There is thus likely to be future clinica. releva.ce in ha.nessing our growing knowledge both of a.optotic mecha.isms, a.d their regula.ion, in the sea.ch to a.hieve moda.ities for thera.eutic benefit. Surfa.e Disea.e Index(OSDI)questionna.re,non-inva.ive tea. brea.-up time(NITBUT),tea. meniscus height(TMH),a.d lipid la.er pa.tern(LLP).Ba.ed on these initia. results,pa.ticipa.ts were ca.egorized a. either non-dry eye or dry *** in ea.h group were ra.domly a.loca.ed to either Blepha.lea.■or Systa.e■*** in NITBUT,TMH,a.d LLP levels before a.d a.ter lid wipe trea.ment were ***:The dry eye group exhibited significa.tly higher OSDI scores a.d lower NITBUT a.d TMH levels tha. in the non-dry eye group(Pa.plica.ion of eyelid wipes(Systa.e■wipes),dry eye subjects experienced a.significa.t improvement in NITBUT levels(P=0.0014)compa.ed to the non-dry eye *** the rema.ning pa.ticipa.ts showed a.ma.gina. increa.e in TMH a.d NITBUT levels,these cha.ges did not a.hieve sta.istica. significa.ce(P>0.05).Simila.ly,the LLP levels were significa.tly improved with Systa.e■(Pa.ment compa.ed to individua.s in the non-dry eye ***,the dry eye subjects showed higher posttrea.ment LLP levels tha. the untrea.ed group(Pa.e®eyelid wipes on tea. film pa.a.eters suggest their effectiveness in dry eye ***,further explora.ion of their long-term impa.t is essentia. to justify their cost effectiveness a.d effica.y in trea.ing both a.ueous deficiency a.d eva.ora.ive dryness.
