AIM: To analyze the impact of steroid maintenance on the outcomes in kidney transplant recipients stratified by induction agent ***: Patients who underwent first-time deceased donor kidney transplantation between 2000 and 2008 after receiving induction therapy with rabbitantithymocyte globulin(r-ATG), alemtuzumab or an interleukin-2 receptor blocker(IL-2B) and discharged on a calcineurin inhibitor(CNI)/mycophenolate mofetil(MMF)-regimen along with or without steroids were identified from the Organ Procurement and Transplant Network/United Network of Organ Sharing *** each induction type, adjusted overall and deathcensored graft as well as patient survivals were compared between patients discharged on steroid vs no steroid. Among r-ATG induced patients, analysis was repeated after splitting the group into low and high immune risk ***: Among the 37217 patients included in the analysis, 17863 received r-ATG(steroid = 13001, nosteroid = 4862), 3028 alemtuzumab(steroid = 852, no-steroid = 2176) and 16326 IL-2B(steroid = 15008, no-steroid = 1318). Adjusted overall graft survival was inferior(HR = 1.16, 95%CI: 1.06-1.27, P = 0.002) with similar death-censored graft survival(HR = 0.99, 95%CI: 0.86-1.14, P = 0.86) for steroid vs no-steroid groups in r-ATG induced patients. Both adjusted overall and death-censored graft survivals for steroid vs nosteroid groups were similar in alemtuzumab(HR = 0.92, 95%CI: 0.73-1.15, P = 0.47 and HR = 0.87, 95%CI: 0.62-1.22, P = 0.43 respectively) and IL-2B(HR = 1.05, 95%CI: 0.91-1.21, P = 0.48 and HR = 0.94, 95%CI: 0.75-1.18, P = 0.60 respectively) induced groups. Adjusted patient survivals were inferior for steroid vs nosteroid groups in r-ATG induced(HR = 1.31, 95%CI: 1.15-1.49, P < 0.001) but similar in alemtuzumab(HR = 1.02, 95%CI: 0.75-1.38, P = 0.92) and IL-2B(HR = 1.17, 95%CI: 0.97-1.40, P = 0.10) induced patients. Vertical cultivation is the most important method in the future spatially in smart agriculture systems. The fourth different thickness soilless textile was used as the board to cultivate water-cress (Eruca Sativa). The vacuum pump model VRI V3 Dual Stage Vacuum Pump was constructed and used in the preliminary experimental test. It’s run to measure the water content and water absorption percentage for soilless board under lab conditions. Different tests were evaluated for the absorption sample after elapsed time 0.08, 0.17, 0.25, 5, 24 and 120 hours. Soilless board textile with thickness 32 mm, 26 mm, 21 mm and 16 mm made from the following material: woven fabric of Cotton. The four mattresses of smart textile as soilless vertical cultivation, measuring 40 cm width 60 cm length were created;it has filler from soft sawdust, a mixture of red (beech) and white (Swedish) wood. The result of preliminary test illustrated that the soilless board may be able to keep the amount of water for more than 72.3% after 5 days from edit water to soilless board. The soilless smart with 32 mm thickness gave highly growths of water-cress compared with the other smart mattress.

The zwitterionic compound,levofloxacin,was determined for the first time at different pH values in pure samples,pharmaceutical preparations and spiked serum and urine *** types of potentiometric sensors including poly(vinyl chloride)membrane electrode,carbon paste electrode and screen printed electrode,containing the ion pair levofloxaciniumphosphomolybdate as the electroactaive species,were used for this *** effect of pH is the key factor in determining the ratio of the different species that can exist in the medium(zwitterionic,monocationic,dicationic,anionic and neutral),and so it is the controller of the electrochemical *** different sensors were fully characterized and optimized in terms of composition,pH effect,selectivity,response and *** different sensors showed reliable reversibility and could be utilized for the determination of the drug in real spiked physiological fluids with reliable recovery values.

