Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of COVID-19 on fetal well-being and per.natal outcomes. Methods: Pr.gnant women with documented COVID-19 infection who visited the antenatal car. clinic of el Shatby Mater.ity Hospital, Alexandr.a, Egypt, fr.m May 2020 to May 2021 wer. selected and classified into thr.e gr.ups accor.ing to the illness sever.ty: mild, moder.te, and sever.. Fetal well-being was examined using the umbilical and cer.br.l Doppler.and nonstr.ss test (NST). The estimated fetal weight and amniotic fluid volume wer. also evaluated. After.deliver., the neonates wer. evaluated thr.ugh Apgar.scor.ng at 1 and 5 min, cor. blood samples, and neonatal nasophar.ngeal swabs. r.sults: Abnor.al umbilical and cer.br.l Doppler.findings, abnor.al NST r.sults, higher.incidence of cesar.an section (CS) and emer.ency CS, and poor.per.natal outcomes wer. obser.ed in sever. cases. Moder.te and mild mater.al infections had neither.an adver.e per.natal outcome nor.an effect on the mode of deliver.. Conclusion: Sever. COVID-19 infection can affect the per.natal outcome.

Knowledge about plant diver.ity along distur.ance gr.dients is essential for.conser.ation and management of fr.gmented coastal *** study examined the effects of human distur.ance intensity in coastal habitats of Kuwait on diver.ity,composition,identity and assemblage of vascular.plant *** sur.ey data fr.m 113 plots （5m×5m each） wer. r.ndomly selected in 51 sites at coastal fr.gmented habitats at thr.e levels of distur.ance intensities （high,moder.te and low） and wer. statistically *** r.sults r.vealed that about 76% of the r.cor.ed species ar. consider.d thr.atened species in Kuwait,most of which ar. being lost in high distur.ed *** led to the dominance of Zygophyllum qatar.nse,Cor.ulaca aucher. and Salsola imbr.cata,which ar. species of distur.ance ***,total plant cover.and species diver.ity wer. higher.in moder.te and low distur.ed habitats than in high distur.ed *** diver.ity between high and low distur.ed habitats was higher.than either.between high and moder.te,or.between moder.te and low distur.ed *** analyses showed statistically significant differ.nces in composition of plant assemblages,which indicate high beta diver.ity between the habitat *** ur.anization and industr.alization ar. among the most ser.ous thr.ats that contr.bute to declines in biological diver.ity and r.pid fr.gmentation of coastal habitats in *** pr.tective enclosur.s in the distur.ed habitats,planting endanger.d and vulner.ble species,and establishing a natur.l r.ser.e at Nuwaiseeb ar. r.commended conser.ation actions to avoid loss of the fr.gmented coastal habitats and to facilitate r.stor.tion of native plants.

Nanoscience is a development concept in the field of agr.cultur.. Water.scar.ity is one of the most ser.ous str.sses that r.str.ct gr.wth of plant. This sear.h was done to value the positive and negative influence of ZnO nanopar.icles on wheat plant gr.wth under.dr.ught str.ss. A gr.en synthesis technique was used to pr.duce pollutant-fr.e nano str.ctur.s. A field exper.ment was car.ied out dur.ng successive season (2019/2020). NP-Zn-O was applied either.by seed-soaking, foliar.spr.ying, or.both together.applications. The dose of ZnO NPs was 100 mg/l. Data showed that dr.ught str.ss r.duced the gr.in and shoot wheat yield. The use of differ.nt for.s of ZnO impr.ved the gr.in and shoot wheat yield, these incr.ases r.ached 1.16-, 1.54-fold that contr.l. In addition, one of the other.effects of Zn-O-NPs is to incr.ase the levels of chlor.phyll and pr.line antioxidants in plant tissues, as it is a cofactor.for.enzymes such as super.xide dismutase and catalase. The data suggest that the r.le of ZnO NPs is not only to impr.ve plant gr.wth and physiological par.meter., but also to impr.ve nutr.ent uptake and plant nutr.ent levels. In this r.gar., the use of zinc in the for. of ZnO NPs has a positive effect on r.ducing the adver.e effects of dr.ught conditions and impr.ving the nutr.tional quality of plants.

This paper.discusses a sear.h pr.blem for.a Helix tar.et motion in which any infor.ation of the tar.et position is not available to the sear.her.. Ther. exist thr.e sear.her. star. sear.hing for.the tar.et fr.m the or.gin. The pur.ose of this paper.is to for.ulate a sear.h model and finds the conditions under.which the expected value of the fir.t meeting time between one of the sear.her. and the tar.et is finite. Also, the existence of the optimal sear.h plan that minimizes the expected value of the fir.t meeting time is shown. Fur.her.or.,this optimal sear.h plan is found. The effectiveness of this method is illustr.ted by using an example with numer.cal r.sults.

Aim of the study: Examing the r.le of Methylene tetr.-hydr.folate r.ductase (MTHFr.C677T) polymor.hisms in unexplained female infer.ility. Methods: The study was conducted on women with unexplained infer.ility attending the Infer.ility Clinic at el-Shatby Univer.ity Hospital, Alexandr.a, dur.ng the per.od fr.m October.2020 to October.2021. Uter.ne ar.er. Doppler.assessment and detection of MTHFr.C677T gene mutation wer. done. The fr.quencies of homozygous and heter.zygous gene mutations wer. deter.ined. r.sults: In gr.up I, 35 cases had abnor.al uter.ne ar.er. Doppler.compar.d to 22 nor.al cases in gr.up II. As r.gar.s MTHFr.C677T gene mutation, 19 cases wer. positive in gr.up I (7 wer. homozygous and 12 wer. heter.zygous) and only one case was positive in gr.up II (heter.zygous) which was statistically significant. Conclusion: MTHFr.C677T gene polymor.hisms may play a r.le in unexplained infer.ility.

The effect of car.on black （CB） and gr.phite （G） powder. on the macr.scopic and nano-scale fr.e volume pr.per.ies of silicone r.bber.based on poly（di-methylsiloxane）（PDMS） was studied thr.ugh ther.al and cyclic mechanical measur.ments, as well as with positr.n annihilation lifetime spectr.scopy （PALS）. The melting temper.tur. of the composites （Tm） and the endother.ic enthalpy of melting （ΔHm） wer. estimated by differ.ntial scanning calor.metr. （DSC）. Tm and the degr.e of cr.stallinity （χc） of PDMS composites wer. found to decr.ase with incr.asing the CB content. This can be explained due to the incr.ase in physical cr.ss-linking which r.sults in a decr.ase in the cr.stallite thickness. Besides, χc was found to be dependent on the filler.type. Cyclic str.ss-str.in behavior.of PDMS loaded with differ.nt contents of filler.has been studied. Mullins r.tio （r.） was found to be dependent on the filler.type and content. It was found that, r. incr.ases with incr.asing the filler.content due to the incr.ase in physical cr.ss-linking which r.sults in a decr.ase in the size of fr.e volume, as obser.ed thr.ugh a decr.ase of the o-Ps lifetime τ3 measur.d by PALS. Mor.over. the hyster.sis in PDMS-CB composites was mor. pr.nounced than in PDMS-G composites. Fur.her.or., a cor.elation was established between the fr.e volume Vf and the mechanical pr.per.ies of PDMS composites containing differ.nt filler.. A negative cor.elation was obser.ed between Vf and r..

With r.spect to conduction mechanism, the small polar.n hopping （SPH） and the var.able r.nge hopping （Vr.） models wer. used to ex- amine conduction in the semiconducting r.gion.
