Constraints of Mantle and Crustal Sources Interaction during Orogenesis of Pre-and Post-collision Granitoids from the northern Arabian-nubian Shield:A Case Study from Wadi El-Akhder Granitoids,Southern Sinai,Egypt

The Egyptian older and younger granitic rocks emplaced during pre-and post-collision stages of neoproterozoic Pan-African orogeny,respectively,are widely distributed in the southern Sinai Peninsula,constituting 70% of the basement *** Wadi El-Akhder,southwestern Sinai,is a mountainous terrain exposing two granitoid suites,namely the Wadi El-Akhder Older Granites(AOG)and the Homra Younger Granites(HYG).The AOG(granodiorites with subordinate tonalite compositions)have geochemical characteristics of medium-K calc-alkaline,metaluminous to mildly peraluminous granitoids formed in an island-arc environment,which are conformable with well-known Egyptian older granitoids rocks,whereas the HYG display calc-alkaline to slightly alkaline nature,peraluminous syeno-,monzogranites and alkali feldspar granites matching well those of the Egyptian younger *** respect to the AOG granitoids,the HYG granites contain lower Al_(2)O_(3),FeO^(*),MgO,MnO,CaO,TiO_(2),Sr,Ba,and V,but higher na_(2)O,K_(2)O,nb,Zr,Th,and *** AOG are generally characterized by enrichment in LILE and LREE and depletion in HFSE relative to n-MORB values(e.g.,negative nb and Ta anomalies).The geochemical features of the AOG follow assimilation-fractional crystallization(AFC)trends indicative of extensive crustal contamination of magma derived from a mantle *** chemical characteristics of the AOG are remarkably similar to those of subduction-related granitoids from the Arabiannubian Shield(AnS).The compositional variations from monzogranites through syenogranites to alkali feldspar granite within HYG could not be explained by fractional crystallization *** the whole-rock composition of the HYG to melts generated by experimental dehydration melting of meta-sedimentary and magmatic rocks reveals that they appear to be derived by extended melting of psammitic and pelitic metasediments,which is similar to the most of younger granitic suites in the AnS.

The present study deals with double-diffusive convection within a two-dimensional inclined cavity filled with an air-CO_(2) binary gas *** left and the right vertical walls are differentially heated and subjected to different locations of(CO_(2))contaminants to allow for the variation of the buoyancy strength(n).However,the horizontal walls are assumed *** simulations are conducted using the finite volume method to solve the conservation equations of continuity,momentum,energy,and species *** agreement with other numerical results in the literature is *** effect of multiple parameters,namely,buoyancy ratio(n),thermal Rayleigh number(Ra),and inclination angle(α)on entropy generation rate is analyzed and discussed in the postprocessing stage,while considering both laminar and turbulent flow *** computations reveal that these parameters considerably affect both the heat and mass transfer performances of the system.

The reaction of the ligands,ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid terasodium salt(na 4EDTA)and n—n heterocyclic diamines like2,2’-bipyridine(bipy)with iron(Ⅱ)sulfate with 1∶2∶2 stoichiometric ratios form the mononuclear ternary complex of formulae,[Fe_(2)(EDTA)(bipy)2]at pH~*** FTIR and Raman laser spectra of the iron(Ⅱ)complex show that 2,2’-bipyridine is present asa bidentate ligand and the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid terasodium salt as monodentate carboxylate *** electronic spectra and magnetic moments data suggest the six coordination *** has two iron(Ⅱ)centers in octahedral environments,which are interlinked by carboxylato-O atoms of ethylenediaminetetraacetate and by nitrogen atoms of the two 2,2-bipyridine ligands in a chelating *** analysis study show thatiron(Ⅱ)complex containing EDTA and 2,2’-bipyridine on its thermalde composition form the corresponding Fe_(2)O_(3) oxide in nano size at the temperature range~475℃.The iron(Ⅱ)complex was performed as a convenient low cost precursor for the preparation of Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles by the the thermal decomposition *** iron(Ⅲ)oxide composition has been discussedusing FTIR,X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX).