Aim:To assess the relation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and antioxidants in the internal spermatic vein blood compared to the peripheral venous ***:Sixty-eight infertile oligoasthenozoospemic patients associated with varicocele were *** inguinal varicocelectomy,blood samples of internal sper- matic as well as median cubital veins were *** ROS factors(malondialdehyde[MDA],hydrogen peroxide H_2O_2,nitric oxide[NO])and four antioxidants(superoxide dismutase[SOD],catalase[Cat],glutathione peroxidase[GPx] and vitamin C)were estimated in these blood ***:Mean levels of tested ROS factors were significantly higher in the internal spermatic venous blood compared to those in the peripheral one (mean±SD)(MDA 18.7±1.4 nmol/mL vs.15.4±1.4 nmol/mL,H_2O_2 43.6±8.0 μmol/mL vs.30.8±8.1 μmol/mL,NO 2.3±0.5 nmol/L vs.1.6±0.4 nmol/L,P<0.01).Mean levels of tested antioxidants were significantly lower in the internal spermatic venous blood compared to those in the peripheral one(superoxide dismutase 1690.7±130.0 U/mL vs.1818.5±143.0 U/mL,catalase 38.9±6.1 mol/L vs.47.9±10.2 mol/L,GPx 20.4±8.1 U/mL vs.23.0±8.4 U/mL,vita- min C 0.3±0.1 vs.0.4±0.1 mg/dL,P<0.05).Conclusion:Internal spermatic venous blood of infertile male cases associated with varicocele demonstrated elevated levels of ROS and decreased levels of antioxidants compared to peripheral venous circulation.(Asian J Androl 2006 Jul;8:451-454)

Aim： To assess laminin levels in the seminal plasma of infertile and fertile men, and to analyze the correlation of laminin levels with sperm count, age, sperm motility and semen volume. Methods： One hundred and twenty-five recruited men were equally divided into five groups according to their sperm concentration and clinical examination： fertile normozoospermia, oligoasthenozoospermia, non-obstructive azoospermia （NOA）, obstructive azoospermia （OA） and congenital bilateral absent vas deferens （CBAVD）. The patients＇ medical history was investigated and patients underwent clinical examination, conventional semen analysis and estimation of seminal plasma laminin by radioimmunoassay. Results： Seminal plasma laminin levels of successive groups were： 2.82 ± 0.62, 2.49 ± 0.44, 1.77 ± 0.56, 1.72 ± 0.76, 1.35 ± 0.63 U/mL, respectively. The fertile normozoospermic group showed the highest concentration compared to all infertile groups with significant differences compared to azoospermic groups （P 〈 0.05）. Testicular contribution was estimated to be approximately one-third of the seminal laminin. Seminal plasma laminin demonstrated significant correlation with sperm concentration （r = 0.460, P 〈 0.001） and nonsignificant correlation with age （r = 0.021, P = 0.940）, sperm motility percentage （r = 0.142, P = 0.615） and semen volume （r = 0.035, P = 0.087）. Conelusion： Seminal plasma laminin is derived mostly from prostatic and testicular portions and minimally from the seminal vesicle and vas deferens. Estimating seminal laminin alone is not conclusive in diagnosing different cases of male infertility.

The main focus of this research is the effect of training and job performance on employees’*** object of this research is all employees in PT Garuda Indonesia Training *** study was done among 50 respondents using saturated sampling technique,all the population will be used as a sample of this *** method used in this research is Structural Equation Model(SEM)with Smart-PLS analysis tools version *** shows that the training gives positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction(H1).The other shows that the performance also gives a positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction(H2).Therefore,it is concluded that there are positive and significant effects of training and job performance on the employee satisfaction in PT Garuda Indonesia Training Center.

The genus Schinus(Anacardiaceae)comprises about 29 species that are utilized in both traditional and current medicine to alleviate various disorders such as rheumatism,bronchial infections,stomach upset,menstrual disturbance,bronchitis,and *** this study we aimed to investigate the chemical composition of hexane extracts obtained from Schinus polygamous and Schinus terebinthifolius leaves as well as their cytotoxic and anti-arthritic *** GC-MS analysis of *** leaves revealed identification of fifty-five components:being betulin(6.54%),phytol acetate(5.27%),lupeol(3.96%),palmitic acid methyl ester(3.58%)and heptacosane(3.25%).While,seventeen compounds were identified in *** leaves,predominately characterized by phytol(14.70%),lupeol(13.33%),linolenic acid methyl ester(11.17%),palmitic acid methyl ester(7.74%),and 28-oxours-12-en-3-yl acetate(7.44%).Both extracts showed moderate cytotoxic activities against hepatocellular carcinoma cells with IC_(50) values of 102.65 and 65.55μg/mL,*** colorectal carcinoma cell line presented IC_(50) values of 217.78 and 83.55μg/mL,***,both extracts provided moderate anti-arthritic effects(IC_(50):80.12 and 63.09μg/mL,respectively)using protein denaturation test,compared to diclofenac sodium(IC_(50)=15.12μg/mL).
