According to the container recycling institute,nearly a million plastic beverage bottles are sold every minute around the *** bottles are considered as an urban junk,however,it has shape characteristics which make them usable in construction in lieu of conventional *** research promotes the use of recycled plastic bottles as eco-bricks by substituting it with the typical construction *** evaluates the thermal performance of sand filled plastic bottle-walls in a comparative analysis with traditional composite brick *** thermal performance of the plastic bottle walls was evaluated through COMSOL®Multi-physics and the results are noted.

The present work was carried out on 20 epididymes of sexually mature one humped camel to elucidate the gross anatomical, scanning electron microscopical and light microscopical features of the epididymal duct. Anatomically, the epididymal duct of camel consists of three parts i.e. head, body and tail. Histomorphologically, the epididymal duct is subdivided into initial, middle and terminal segments, of which the middle segment is further subdivided into proximal, intermediate and distal parts. The epithelium lining the epididymal duct is ciliated pseudostratified columnar comprising mainly five cell types, namely principal, basal, apical, dark and halo cells. It displays numerous intraepithelial glands in the middle segment. In general, there is a gradual increase in the total diameter and decrease in the epithelial height of the epididymal duct from the initial to the terminal segments;that may, mechanically, facilities passage of the sperms toward the terminal segment. The lamina propria of the epididymal duct contains a layer of interlacing elastic fibers which may allow adequate elasticity of the duct that could help in its expansion. Moreover it is surrounded by numerous layers of circularly and obliquely arranged smooth muscle fibers which always increase in thickness toward the terminal segment.

Background:Growth abnormalities are uniquely associated with autism spectrum disorders(ASD);however,the extent to which growth abnormalities are present has hardly been *** current study aims to compare the differences in anthropometric parameters in a group of autistic Egyptian children and the healthy normal ***:We recruited 100 children with ASD from the Outpatient Clinic for"Autistic Children"at the Medical Research Hospital of Excellence,National Research Centre in Cairo,*** were diagnosed by DSM-IV criteria of the American Psychiatric Association,Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised,and Childhood Autism Rating *** these children at age of 3-10 years,71 were males and 29 *** anthropometric parameters were assessed in view of data of the healthy Egyptians of pertinent sex and ***:Weight and body mass index increased because of a signifi cant increase in subcutaneous fat *** tendency with a probable decrease in muscle mass was more evident in male or in older children,likely resulting from sedentary life style and food ***:The Z head circumference score and its variance signifi cantly increased especially in males or older children,suggesting the relative overgrowth of the brain in a substantial percentage of Egyptian children with *** concluded that increased fat composition in Egyptian autistic children with decreased muscle mass necessitates tailoring a specially designed food supplementation program to ameliorate the severity of autism symptoms.

Quinazoline isothiocyanate 1 reacts with various nucleophiles (nitrogen nucleophiles, oxygen nucleophiles and sulphur nucleophiles) to afford heterocyclic systemes 2–13. Also, the [4 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of 1 with phenyl isocyanate, benzylidene aryl amine and cinnamic acid derivatives gave novel heterocyclic compounds 14–16. Moreover, the reaction of 1 with active methylene compounds under Michael reaction conditions also was investigated to yield 17 and 18 and it was found that all these reactions proceeded via isothiocyanate heterocyclization to furnish non-condensed heterocyclic compounds. Some of the newly synthesized compounds were tested for their antimicrobial activities.

A series of 1-glycosyl-2-glycosylthiopyrimidine (4), annelated pyrimidinederivatives, pyrazolo[3,4-d]-pyrimidine (8), ditetrazolo[1,5-a;1′,5′-c]pyrimidine (9),2,9a,10-triazaanthracene (12), thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine (14), 9-thia-1,3,5,7-tetraazafluorene-8-one(15), 7-oxa-9-thia-1,3,5-triazafluorene-8-one (16), 5-oxa-9-thia-1,3-diaza-fluorene (21a and 21b)derivatives have been synthesized via a sequence of heterocyclization reactions of suitablyfunctionalized6-[5-(4-bromophenyl)oxazol-4-yl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2-thioxo-4-oxopyrimidine-5-carbonitrile (2) withdifferent electrophiles and nucleophiles. The new compounds were prepared with the objective tostudy their pharmacological properties.

In this work,a phenomenological model is applied to describe the magnetocaloric effect for the La_(0.75)Ca_(0.25)MnO_(3)system near a second-order phase transition from a ferromagnetic to a paramagnetic *** on this model,it can predict the values of the magnetocaloric properties from calculation of magnetization as a function of temperature under different external magnetic *** magnetic entropy change reaches a peak of about 5.39 J/(kg·K)at 257 K upon 4 T applied field ***ΔSM distribution is much more uniform than that of gadolinium,which is desirable for an Ericson-cycle magnetic refrigerator.
