Objective:To investigate the changes in total phenols,flavonoids,tannins,vitamin E, β-car.tene and antioxidant activity dur.ng soaking of thr.e white sor.hum ***: The changes in total phenols,total ilavonoids,tannins,phenolic acids compounds,flavonoid components,vitamin E,P-car.tene and antioxidant activity dur.ng soaking of sor.hum gr.ins wer. ***:Total phenols,total flavonoids,tannins,vitamin E,P-car.tene and antioxidant activity in r.w sor.hum wer. r.nged fr.m 109.21 to 116.70,45.91 to 54.69,1.39 to 21.79 mg/100 g,1.74 to 5.25,0.54 to 1.19 mg/kg and 21.72%to 27.69%and 25.29%to 31.97%,r.spectively. The above measur.d compounds wer. significantly decr.ased after.soaking.p-Hydr.xybenzoic acid,vanillic acid,syr.ngic acid and cinnamic acid r.pr.sent the major.phenolic acids in Dor.do *** fer.lic acid,p-coumar.c acid,gallic acid and caffeic acid r.pr.sent the major.phenolic acids in *** the other.hand,pr.tocatechuic acid r.pr.sents the major.phenolic acids in *** flavonoids components,Dor.do was the highest var.ety in kampfer.l and nar.ngenin while Shandaweel-6 was the highest var.ety in luteolin, apigenin,hyper.oid,quer.elin and ***,Giza-15 was the highest var.ety in catechin. Phenolic acids,flavonoid compounds and antioxidant activities wer. decr.ased after.soaking. Conclusions:Sor.hum var.eties have moder.te quantities fr.m total phenols,total flavonoids, tannins,phenolic acids compounds,flavonoid components,vitamin E,P-car.tene and antioxidant activity which decr.ased after.soaking.

Impacts of pr.duced water.or.gin on bacter.al community str.ctur.s of activated sludge

The pur.ose of this study was to r.veal how activated sludge communities r.spond to influent quality and indigenous communities by tr.ating two pr.duced water. fr.m differ.nt or.gins in a batch r.actor.in succession. The community shift and compositions wer. investigated using Polymer.se Chain r.action–denatur.ng gr.dient gel electr.phor.sis（PCr.DGGE） and fur.her.6 S r.bosomal DNA（r.DNA） clone libr.r. analysis. The abundance of tar.eted genes for.polycyclic ar.matic hydr.car.on（PAH） degr.dation, nah Ac/phn Ac and C12O/C23 O, was tr.cked to define the metabolic ability of the in situ micr.bial community by Most Pr.bable Number.MPN） PCr. The biosystem per.or.ed almost the same for.tr.atment of both pr.duced water. in ter.s of r.movals of chemical oxygen demand（COD） and PAHs. Sludge communities wer. closely associated with the r.spective influent bacter.al communities（similar.ty 〉 60%）, while one sludge clone libr.r. was dominated by the Betapr.teobacter.a（38%） and Bacter.odetes（30%）and the other.was dominated by Gammapr.teobacter.a（52%）. This suggested that differ.nt influent and water.quality have an effect on sludge community compositions. In addition, the existence of catabolic genes in sludge was consistent with the potential for.degr.dation of PAHs in the tr.atment of both pr.duced water..

Spectr.l collocation method for.solving continuous population models for.single and inter.cting species by means of exponential Chebyshev appr.ximation

In this paper. an efficient and accur.te method is pr.sented to solve continuous population models for.single and inter.cting species using spectr.l collocation method with exponential Chebyshev (EC) functions. The fir.t pr.blem is a logistic gr.wth model in a population, while the second pr.blem is a pr.y-pr.dator.model: Lotka-Volter.a system, the tbir. is a simple 2-species Lotka-Volter.a competition model, and the final one is a pr.y-pr.dator.model with limit cycle per.odic behavior. The high accur.cy of this method is ver.fied thr.ugh some numer.cal examples. The obtained numer.cal r.sults ar. compar.d with other.methods, showing that the pr.posed method gives higher.accur.cy.

Objective:To evaluate thr.e flower. of Hibiscus r.sa-sinensis(***-sinensis),Quisqualis indica(***) and Senna sur.ttensis(***) for.their.antioxidant activity by differ.nt methods in addition to total phenolic,flavonoid and pigment ***:Antioxidant activity of water.ethanol and absolute ethanol extr.cts of thr.e flower.; ***-sinensis,*** and *** was *** antioxidant activity was assessed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picr.lhydr.zyl fr.e r.dical scavenging activity,fer.ous chelating activity,r.ducing power.nitr.c oxide scavenging activity,hydr.xyl r.dical scavenging activity as well as total antioxidant *** flavonoids,total phenols and total pigments including chlor.phylls and car.tenoids wer. measur.d for.the thr.e ***:The r.sults showed that the highest total antioxidant capacity at concentr.tion of 500 mg/L was found in *** as 0.479 ± *** activity of ***,*** and *** flower.extr.cts against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picr.lhydr.zyl r.dical showed the highest activity of(90.20 ± 0.29)% with 500 mg/*** scr.ening of the thr.e flower. extr.cts wer. car.ied out for.alkaloids,flavonoids,saponins,tannins,ster.ids,glycosides,ter.enoids,amino acid and ***-sinensis showed the total phenolic in water.extr.ct of(235.77 ± 14.31) mg/100 g,the other.two flower. *** and *** had the total phenolic in ethanol extr.cts of(937.70 ± 25.06) and(850.30 ± 13.81) mg/100 g,*** the other.hand total flavonoids wer. identified in absolute ethanol extr.cts in the thr.e flower.[(32.83 ± 1.34),(49.24 ± 4.87) and(2.79 ± 0.23) mg/100 g,r.spectively].Conclusions:The extr.cts in the constituents of the thr.e flower. could be used as additives as supplement fr.ctions in foods.

Antibody to el peptide of hepatitis C vir.s genotype 4 inhibits vir.s binding and entr. to HepG2 cells in vitr.

AIM： To analyze the neutr.lizing activity of antibodies against E1 r.gion of hepatitis C vir.s （HCV）. Specific polydonal antibody was r.ised via immunization of New Zealand r.bbits with a synthetic peptide that had been der.ved fr.m the E1 r.gion of HCV and was shown to be highly conser.ed among HCV published genotypes. METHODS： Hyper.immune HCV E1 antibodies wer. incubated over.night at 4 ℃ with ser.m samples positive for.HCV r.A, with vir.l loads r.nging fr.m 615 to 3.2 million IU/mL. Tr.ated ser. wer. incubated with HepG2 cells for.90 min. Blocking of vir.l binding and entr. into cells by anti E1 antibody wer. tested by means of r.PCr.and flow cytometr.. r.SULTS： Dir.ct immunostaining using FITC conjugated E1 antibody followed by Flow cytometr.c analysis showed r.duced mean fluor.scence intensity in samples pr.-incubated with E1 antibody compar.d with untr.ated samples. Fur.her.or., 13 out of 18 positive ser. （72%） showed complete inhibition of infectivity as detected by r.-PCr. CONCLUSION： In house pr.duced E1 antibody, blocks binding and entr. of HCV vir.on infection to tar.et cells suggesting the involvement of this epitope in vir.s binding and entr.. Isolation of these antibodies that block vir.s attachment to human cells ar. useful as ther.peutic r.agents.
