An experim.nt was.conducted for s.udying the clus.er s.ructure of Be induced by He ions.at an energy of 30 *** res.lts.of the nuclear reaction^(3)He+^(9)Be,the differential cros. s.ctions.for the exit channels.elas.ic,inelas.ic,α+^(8)Be,^(6)He+^(6)Be,^(6)Li+^(6)Li,and^(7)Be+^(5)He–were *** and inelas.ic s.attering data were treated within both the optical m.del and coupled channel m.thod.A new s.t of optical potentials.was.cons.dered for the elas.ic *** deform.tion param.ter was.es.ablis.ed for the trans.tion 3/2→5/*** trans.er reactions.were analyzed via the coupled reaction channel *** nuclear reactions.with the exit channels.(6)He+^(6)Be,^(6)Li+^(6)Li,and^(7)Be+^(5)He were com.lem.nted by two-s.ep trans.er *** contribution of each reaction m.chanis. were s.own and com.ared with the findings.of other authors.

Directed x-rays.produced in the interaction of s.b-picos.cond las.r puls.s.of m.derate relativis.ic intens.ty with plas.a of near-critical dens.ty are inves.igated. s.nchrotron-like (betatron) radiation occurs.in the proces. of direct las.r acceleration (DLA) of electrons.in a relativis.iclas.r channel when the electrons.undergo trans.ers. betatron os.illations.in s.lf-generated quas.-s.atic electric and m.gnetic fields. In anexperim.nt at the PHeLIX las.r s.s.em. high-current directed beam.0}of DLA electrons.with a m.an energy ten tim.s.higher than the ponderom.tive potential and m.xim.m.energy up to 100 m.V were m.as.red at 10^(19) W/cm.(2)las.r intens.ty. The s.ectrum.of directed x-rays.n the range of 5–60 keV was.evaluated us.ng two s.ts.of Ros. filters.placed at 0°and 10°to the las.r puls. propagation axis. The differential x-ray abs.rption m.thod allowed for abs.lute m.as.rem.nts.of the angular-dependent photon fluence. We report 10^(13) photons.s. withenergies.>5 keV m.as.red at 0°to the las.r axis.and a brilliance of 10^(21) photons.s.(−1) m.^(−2) m.ad−2(0.1%BW)−1. The angular dis.ributionof the em.s.ion has.an FWHm.of 14°–16°. Thanks.to the ultra-high photon fluence, point-like radiation s.urce, and ultra-s.ort em.s.iontim., DLA-bas.d keV backlighters.are prom.s.ng for various.applications.in high-energy-dens.ty res.arch with kilojoule petawatt-clas. las.rfacilities.

In this.paper, the effects.of currents.on the wave s.attering by s.otted breakwaters.are inves.igated by us.ng a s.m.le m.del. The m.del is.bas.d on a long wave approxim.tion. The effects.of wave height, barrier geom.try and current s.rength on the reflection and trans.is.ion coefficients.are exam.ned by the m.del. The m.del res.lts.are com.ared with recent experim.ntal data. It is.found that both the wave-following and wave-oppos.ng currents.can increas. the reflection coefficient and reduce the trans.is.ion coefficient. The m.del can be us.d to s.udy the interaction between long waves.and s.otted breakwaters.in coas.al waters.

This.s.udy was.perform.d to as.es. the root horm.nal accum.lation and gene expres.ion in res.ons. to Al toxicity in five trans.enic m.niature dwarf tom.toes.cv. m.cro-Tom.(m.). m. and m. trans.enics.to acid indole acetic, cytokinin, gibberellin, abs.is.c acid and ethylene were cultivated in nutrient s.lutions.containing different Al concentrations. Root growth elongation was.m.as.red and cellular dam.ge was.vis.alized by s.aining evans.s.blue. The GUs.reporter gene s.aining technique was.us.d to vis.alize horm.nal changes.in m. apex root tis.ues. Data indicated that the m. is.s.ns.tive to Al that induced s.gnificant growth inhibition and cellular dam.ge. Al concentration of 27 μm.was.s.gnificantly toxic, inducing root apex darkening and inhibition of root developm.nt. The qualitative evaluation of GUs.reporter gene expres.ion s.owed intens. cros.talk am.ng all horm.nes.s.udied, unders.oring the com.lexity of s.gnaling induced by Al in apex roots. Res.lts.point out to a m.jor unders.anding of the horm.nal s.gnaling in res.ons. to Al toxicity, which m.y induce a change of root growth and architecture with growth inhibition and cell cons.raints.m.dulated by all different horm.nes.evaluated.
