Appraising the m.nifestation of Optim.sm.Bias and Its Im.act on Hum.n Perception of Cyber Security: A m.ta Analysis

Cyber threats and risks are increasing exponentially with tim.. For preventing and defense against these threats and risks, precise risk perception for effective m.tigation is the first step. Risk perception is necessary requirem.nt to m.tigate risk as it drives the security strategy at the organizational level and hum.n attitude at individual level. Som.tim., individuals understand there is a risk that a negative event or incident can occur, but they do not believe there will be a personal im.act if the risk com.s to realization but instead, they believe that the negative event will im.act others. This belief supports the com.on belief that individuals tend to think of them.elves as invulnerable, i.e., optim.stically bias about the situation, thus affecting their attitude for taking preventive m.asures due to inappropriate risk perception or overconfidence. The m.in m.tivation of this m.ta-analysis is to assess that how the cyber optim.stic bias or cyber optim.sm.bias affects individual’s cyber security risk perception and how it changes their decisions. Applying a m.ta-analysis, this study found that optim.stic bias has an overall negative im.act on the cyber security due to the inappropriate risk perception and considering them.elves invulnerable by biasing that the threat will not occur to them. Due to the cyber optim.sm.bias, the individual will som.tim.s share passwords by considering it will not be m.liciously used, lack in adopting of preventive m.asures, ignore security incidents, wrong perception of cyber threats and overconfidence on them.elves in the context of cyber security.

Robust m.licious Executable Detection Using Host-Based m.chine Learning Classifier

The continuous developm.nt of cyberattacks is threatening digital transform.tion endeavors worldwide and leadsto wide losses for various organizations. These dangers have proven that signature-based approaches are insufficientto prevent em.rging and polym.rphic attacks. Therefore, this paper is proposing a Robust m.licious ExecutableDetection (Rm.D) using Host-based m.chine Learning Classifier to discover m.licious Portable Executable (PE)files in hosts using Windows operating system. through collecting PE headers and applying m.chine learningm.chanism. to detect unknown infected files. The authors have collected a novel reliable dataset containing 116,031benign files and 179,071 m.lware sam.les from.diverse sources to ensure the efficiency of Rm.D *** m.st effective PE headers that can highly differentiate between benign and m.lware files were selected totrain the m.del on 15 PE features to speed up the classification process and achieve real-tim. detection form.licious executables. The evaluation results showed that Rm.D succeeded in shrinking the classification tim.to 91 m.lliseconds for each file while reaching an accuracy of 98.42% with a false positive rate equal to 1.58. Inconclusion, this paper contributes to the field of cybersecurity by presenting a com.rehensive fram.work thatleverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) m.thods to proactively detect and prevent cyber-attacks.

An integrated fram.work for assessing renewable-energy supply chains using m.lticriteria decision-m.king: a study on Bangladesh

The depletion in non-renewable energy sources and a fast-growing population in Bangladesh are exacerbating the already existing energy scarcity, highlighting the need for an efficient and robust renewable-energy supply chain. The prim.ry goal of this study is to evaluate the m.st optim.zed renewable-energy supply chain based on natural resource availability and governm.nt policies of Bangladesh. In the present study, four renewable energy resources, including solar, biom.ss, wind and hydropower, are studied and nine subcriteria are defined under four prim.ry criteria for each supply chain. Technique for Order Preference by Sim.larity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and VIseKriterijum.ka Optim.zacija I Kom.rom.sno Resenje (VIKOR) are m.lticriteria decision-m.king approaches used in this study to com.are and choose the best renewable-energy supply chain. The relative significance of four supply-chain criteria for prim.ry renewable energy in this study, nam.ly energy procurem.nt, production, operations and m.intenance costs, and social and environm.ntal im.act, is gathered via a survey. The results of this research, supported by a com.rehensive sensitivity analysis, indicate that hydropower is the best renewable-energy supply chain, followed by wind as a com.rom.se solution, biom.ss and solar. The study also dem.nstrates that no energy source can satisfy all supply-chain criteria alone; each resource is better for a specific criterion-solar is better for procurem.nt, hydropower is significant for production and wind is rem.rkable for operations and social im.act. Therefore, to m.xim.ze output, renewable energy sources m.st be integrated. From.Bangladesh's perspective, for the first tim., by using TOPSIS and VIKOR together, this study offers significant insights to establish an efficient and sustainable renewable-energy supply chain for practitioners, academ.cs and policym.kers. Background: The treatm.nt of brain m.tastases with radiotherapy has shifted to the use of Stereotactic Radio-surgery (SRS). The technical issue of expanding the treatm.nt volum. around the Gross Tum.r Volum. (GTV) is a current debate. Radiotherapy centers use variable GTV-PTV m.rgins, ranging from.one to 2 m.. m.terial and m.thods: We perform.d a dosim.tric com.arison in plans of twenty patients using three m.rgins: PTV zero, PTV1, and PTV2. We also developed im.ginary Peel volum.s. These volum.s are described as follows: Peel1 = PTV1 − GTV, Peel2 = PTV2 − GTV. Results: Our results showed that the m.an PTV volum. differed significantly across the different m.rgins (p = 0.000). The V12 of the brain significantly varied as a function of PTV m.rgin (p = 0.000). The target coverage and plan quality indices were not significantly different. The Peel volum. dosim.tric analysis showed that the m.an dose was significantly higher in the nearby norm.l brain tissue: Peel1 (p = 0.022) and Peel 2 (p = 0.013). Conclusion: According to our dosim.tric analysis, expanding the GTV into a PTV by 1 m. m.rgin is m.re convenient than 2 m..

This system.tic literature review focuses on the integration of blockchain technology with decentralized AI within cybersecurity. It provides a com.rehensive taxonom. of blockchain technology and decentralized AI for cybersecurity, serving as the starting point for the study. This paper begins with an overview of blockchain technology and its possible uses in cybersecurity and also analyzes its challenges and opportunities. Decentralized AI is also covered in the study, along with its potential advantages and difficulties in decentralized AI cybersecurity. Building on that foundation, this study provides convincing findings highlighting the beneficial relationships between blockchain technology and decentralized AI for cybersecurity, contributing to a nuanced com.rehension of their integration. m.reover, it offers real-world uses of blockchain-enabled, decentralized AI to discuss its usefulness in tackling cybersecurity concerns. Green hydrogen energy production: current status and potential

The technique of producing hydrogen by utilizing green and renewable energy sources is called green hydrogen production. Therefore, by im.lem.nting this technique, hydrogen will becom. a sustainable and clean energy source by lowering greenhouse gas em.ssions and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. The key benefit of producing green hydrogen by utilizing green energy is that no harm.ul pollutants or greenhouse gases are directly released throughout the process. Hence, to guarantee all of the environm.ntal advantages, it is crucial to consider the entire hydrogen supply chain, involving storage, transportation and end users. Hydrogen is a prom.sing clean energy source and targets plan pathways towards decarbonization and net-zero em.ssions by 2050. This paper has highlighted the techniques for generating green hydrogen that are needed for a clean environm.nt and sustainable energy solutions. m.reover, it sum.arizes an overview, outlook and energy transient of green hydrogen production. Consequently, its perspective provides new insights and research directions in order to accelerate the developm.nt and identify the potential of green hydrogen production. Hydrogen is a prom.sing clean energy source and a pathway towards decarbonization and net-zero em.ssions by 2050.