This paper highlights the crucial role of Indonesia’s GnSS receiver network in advancing Equatorial Plasma Bubble(EPB)studies in Southeast and East Asia,as ionospheric irregularities within EPB can disrupt GnSS signals and degrade positioning *** by the Indonesian Geospatial Information Agency(BIG),the Indonesia Continuously Operating Reference Station(Ina-CORS)network comprises over 300 GnSS receivers spanning equatorial to southern low-latitude ***-CORS is uniquely situated to monitor EPB generation,zonal drift,and dissipation across Southeast *** provide a practical tool for EPB research,by sharing two-dimensional rate of Total Electron Content(TEC)change index(ROTI)derived from this *** generate ROTI maps with a 10-minute resolution,and samples from May 2024 are publicly available for further scientific *** preliminary findings from the ROTI maps of Ina-CORS are ***,the Ina-CORS ROTI maps reveal that the irregularities within a broader EPB structure persist longer,increasing the potential for these irregularities to migrate farther ***,we demonstrate that combined ROTI maps from Ina-CORS and GnSS receivers in East Asia and Australia can be used to monitor the development of ionospheric irregularities in Southeast and East *** have demonstrated the combined ROTI maps to capture the development of ionospheric irregularities in the Southeast/East Asian sector during the G5 Geomagnetic Storm on May 11,*** observed simultaneous ionospheric irregularities in Japan and Australia,respectively propagating northwestward and southwestward,before midnight,whereas Southeast Asia’s equatorial and low-latitude regions exhibited irregularities *** sharing ROTI maps from Indonesia and integrating them with regional GnSS networks,researchers can conduct comprehensive EPB studies,enhancing the understanding of EPB behavior across Southeast and East Asia and contributing significantly to ionosphe

Statistically non-significant Papers in Environmental Health Studies included more Outcome Variables

Objective The number of analyzed outcome variables is important in the statistical analysis and interpretation of research findings. This study investigated published papers in the field of environmental health studies. We aimed to examine whether differences in the number of reported outcome variables exist between papers with non-significant findings compared to those with significant findings. Articles on the maternal exposure to mercury and child development were used as examples. Methods Articles published between 1995 and 2013 focusing on the relationships between maternal exposure to mercury and child development were collected from Medline and Scopus. Results Of 87 extracted papers, 73 used statistical significance testing and 38（43.7%） of these reported ＇non-significant＇（P〉0.05） findings. The median number of child development outcome variables in papers reporting ＇significant＇（n=35） and ＇non-significant＇（n=38） results was 4 versus 7, respectively（Mann-Whitney test P-value=0.014）. An elevated number of outcome variables was especially found in papers reporting non-significant associations between maternal mercury and outcomes when mercury was the only analyzed exposure variable. Conclusion Authors often report analyzed health outcome variables based on their P-values rather than on stated primary research questions. Such a practice probably skews the research evidence.

Karyological and morphometric variation of the north African green frog Pelophylax saharicus (Anura) in northeastern Africa

Morphometric variation ofPelophylax saharicus was analysed using univariate and multivariate statistics, with both traditional and geometric morphometrics, based on 148 specimens from four different geographical localities in Tunisia and Algeria. The results show the existence of three morphotypes in Tunisia and one in Algeria, and indicate a significant degree of variation in morphometric characters between regions. Specimens from the southernmost region have the smallest body size and the greatest morphometrie divergence from other populations. This pattern of morphometric variation probably results from phenotypic plasticity in response to local environmental factors. The results of our chromosomal study （C-, Ag-nOR-, endonuclease digestion, DAPI, CMA3 and Q-banding） reveal this species to exhibit the plesiomorphic Pelophylax karyotype of 2n=26 biarmed chromosomes and nORs on the eleventh pair. Similarities and differences of the north African green frog are discussed in relation to the different forms of data collected （chromosomal, morphometric, ecological） [Current Zoology 56 （6）： 678~586, 2010].

Species of the ciliate class Heterotrichea Stein,1859 are a cosmopolitan group of unicellular eukaryotic microorganisms,many of which have been widely used as models in various fields of research such as regenerative biology,functional ecol-ogy,environmental toxicology,and symbiotic ***,species identification in the heterotrich family Condylos-tomatidae,especially the most species-rich and type genus Condylostoma Bory de Saint-Vincent,1824,remains challenging due to incomplete original descriptions,few reliable distinguishing characters,and overlapping features between different *** study presents an updated revision of Condylostoma and its related genus Condylostomides da Silva neto,1994 based on descriptions of five species,including nine populations collected from China,using both morphological and molecular *** main findings are as follows:(1)43 nominal species and about 130 populations are reviewed,result-ing in the recognition of 30 valid species of Condylostoma and eight valid species of Condylostomides;(2)keys,synonyms,biogeographic distributions and amended/improved diagnoses of all valid species are provided;(3)based on the available data,four new Condylostoma species(*** ***.,*** ***.,*** ***.,and *** ***.),one new combination(Condylostomides minimus(Dragesco,1954)***.&***.),and two corrected names(Condylostoma ancestrale Villeneuve-Brachon,1940 *** Condylostomides nigrus(Dragesco,1960)***.)are suggested;(4)cryptic species are detected and proposed for the first time to form the Condylostoma curvum spe-cies complex;(5)three highly confusing Condylostoma species,***,***,and ***,are redefined for the first time based on modern taxonomic methods;(6)a‘flagship’species,Condylostomides coeruleus,is recorded for the first time from the continent of Asia,substantially expanding its biogeography;(7)ciliature adjacent to the distal end of the paroral mem
