sensing becomes an important tool for locating mineral deposits in its own right, when the primary and secondary processes of mineralization result in the formation of spectral anomalies. Reconnaissance lithological mapping is usually the first step of mineral resource mapping. This is complimented with structural mapping, as mineral deposits usually occur along or adjacent to geologic structures, and alteration mapping, as mineral deposits are commonly associated with hydrothermal alteration of the surrounding rocks. Ground truthing and laboratory studies including XRD analysis were utilized to verify the results.

Structural analysis by Rietveld refinement of calcium and lanthanum phosphosilicate apatites

Britholites with the general formula Ca10-xLnx（PO4）6-x（SiO4）xF2, （0≤x≤6） are considered to be promising matrices for the confinement of the by-products in the nuclear industry. A thermodynamic study showed that the stability of these compounds de-creased as the substitution rate increased. The present work was an attempt to gain more information about the structural changes in-duced by the substitution, in order to understand the observed stability decrease. The samples were successfully synthesized as a sin-gle-phase apatite by a solid-state reaction between 1200 and 1400 °C. The structural refinement indicated that the La3＋ions preferen-tially occupied the 6（h） sites. A progressive shift of F-along the c-axis outside its ideal position occurred as a result of the substitution increase. This might be the cause of the observed stability decrease, especially as the energies of the La-O, La-F and Si-O bonds are higher than those of Ca-O, Ca-F and P-O. The distribution of La3＋ between the two non-equivalent sites was confirmed by the charge distribution method.
